I know he is young and this is his first job, but geeze… just listen and follow directions please. I am not sure that is going to go in a positive direction. That is making my coworker a bit cranky. But, I must say even with all that going on, it is good to be employed and I don’t mind the work most days. The recycling stuff I am just getting involved more in. It is really interesting to learn about ways to dispose of things.

It sounds like you are doing really well with your job. It's hard when those that we work with aren't pulling their own weight.

Please find yourself a Dr. I k now it stinks bigtime. Just remember it is better to be safe than sorry. It is only a few minutes . I do agree female Dr’s are better than male ones. I have a female one now. Actually she is a nurse practitioner. She is great.

I really like my doctor. It's a female too. I could never ask my regular GP to do a female exam.

As far as keeping treats in the house, an absolute no for me. I will eat them all. I am really stuggling right now. I am not sure what it is, but I am BORED with Insanity and just don’t want to do anything else. YUCK! I am hoping it is only a funk, but it can’t go on much longer. I have to get it in gear!!

I get bored easily which is one reason I don't have a treadmill or eliptical still in my house. I used to have each of them, but I would get bored with it. I do like my Wii and do want to get back to doing that. Even with that, I like to do something different every day.

Maggie – how did your weigh in go?

Not as good as I would have liked, but I was down -.4 lb At least it wasn't up. Just slow going.

Well I am off to relax a bit. I took a vacation day tomorrow before I get super swamped. I plan to play in my room all day! Can't wait!

I will be back later.
Hope you had a fun day off and got lots done.

As the evening passed on, i started coughing and my throat started getting more sore by the minute. By the next morning, I was full blown cold symptoms as well as my son (who lives with them - going to school). So I didn't go back to the hospital that morning but sis 1 called and said they were releasing him. Basically there's nothing more they can do. It's so ridiculous that we have to deal with their craziness. We should all be working together to take care of our parents. It's a really long story but it's so frustrating.

Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers. He definitely still needs them but at least he's at home now and comfortable. Dr says it's all up to him on how he'll do. I'm really trying not to think about it. My dad is only 73 but his stroke a few years back really did a number on him...

I'm not ready for this
So sorry about your dad and sorry that you're sick. I hope you get over it soon and that you can get your dad settled somewhere he'll be happy and well taken care of. Sending up prayers for you and your family.

Glad you were able to get your dental work done even though it meant pain. If you hadn't gotten it done, you would have had lots more pain later. Soup is good.

Keep at it, you'll win something one of these days. I really have been neglecting blog commenting and need to get around to visit. I want to see your badges.

Doing okay, busy. Have a women's meeting at church tomorrow. They're having some interesting workshops and will feed us lunch. I need to go get some things done.

Also, *GULP!!* I am considering trying my hand at making some You Tube videos!! You guys ever do those? I really want to increase my online exposure (hence being more active on my blog lately!) and try to generate some online activity! Any suggestions are welcome!
Put lots of your stuff on Pinterest. Oh and put a photo of what you made in the video on Pinterest, stating that it is an video.

That's all I've got. I'm pretty new at this. When I can drive again I'll try again to get back in touch with the Cancer Society. Before surgery I tried and their phones are constantly busy. I can't even leave a message. I finally got someone at the State level and they gave me a number to try but after I left a message, no one returned my calls. I wanted to ask them if I organized a group at church to make cards for them... if they could use them, sell them what ever. I'd like to make use of what I make and love to do. ACS is my first choice for a charity to give or volunteer for.

I told DH that I would be coming to bed in just a few, so I have to rush.

Dorlene - I'm so sorry to hear about your Dad. You and your family are in my prayers.

My brother is doing great...almost done with therapy.

I am kinda excited for my new job on Monday. It will be a different atmosphere from my last office job. My last boss was a hot headed control freak. This guy is very laid back. I'm kinda nervous too though.

Maggie - Of course I'll post pics as soon as I get the lunch pail done. Yesterday, I made the cutest Post It holder for DD. The new semester started Wednesday, and she bought the larger Post-Its. While she was at work, I made a cover for them. It has a ladybug on the front. She had a friend who committed suicide a year ago, and he called her "Bug". (We all call her KatieBug.) She was really missing him one day while she was in her room, and a ladybug landed on her arm. She said it was J.C. coming to say Hi. Since then, whenever we see a ladybug, we think of him.

OK, my time is up!!!

You'll be great at the job Pam. Don't be nervous.

Oh how sad and sweet at the same time. Hugs to your DD.

Oh, annnnddddd....... the end of next week... I CAN DRIVE!!!! yipee freedom, independence!!

YAY Carole! Things are getting better!

Pam, so glad to hear your brother is getting better.
Maggie - enjoy your women's group meetings today at church. sounds pretty cool to have lunch and workshops for y'all.
Jackie, UGH! toothache = no fun! I always use baby orejel (sp?) to put right on the tooth and gums. It numbs it right up. Add that to your pain meds - I bet it'll help.
Nancy, Athina, and AM - hey there! Hope all is well.

DH and I just got back from exploring our new Walmart that just opened up in our town. It is so amazing! HUGE and so clean! No more long trips out of town to buy stuff! Woo Hoo!

I don't remember the name of the line. They had two to choose from an onky allowed one per family. One was reds and punks the other was blues, greens and browns. I went for the blue set. The papers looked like they would work for masculine as well as feminine cards.

LOL

Funny how we can get excited over a Walmart! I hate driving long distances to go to the store. When we lived in VA, for several, years we didn't even have agrocery nearby. Then eventually I had one walking distance from my house. I loved that store!

Another cold day here....bbrrrr!! I never even went outside today! I put the Post It Note Holder on my blog and worked on my lunch pail for a little bit this afternoon. The mess on my work table keeps getting bigger and bigger.

What a score on the MME pad. We only have one lame craft store here, and they don't have any good scrapping stuff. Occasionally, Tuesday Morning has something, but I rarely go in there.

Woo Hoo!
It was a great day! Met up with some old friends and lots of new ones. The workshops were fun and very informative. I have so much to work on now.

Went to the grocery store after I got home and then had a voice mail on my answering machine from a GF so I had to call her. By then it was time to work in my stamp room on my DT cards. I actually got into bed by 10 which is good for me.

What a score on the MME pad. We only have one lame craft store here, and they don't have any good scrapping stuff. Occasionally, Tuesday Morning has something, but I rarely go in there.
I've heard others talk about buying stuff at Tuesday Morning. I've gone to the one close to me a time or two, but it's like a dump. Not very attractive and it's hard to find things. The couple items I did find (not stamp related) were much more expensive than I would have thought.

Good morning PJ girls.

I need to go get breakfast and then get my crockpot going. I bought stuff to make a meal this week so that I'll have leftovers for lunch and not depend on frozen dinners.

That's exactly the way our TM is. I guess it appeals to people who like garage sales, lots of looking and once and while you find a deal. I'm just too impatient for that, and scrounging around through junky, sometimes smelly stuff just creeps me out. I like to be in pretty stores where the atmosphere feels good and makes me happy. I guess that's kinda weird huh?

Ohhhh I love antique stores, but the smell??? BLECK! It's old and musty and mothbally. It makes me feel very sad. Once and while I go into one that has potpourri and stuff that smells wonderful. I just love that - it makes me happy.

Hey Maggie, whatcha makin' in the crock pot?

Carole - So glad things are progressing positively for you. Freedom is just around the corner!

Maggie - sounds like you had a good day!

Pam - Good Luck starting your new job tomorrow! I am excited for you!

Jackie - I hope your mouth is feeling better!

Dorlene - Whenever DH and I travel, we always check out the local Walmart. Don't know why, but it is something to do.

Nancy - score on the MME pads. I would love to find a deal like that.

Hi AM!

Well, I haven't been around much this weekend. But I am feeling very accomplished!!! I took Friday off work and got so much done. I finished up a few things today and I have all but 1 card done for my Feb DT requirements!!! YEAHH!!! The stress was getting to me and I had to take care of it. So I buckled down and focused. I have all the pictures taken and posted in draft blog entries. I am traveling this week to OKC, so I plan to work on the posts on the plane. Hopefully I will get a lot done. But I am guessing I won't. My BFF is my counterpart at work and she is going with me. She scheduled her seat right next to me. Which is fine, if I don't get it done on the plane, I can work in the room (maybe).

Last night we played cards with my my in-laws (parents & brother with wife). We found out my BIL & SIL are having another baby. That makes #6. WOWZERS!!! This is only her second one. She is very sweet and so good with all the kids. They say this is the last. But I am happy for them, they wanted one more. My MIL & FIL weren't so happy, because they have so many kids.

Oh, and some more exciting news.... I have been looking at the Cameo Silhouettes and searching around. Finally my DH said on Friday, just buy the thing. But I didn't have enough money saved. So he told me he would pay $200 and I could pay the rest!!! YIPPEE!!! It should get here while I am traveling this week. Can't wait to play with that.

Ok, so I am being a jabber jaws! I will stop typing. I plan to visit blogs tonight. Have a great rest of the day!

The sun is shining and it's going to be a great day!

I made Cranberry & Apple Chicken. I did need to make extra veggies to go with it. I could have thickened up the juices, but I didn't. It turned out pretty yummy. I have some Just For One Green Giant veggies and I just made one of those to go along with it.

I did. Thanks. Sounds like you did too. Hope you have a good productive trip coming up to OKC. Congrats to your BIL and SIL on the new baby. Since they are the ones having the baby, can't see why your MIL and FIL are not happy about it. As long as they can give them a loving home, then it's all good.

Score on the Silhouette! Hope you just love it.

Glad you got to sleep in this morning. I did get 8 hours which I only get on the weekend.

It started out sunny here, but was raining when I got out of church at 3. Now it's all gray.

Wow!
Y'all will never guess what happened to me!!
I checked my online bank account (for my little stamping account) this afternoon, and there was a charge for 79.00 that I did not make. YIKES.

So I called the credit card company and they suggested I contact Amazon first to see if they would resolve the issue without having to cancel my card. Bank gave me the number for Amazon and I called. It was a charge for Amazon Prime, which I did not want. So they sent me a refund notice in my email.

So now I am just hoping that the refund goes through tomorrow morning cause that 79 dollars would cause me to be overdrawn. I'll call the bank first thing in the morning. geeze bout gave me a heart attack kwim?

Thanks Maggie.

I don't think that is the baby at all. They are good parents, but he is on his third wife and pays support for 4 of the children. He works three jobs to keep up. I think that is their concern. They do help them financially and they rent off his parents. I am not sure if they pay rent or not, not my business. But I think they are just concerned about the burden of another baby. They live in a 3 bedroom home. This baby will put all 4 girls in one bedroom and 2 boys in one. It is only every other weekend, but still a bit cramped. His parents would never say anything to them, but they do talk to us on occasion it has come up about them having another one. His parents did not want them to. It will all work out. I am just happy that he finally seems to be happy and content with her and she is very sweet.

Morning!

Wow, Carole; that sucks about your acct! I do hope the bank doesn't charge you!!!

Hi Athina! Have a safe trip & I hope you have a good time...even if it is for work! Never heard of that machine you're talking about but I'm sure you'll make some really pretty things with it...can't wait to see them!!!!!

Hi Maggie! Sounds like you have been very productive!!! Crock pot meals sounds really good right about now & I'm about to make some beef stew in mine. It's the kiddos fave so I know they will enjoy it!

Dorlene, I'm glad you were able to sleep in. You sound so refreshed....it's amazing what a good night's sleep will do for you isn't it?!!!

Hey Nancy & Pam! What are you guys up to? Hopefully behaving yourselves LOL!!!!

Well; the pain is much less but there's still a slight throb in the upper left part of my mouth. It hurts like hell to try & floss in there....she took out all the old metallic fillings & replaced them with the nice white stuff. One tooth up there needed a crown so there's a temporary in there...it's just really tender! I go see her for the permanent on the 8th & I'll be so happy! She complimented me on how healthy my teeth & gums are giving all the unfortunate circumstances I've had to deal with practically my entire life. I do try people & as soon as I was *grown* enough; I started going to the dentist on a regular basis on my own. Too bad a LOT of damage was already done but I'm not giving up just yet.

I am proud to say that my children have perfect teeth! They've never had any cavities & I'm all over them about brushing, flossing & rinsing those things. Some people let their circumstances dictate the rest of their lives but I'm one determined sistah that saw a different path & took it!!!

Have a great day all & I'll BBL

Good morning! Just left some love for everyone. I hope everyone had a good weekend. Carole, that's good you caught that charge!

Last night I was reading before bed and I saw something out of the corner of eye and looked up and a bat flew into the family room. I had to get DH out of bed to try and catch it!

What are every Inez's plans for the day?

I hate when you have to set up automatic debits especially for something that you know you're not going to want in the future and then have to go through all the aggravation to get it cancelled. Glad that it was something that you could easily get fixed. I hope it's all okay today.

Wow! That is quite a situation. I do hope that it all works out for them. I really believe that families should be limited if you can't afford to take care of them, because then you may end up on welfare and then we have to take care of them. That' great that the Grand parents are willing and able to help them out and I can see where their concern comes from.

Gosh, you sound pretty calm... did you scream? Jump up on the sofa? Do you think it came down the chimney? We had a bird come down ours once and landed in the fireplace. Also had a lizard once.

I got an email from Amazon telling me that my refund will be credited to my card. I called the bank back this morning and they said as soon as the refund goes through, it will wipe out my overdraft and I will not be charged for an overdraft, but if by some chance I do see an overdraft charge to call back and they will remove it. This is just my little Stampin' Up! account. It never has much money in it. Well it did for a couple hours after the craft show. Then I went home, got on line and spent most of it! giggles
