I don't car one way or the other if we continue the monthly challenges. I think getting something in the mail is more fun though!

I have a Kindle app on my phone and have been doing all of my reading on there! Tiny little print!! LOL I have been reading A LOT lately! Forgotten how much I really enjoy it!
DD found an app that has 10 of Nicholas Sparks books on it, and it was free. She's been looking for more free apps with books.

I have the Nook app, Kobo app and the Apple iBook app on my phone. I have an iPhone and I thought the print would be too small. Since you cam change the text size, i haven't noticed any problems reading on it.

Do you keep a food journal? Maybe it isn't what you are eating, but how much or even when. Maybe try tracking your calories for a while to get a better idea of exactly what you are consuming. It is a total PITA, but when I did it for a while it was an eye opener! Some things (even the good for us stuff) pack a punch with high calories and we wind up consuming way more than we think we are. There are some good phone apps that can help you track too! It is all about calories in VS calories burned. Keep up with your exercise (Great job on that btw!) and hopefully it will start to pay off soon!
I do keep track most of the time, but it is a royal PITA and I quit doing it sometimes. I just have to be better at it. My doctor tells me that I just need to track fat grams and not go over 30 fat grams per day. So much of what I do eat is fat free or low fat which is why I try to throw in some avocado and salmon sometimes because they are good for you fats.
I have a laptop and an iPad. We got DD1 a nook when they first came out and I wanted one too. DH suggested the iPad so I can read books and use it like a computer. It's sure comes in handy on trips, or just in the car. I don't have a camera on mine since it is the first one that came out.
I do have a kindle now. Someone gave DD their old kindle because they got a new one. She kept telling them she has a nook. It they insisted on giving it to her. So now I have it and I borrow books for free from Amazon!

Really!!!!! I love Nicholas Sparks and have read almost all of his. I actually have on in hardback that I need to read one of these days along with the rest of the hardback books in my library. It's so easy to read now with the Kindle. I bring it to work and read during my lunch hour after I go walk.

Gosh!! My phone and laptop are like life lines to me!! I am NEVER without my phone and often tote my laptop around too! LOL That is why I am shopping for a tablet of some sort.
The other one I signed up for on Facebook. You just have to search for Kindle or Kindle Fire on FB and it will come up where you can go to sign up to receive their e-mails every day.

I have a Blackberry and am about ready to trade it in for just a regular cell phone. I never use the features it has so it's really a waste of money for me. I pay for a data plan every month that I don't even use. All I want to do is text and talk and take pictures.

I honestly do not know what I do without my phone!! I text, IM, take pictures, keep my calendar, play words with friends (scrabble!), read, check my facebook, get news feeds, watch youtube vids, talk (LOL) and the list just goes on and on!
Ok, I have cleaned up the first few posts in our thread and removed the names of the ladies that have stepped away. It made me a little sad and I hope that they stop by from time to time for a visit.
I have officially decided to take the day off today and try to catch up on all things crafty! I am going to actually create something!! *Gasp!!* and post it to my blog (if I remember how!) and clean up my blog and my other crafty things! I have been running around like a crazy person lately and have barely stepped foot into my creative space.
I am also going to clean up the first few pages of this blog. I am going to remove the names of the ladies that no longer participate. That ok with everyone?

I will take care of the exchange. I have never done this before, but we will make it something fun. I am thinking to have it completed mid December, that way we are not right up to the holidays and I think I read that Maggie will be gone then. But let me think how to do it and I will get the info out!
Day 2 done! I think I just get so frustrated because I don't show any weight loss. I'm walking and working out for an hour a day. I guess I need to take better control of what I'm eating, but I really, really do not eat bad or a lot of junk food and still I don't see any improvement. I'm thinking I may have to have another talk with my doctor to see if there's a medical issue here.
Give it at least a week. You will see results. Stick with it!! I know it is hard and frustrating, I am in that boat with you. But let's keep paddling and we will make it up stream, I promise!

I am good with whatever we decide. Challenges are fun, but I like that this group it is optional. We all have lives. I love the flexibility here!
Just checkin in for a minute, we went to a chicken noodle super at church tonight. Those ladies make some awesome food. I am starving now, I only ate a little bit, as it is not on my diet. But I had to support them, right? DH is not working tonight, so I get to spend a little extra time with him tonight.

I honestly do not know what I do without my phone!! I text, IM, take pictures, keep my calendar, play words with friends (scrabble!), read, check my facebook, get news feeds, watch youtube vids, talk (LOL) and the list just goes on and on!
I don't text that much and since my DD's are grown up and gone and busy with my Grands, there's not that same need to be talking to them all the time. Everything else I can do on my computer at home or at work and can do on my Kindle Fire. No need to have the Blackberry because I never use it to check e-mails. Whenever I turn it on, it tells me I have 634 e-mails and all I do is scroll to the top and delete them all.

Yes, it is sad to see them leave, but it seems like it's the way of life. There are some that are steadfast and steady and others that sort of drift in and then out of the picture. It's great to have them here and to get to know them though for the time that they're here.

That sounds fun, but I can imagine it would wreak havoc with the thighs!!
Good and busy even though boss man isn't there. I still have tons to do and was working on getting some mediation packages done. I still haven't been able to get to any of the filing that I had planned on doing. Hopefully I'll get something done tomorrow. They day did fly by though. That was good.
