I only saw one lady post that one of the scrapbook crops was $45-$50, but they say you get a ton of free stuff and that they are totally worth it. Not sure how many workshops there are for the weekend, but they have them I guess every day of the weekend.
I wasnt planning on bringing any thing for crops. I do have a small bag that I could put supplies in but I was going to fly and who knows if they would let my succory and paper trimmer through security.

Originally I was going to fly in the morning, take train from airport to MOA, stay for the day and do the reverse home. But that was when I thought I would be going by myself.

I think a hotel would be the most expensive part. For those of you with a all day drive, you would probably stay at least one night overnight. So that would be your biggest expense. We haven't gotten that far in planning!

Not sure where you are coming from Brandy so you need to plan according to your finances. Not sure of each person's plans for how many days and if someone wants to take classes. If you need to stay overnight I would go online to see local hotels and get a rough idea on price. Usually at least $100 for hotel.

LOL! So we're all going to Scrap Fest and no one is going to actually go to the Scrap Fest and scrap!!!!!!

Nancy, I've flown before with various things in my suitcase. You just have to make sure you check that bag and not try to carry it on. I think the cutter would be okay, just don't take the scissors on the plane.

Glad you figured out I meant scissor! Ipad self corrects mistakes and I don't notice!

I hardly check luggage. For a day trip, I wouldn't have luggage.

I just want to shop around and gawk!

Congrats on getting the album done with time to spare, Brenda! Get some rest and rejuvenate so you'll be back to blogging

That's kind of my plan. Last time I let someone else have control of my luggage, they lost it! So I think a small carry on with neccesities.

I'm also not thinking about workshops or crops. Right now I'm looking more from the how can I get someone to pay me to write an article about scrapfest. Hehe... which means I"ll be too busy reporting to actually play. But come home with TONS of ideas. I can ship purchases home

I'm planning on putting money aside from each paycheck. Over the next 11 months, that would be a decent chunk. Since I won't get to go to TX in March (sorry Maggie) I'll have some money to funnel into that account.

Oh, definitely yes. Besides, I'm hoping that a few people I know will come to visit that I know won't be going to the Fest. Just have to work out all the details when it gets closer and we know what they are going to offer.

That would be good if you could write an article about it and then you could claim the expenses as a business deduction.

Well, it's okay if you're not coming to TX in March if I know that we'll be getting together in September.

I'm off for the night. I need to print out some digi images for my 2 DT's for next week. PSC is a Christmas card using pink on it in some way for Breast Cancer Awareness month.

That's where my mind is going. Having a feature in a glossy next year should help boost the credibility a bit

Hey Kelly find out who some of the sponsors are and if you could write for them? LOL

I think visiting, gawking ooooohhhhing and aaahhhhing would be a whole day! Getting ideas, seeing new products, seeing you girls!

I am working on posting about yesterday's workshop got some on blog already. A bit chilly here today. There was frost on the ground again. and it snowed Thursday! I was trying to take a picture, but it just looked fuzzy! LOL Nothing stayed on the ground though. Thank God! I am so not ready for snow!

Yeah for you Brandy! It closes tomorrow night, so I'll be posting results on Wednesday when I do my regular PSC posting. I'm actually doing the post tonight and it will post tomorrow at the same time as the PSC Winners' blog post goes live.

Good morning Paper Bloggers. Hope everyone is out of the pathway of Sandy. If not, stay safe. Center Point Energy is sending crews up that way to help out with power outages.

My oldest DB lives up in Jersey. Praying for them and all the rest.

Popping in gals to let you know I"ll try to get a card posted but it won't be until this evening. I'm closing out a 'surprise' for someone so I can get it in the mail.

wow! Can't believe I haven't posted in a few days.

Kelly, your card turned out so beautifully.

I had no Trick or Treaters last night, but with everyone hurrying home to take care of the kiddos, I was able to go vote with no problems - only took me 10 minutes from getting in line til I left.

I'll be getting my PSC challenge winners together and get that posted in the morning. I was actually happy with the turnout on my blog. I had as many as 15 in one day and the lowest was 10 for one day.

I never got a new one posted, Maggie. LOL But thanks.

I am hoping to get back on track after Bob goes back to work on Tues... which means possibly no Mag. Mon. card again next week. I know I won't have time all weekend as my sister will be here doing Word Wars with me for our Nov. writing challenge. 50,000 words in 30 days... and I have yet to write one word

Well, I hadn't see the one of the horse before and had not commented on it, so it was new to me.

Good luck with the Word Wars and get writing!

LOL! I hear those things can get pretty expensive. Glad I don't have that habit.

CONGRATS Brandy on being the big winner on my blog hop! For those that don't know Brandy took part in the Perfect Sentiment Birthday Bog Hop and completed all 4 challenges and posted on my blog posts and on the PSC blog for each one. There were 6 other participants who did that although I had at the most one day 15 entrants.

At a saving of $120/month not only will you save way more than enough for Scrap Fest but you can buy your own espresso machine and make your own coffee!

That's what DH and I do.

Also congrats on winning at Maggie's blog!

Good morning, ladies!
It's a wet, drizzly kind of day. Perfect day to hide in the basement and do some playing. But it's also Monday AND Bob's last day home.

If nothing else I'll get to blogs while he's on his FB. He bought a new laptop last week so he has something to occupy him when I'm on here hehe.

I did get downstairs this morning and get a coat of Gesso on my the new Spiritual Art Journal I'll be working on throughout the year.

Good morning Paper Bloggers!

It sure was a busy weekend and I completely lost Saturday with being gone all day at the Copic's class. I'll try to get around to blogs today.

Kelly, sounds like you need to spend a little bit of time with Bob today before he leaves.

I've started drinking some flavored water and I make my own. So far I've only done cinnamon/apple because it's quick and easy. Put a cinnamon stick in a pitcher; cut up an apple and put it in the pitcher and fill it with water and there you go. I usually try to make it at night so it can sit and the water can absorb all the juices and flavors. You can refill the pitcher a few times using the same stick and apple. I can do usually 4 times and then have to make some new. It's good because I'm not really crazy about water and it doesn't have any additives in it so it's like drinking water.
