Ooh, a chat sounds like fun! If we want to do text-based, I've used Chatzy with reasonable success for other groups that I have been a part of, it's free and private and works pretty well

That was getting to be a problem for me. I've been making a ton of cards and not doing anything with them. I really need to get a pile together to donate to a Soldier Site or to a Ronald McDonald House for them to use. I've also started sending out more birthday cards to people I know and not just to family and close friends. I have an ulterior motive. I'd like to get my work out in circulation.

Cross stitch is something I can relate to. I have a project that I started a very long time ago that I need to finish up. I tend to get sidetracked. I used to have a schedule so that I'd do a different project every night and get things done but I got away from that and really need to get back on track. Then maybe I can get that cross stitch project finished.

Loved your card Jackie.

I totally agree with that. Not sure my new laptop has webcam and/or audio, but I can chat with the best of them.

There is a java based chat room available too. I'll check into it.

Tiny chat will work perfectly. Personally, I'd like to keep my hands free and this will allow me to talk through my mic. I'll set one up for Saturday evening from 6pm till whenever (EST). I'll put the link here Saturday afternoon.

For now, we can always set up a group on Facebook and be able to chat real time there with any of us that are online at any given time. My guess is that we all have Facebook already?

I am on FB, but I don't have a mic (although I could probably get one), but I don't really know too much about this notebook since I've only had it for about 2 weeks.

I have FB, but FB doesn't allow everyone to see what everyone else is saying, does it? Just the person you're talking directly to.

I won't be around Sat. night. I have to report from our local town festival all day. Then getting the Miss A settled down. We leave for Paducah KY to take her back on Sun. a.m early.

I've updated my blog with yesterday's and today's post all in one. I'm not sure I'll get to update the rest of the week. We only have 3 days left with the grandtoddler and I still have her new padded headboard to make - amongst the other stuff on HER to-do list LOL

I think that the way their message system works, you can send a message to the whole group and then they can each respond to the message and everyone will get the response. At least that's the way it has been working for me. Noah's mom uses FB to let everyone get updates on Noah besides using the Hospital Care pages. I see all the responses that everyone makes.

Kelly, you need to enjoy that time you have with Miss A.

I"m off to see what I can create tonight.

Yes, the messaging system works like that. Posting to their wall. But not the 'chat' window. You can see who all is on, but only the person you're talking to can see what you type. I'm not sure how this one Michelle is going to use Sat. night works. I'm interested to hear how it goes. I know in YIM it's like being in a big conference room. We can all see who is in the room and what everyone is saying at the same time.

Jackie - you are really on a roll and just cranking out all those cute, cute cards.

Michelle - Your She Art creation is fabulous. Don't give up - keep it up. I'm going to have to check out those classes one of these days. I'm about to start a techinques class for 2 weeks starting on Monday. I can't wait to get going on that one too. So much to learn and so little time.

I have had every intention of getting to stamping this week and one thing and another has interfered. Last night when I got home I wanted to take some more photos of my hummingbirds outside and the battery in my camera was dead. Wasn't happy about that since I've only had it for 3 weeks. Anyway, couldn't find the cord anywhere! Tore my house apart for hours trying to find it with no luck. Then this morning when I was leaving for work I picked up my purse and what do you think - there it was!!!!! I had taken it to the office yesterday along with my camera to upload the photos onto Facebook! Needless to say, it is plugged into the charger and being charged while I am at work. Duh! What a dunce!

Fortunately, you didn't lose it. I would be so mad at myself if I lost anything so essential.

I have a FB and MSN. My computer also installed Ventrilo and Teamspeak. However I can only type.

I won't be available this weekend. Weekdays will be better for me in the following week.

Yes, I was fortunate, but I didn't know that until this morning. I was very upset with myself last night and going crazy like a madwoman trying to find the darn thing!

HAPPY SATURDAY & kind of long post

I'm so excited to get to play tonight with you (whoever can make it)! I have a couple deadlines I need to work on during the day but this afternoon I'll be sure to post the link for our *VIRTUAL GET TOGETHER*. No worries if you can't make it this time...we'll be sure to set up more at other times. Tonight you will be able to chat via typing and/or voice and/or video. All depends on if you have a camera, mic or fingers. LOL For me personally, I love being able to voice chat and video chat. I will be hands free to create while talking and I will be able to hold up whatever I'm working on for you to see in real time and get your feedback. Why doesn't SCS have this???? Anyway...

Facebook chatting (by typing) as a group can happen any time at all. Add me to your friends list (creative_chick40@yahoo.com) and whenever you are logged into FB and someone else from our group that I'll make is on their FB account, you'll be able to use the group chat window and we can all see the conversation and participate. But you have to be on my friends list first.

Thank you to all who commented on my lack of self esteem with my Art Girls. I worry so much and I really need to just get over that and create things that make me happy. You ladies are all so talented and I feel honored to be part of this group. See you all on Facebook (after you friend me) or at tonight's get together.

Nothing to update yet. Hoping to get creative in a little bit. Don't have any errands to run today Yippee! Breakfast is done, house is clean. Gotta get the laundry started and then I should be free.

Our church is putting on a Lest We Forget concert tonight which I'm going to. I haven't gone to any of the previous ones, so thought I'd attend this one. Besides, I signed up to take cookies for the after Meet & Greet so I won't be around much tonight to chat. Michelle, thanks for setting up the FB group. I know that a couple of us said they weren't really available on the weekends.

Hope to get something new on my blog this weekend. Have a great weekend everyone and Don't Ever Forget!

Did anyone get chatting yesterday? Sorry I couldn't check in, I've been crazy busy. We have family arriving tomorrow to stay until Friday, so I'm cleaning like a madwoman! And I was also able to find someone in town with an apple tree in need of picking, so I picked a huge bin full, and today I've been busting my butt making apple jelly and applesauce! Phew. Not much time for crafting in there!

What's everyone else been up to? I'm going to see if I can take a spin through my feed reader tonight and visit everyone's blogs.

I actually was not home on Friday evening so my apologies to anyone that wanted to chat. Since my Grandpa's passing, my Nana has been having some rather difficult times. Hopefully, she is now going to be staying with my parents and I will be there with her during the day so she's not alone. Now instead of an hour ride, she's 5 minutes away. It's so hard watching loved ones grow older.

During the day while spending time with my Nana, I will be working on some fabric projects which are much easier to tote around than all my papercrafting projects and at night/early morning hours, I'll be creating with my paper. Or so this is my plan.

This weekend was just an emotional rollercoaster and my canvas is sitting on my desk with a pretty green grass and a pretty blue top. LOL That's about all that I've really had time for. Hoping for more time this week.

Samantha, I don't think anyone chatted here, but Michelle did post a group on Facebook yesterday so that we could chat on there. She and I chatted a little bit, Sonja checked in a bit afterwards. Michelle was trying to find any of us posters on FB.

I'm so sorry that your Nana is going through difficult times. It's so sweet of your parents to have her come to stay with them and also you for being there for her. Sounds like you're going to be on a regular roller coaster. Hope you get a kinda schedule figured out so you can handle all your stuff too.

I understand where you are right now, Michelle. Know we're all thinking of you. Bob leaves for Chicago tomorrow and I hope to have a couple of free evenings to hop in and chat. I'll have to check my FB account. Can't remember if I use this moniker of scrappinceocc (email account). hehe You can tell I get to FB a lot, huh? LOL

Okay, Michelle. I've left a comment on your blog about your She Art dolls and the classes 2x. and it still isn't showing up. I also love Kelly Rae Roberts' books. I want to work through her Taking Flight book. Have you done it?
