I did get a blog post up this morning regarding the hectic holiday activities. I've included lots of pics if you want to look. KellySCreativeDreams: HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I hope to work in the studio today. I want it back in order by next week so I can finish planning the organization class for the blog.

I did some shopping the last couple of trips to TN. There is a Jerry's ArtoRama a few blocks from Sue's apartment. I LOVE this store and am going to miss my periodic trips. When we took the girls home earlier this month, I discovered their $1 isle. I picked up tape runner refills 2-pack for $1 each (20 pkgs). I also bought 2 of the dispensers. These came out to be .50 a refill! When we went back this last time, they only had 4 packages left so I bought those then got 2 dispensers and 18 (all they had left) of the pre-cut square refills. I am set on adhesives for awhile

Now to get them all in a tub so I'll know where they are when I need them hehe

Okay girls.. I've been looking at the eBosser machine for over a year and thought I wanted one. My die cutting machines consist of the Cricut Create and the old platform Sizzix. Neither of which allow me to use Spellbinders or the wider dies.

I've read reviews on HSN and for the most part they are glowing reviews. The only one that really concerns me is the lack of customer service. They don't seem to reply to their emails or phone messages at all!

Your thoughts appreciated. I really need to upgrade my platform Sizzix.

I do not like to be out on the street on NYE, so I will be home snug in my bed most likely. Not sure if I'll stay up to watch the ball drop or not. I may still be in my stamp room trying to get it cleaned up and organized for the new year.

I didn't get cards sent out this year either, so last night I addressed envelopes for birthday cards and have them in order on my desk so I can work on them ahead. That's the plan anyway.
Thank you Joyce. PA has lots of beautiful historic buildings. I grew up outside Philly so I've seen lots of them. The Washington DC Temple is also beautiful.

I know! They do look so young. Emily is only 20! She'll turn 21 in February, but still seems so young, but is as old as my youngest was when she got married. We just hope they will put off having children for awhile.

Good thought to get those envelopes ready. I should do that and then put them in a pocket thing with monthly dates, so I'll know when they have to be done. Thanks for the tip.

I don't know anything about the eBosser machine. I have my Cuttlebug and a Big Shot. I'd like to get a Grand Caliber that will take the larger dies.

Quick check in...we did Christmas this morning and big dinner tonight. In between my two sister in laws and I went shopping (antique store, Michaels and a grocery store). Fun filled, food filled, crazy, busy day! Deal of the day today was ANY Christmas ribbon at Michaels was $1.00!!! I bought a lot of ribbon! My one friend loves ribbon. I actually gave her a bag of ribbon for Christmas this year. She would of be out of control at Michaels had she been with me. I made sure to stock up for her
Good to hear everyone's New Years Eve plans. Jackie.. So cool that you have your own room at your friends house. Very nice!!
I am enjoying my trip but looking forward to getting home, putting Christmas decorations away and starting the year.
I'm off to sleep.

Good morning!

Brenda it sounds like you are having a nice trip. How is DH's cold? I hope he is feeling better. Score on all that ribbon! Your friend is going to be super excited.

Kelly, sorry I have never even heard of the eBosser. So I can't help you!

I like the spellbinder's grand caliber. You can turn the cutting boards sideways! I have a cuttlebug and when it finally breaks, then I will replace it. It does what I need for now.

Thanks Nancy.
I had seen the eBosser multiple times on HSN and liked it. But after reading the reviews, not so much. The big black mark was on customer service from both eBosser company AND HSN. so not good.

I am wanting an electric option and leaning more towards the Vagabond. $100 more expensive but better to pay the extra and have excellent customer service. I know that down the road, arthritis in the fingers of my right hand could be an issue so investing in a manual really doesn't make sense.

Bob is gone, the house is really quiet. I'm spending the day purging e-mails and getting ready for the new year. So many things I want to accomplish in 2014.

I do know I've probably taken the July (San Antonio) trip off my To Do list. I really don't have $1000 to spend on a 4-day conference. I'll stick close to home this year. Next year I'm looking at the Romance Writers chapter conference in Bellvue WA in October. I can take the trip off my taxes and see my girls

DH cold is slowly improving. Unfortunately I think I am getting it I am hoping it is just allergies but not convinced. Will see how I feel in the morning. We head home tomorrow. Will be on the road by 8:45 am, drive down to the Sacramento airport and off we go. Changing planes in Vegas again. Long day ahead of us. We land in Tucson around 8 pm. Though I am looking forward to getting home, one more day here would of been wonderful.

We saw several deer tonight. They were hanging out in my mother in laws backyard. All were beautiful! They came by at dusk. Amazing how close they come to her deck and back window.

Maggie, thought of you this weekend as my mother in law has out door cats also. With all of us here making noise (16 of us most of the time) her one cat, Angel, never came by to eat. Once everyone left (except us) today Angel came and ate like a little pig. LOL my mother in law was very relieved to see her.

Happy New Year everyone! I will see you back here in 2014! Woo-Hoo!!!

Happy New Year!

Have a good trip back home Brenda. It sounds like you had a good visit with your MIL and DH's side of the family. Sorry he had to share with you. I hope you can get over the cold quickly.

We have deer come into our yard all the time. We had a fawn living in our backyard until it was big enough to leave with it's mom. So cute!

Glad that DH is getting better, but I hope he didn't give his cold to you. Nasty this time of the year. Mine is pretty much gone. Have a safe journey back.

My DD is in Vegas right now visiting one of her BIL's that just moved out there. I think they leave either late today or tomorrow.

Speaking of Tucson, do you know any of the "Fine" family in Arizona? I know it's a big place. That's where my DGD's DH is from. I met his Grandmother on his father's side at the wedding and chatted with her quite a bit. They live in Tucson, but I'm not sure what her married name is, but her first name is Laurie. I think his dad and family live in Mesa. The bride and groom are honeymooning in Flagstaff.

How funny. My Chancey who passed away early last year was like that inside. He was very antisocial and would hide whenever anyone came over. They used to tease me that he didn't really exist because no one ever saw him.

I was missing the little kitten this morning - Spooky. It's mom and sister were here so I was surprised that he wasn't with them.

Hey Maggie!

Speaking of Arizona, I saw a license plate yesterday from Arizona. My first thought was, man they must be hating life right now (it was only 5 degrees outside!). My second thought was Brenda! LOL

2000 mg of Vitamin C 2x per day will help knock it out. This suggested by a physician to a guy who works as a prison guard and around germs all the time.

Happy New Year, everyone!

Planning on spending the whole afternoon cleaning the studio. Got inspired for a new art journal yesterday and want to start on it asap.

We are to be in the low 50s today so I need to do a couple things outside first.

I've posted on my blog and although I know my beliefs are different from the rest of you, I do have a Word of Intention post on my cauldron blog. The Cauldron Cafe: WORD OF INTENT - Focus

I left love on everyone's blog this morning if you've posted in the past month.

Looking forward to an awesome 2014!
