nah . hate cabin fever. like the old lady with the curlers in her hair in the 7 eleven , Only its not just the 7 eleven LOL

we get yucky weather usually late jan early feb . mostly ice . good excuse to skip work . I can drive on it but why if they dont make me ?much safer that way . plus I dont have to get out in it . i know thats not specific but it can very . one year I bought one of those walls outfits, you know the one that you could wear in a blizzard for xmas . came in right handy the next year . seemed like it snowed a bunch that year . I had to wear it to take the dog out . we lived in an apartment then

Ice is not good. So you can get down to at least freezing if you get ice. I've never been to Texas and its a big state so I don't know the climate in each area or the terrain etc.

I've never heard of flannel lined jeans, Joyce!

I buy mine at LittleMissMatched.com. I love them because they just have a big toe and then the rest of your toes together. And you get 3 in a package none of which are alike, although in the same color family.

We don't get freezing so much here in South Texas and it only snows about every 10 years. It is a big state and a lot of weather difference wherever you might be.

DH calls those Japanese socks, when the big toe is separate from the other toes. So I'm guessing they sell mismatched socks? So do you buy two pkg so you an even number? Or do they assume you will lose one in the wash?

The idea is that they are mismatched. If you buy a set of 3 they are made using the same color combo, but look different. No, you don't have to buy more than 1 package. You just mix and match them however you want. If you buy 2 packs of the same style, then you can have 3 pairs of socks that are the same, but then they wouldn't be "mismatched."

Do any of you use Photo Shop Elements? I'm trying to remove the gray/white checkered background from around a digital image and have no idea how that works.

I have an older version and I don't use it very much and I can't remember off hand how to remove that. How did you save it? For some reason I am thinking that is transparent and won't show up if you open it in another application.

Did you try googling it?

Ok Gals, I am packed and ready to roll! Actually I am still waiting for the glitter to dry on the snowflakes I plan to make into tags at SF. SO HAPPY I have decided what to do at the crop. I will be working on the Christmas tag swap I am signed up to do. I have fall and Halloween on my mind but the sensible thing was to bring the swap stuff as it has to be mailed by Sept. 30. Other than that and a small list of last minute items I am READY! Can we go tomorrow????? LOL I will check back here this week but will email you all closer the time. I can't wait! Oh, good to know about the weather....I may need a second pair of long pants. For shoes, I will be in tennis shoes (or known as sneakers to some). I am a sock and sneaker kind of gal. LOL

yep nancy is right . it is transparent. the jpeg format does not support transparency so if you save it as a .jpg that should fix it for you . either way it won't print .

Good morning!

Whatever I wear in the plane Thursday, I'm wearing back on Sunday. I only wear tennis shoes if I'm going walking for exercise!

I need new sandals. The ones I was wearing all summer the last 3 or 4 yrs finally got holes in them!

Keep in mind that except for going to and from, you're going to be in a climate controlled environment so the temperatures shouldn't matter too much.

I tried every which way to make it disappear, but it's still there. Everyone says it's transparent, but I can always see it. I'm going to try to put it on my blog tonight and see if it's still there once I have it on the blog. This is a blog badge, but usually when I get a png image, I ask for them to send it to my in a jpg file and then it's okay.

I did try googling, but it's hard to know exactly what to say to get the answer that I'm looking for.

Afternoon ladies. My but don't y'all sound excited as a hive full of bees in spring! I'm so excited for all of you.

I'm trying to figure out my packing as well. I leave Friday morning for 3 days to a writers conference. The conference is only Saturday all day but I'm going in on Friday and coming home on Sunday. Taking advantage of some 'alone' time to prep another manuscript for competition. Won't get the time while MIL is here and the contest opens up on the 28th.

The packing is in my head.. just not tangible.

Me either! I did get my big suitcase out and I may just need to bring that one and then a carry one that can hold my workshop supplies.

I tried saving it as a .jpg and I can still see that gray/white checkerboard background. I'm going to try to mess with it again tonight. When I open it in PSE, it only shows it has one layer so I can't get rid of that background layer.

I usually do that too. I hate to wear tennis shoes on the plane because you have to take them off to get through security. Besides my flip flops that I'm wearing, I'm going to bring my walking shoes - I have a pair of GoWalk shoes by Skechers. They're really light weight.

Yes, except I figure they'll have the temp turned down since there will be so many people in the mall. At least we'll probably need a sweater or a light jacket type thing. I have a fleece hoodie that I wear a lot that I'm going to bring.

I'll look at it again when I get home tonight.

We're really getting a downpour here right now. I'm pretty sure I heard the weather girl say that we weren't going to be getting anything from the tropical storm that is heading toward Mexico.

Maggie, that checker board pattern will show up in photoshop but if the file is inserted into a document like MS Word, then it doesn't show up. I'm not sure about blogger though. I would think it wouldn't.

Hey Kelly, I got the package today. I'm not going to open mine yet. I'll wait until we're all together at Scrap Fest.

Kelly you crack me up. We are like a hive of bees in the spring. LOL

Nancy.... I think I am all about tennis shoes because I like the sock factor. LOL I am going to two weddings in Nov. My daughter told me to remember that tennis shoes or converse were not appropriate for a wedding. LOL I told her that I realized that.

Have a good night everyone! Is Vikki Jo meeting up with us?

Brandy, your too funny!

Brenda, tennis shoes just don't fit me very well. They usually hurt the top of my foot.

I have a headache.

Nancy, I'm with you. I only wear tennis shoes to work out. Of ourselves I do like my yoga pants around the house most days.

Its 43 here this morning, I'm freezing.

I have a bad habit of wearing fleece yoga pants or sweat pants during the winter. It's so much easier to throw them on and get kids ready in the wee hours of the morning!

It's 53 right now. I don't know what the temp was 6:30 when DD got on the bus.

I'm not ready for summer to be over.

Just tennis shoes! It's hard to find a pair that I can tie and they aren't tight on the top of my foot. It's just the left foot.

What were you doing up at 1:50am?
