I finally got the list on my blog and got my google reader all updated. I even organized it so I can give the group priority since I have other blogs on my reader too. But I get so far behind it's easier if I have them separate. So now I'm off to bed and will try to blog surf tomorrow. It's been a heck of a week.

Hi guys - I am a total newbie to google reader... was wondering how do you organize our scs blog group as a separate group in the reader? i am a little scared to try google reader - but totally want to try it because everyone says it makes everything easy... thanks guys!

Go to google reader and at the bottom click on 'manage subscriptions'. Find one of the blogs on the scs list and click on add to a folder and choose new folder. Give the folder a name. Now when you go to the other blogs on the group and click on add to folder, your new folder will show up in the list. After you add them all, go back to google reader and you'll see that under subscriptions there's a separate folder for the blog group.

My gripe right now with google reader is that I can't remove any blogs from my list. When I do it removes them but when I go back later, they're back on the list.

eta: if you use the next button in google reader (I do) you can also set that up so that you have separate next buttons for each folder. Go to manage subscriptions, goodies, and scroll down to where it says "You can also create a next bookmark for a specific tag". Choose the folder and then drag the next button link to your toolbar.

Hello Everyone,
I am sorry I have not been very active. My MIL passed away this week. Please forgive me if I do not post or don't make it to everyone's blog for the next week or so. My DH and I are trying to get everything handled and my FIL taken care of. Thank you all for your understanding.

Traci, sorry about your loss. How is your husband doing? I'll keep you both in my thoughts and prayers, as well as your father in law. I'm sure this is very hard on him.

Louise, sounds like a great challenge. I will give it a try.

Just in case I have missed anyone I wanted to say welcome to the group to all the new ladies that have joined us and welcome back to everyone from the original group that stayed. I love this blog group and have been trying to do better about posting and visiting. I go through spells when I get things done very timely and then I slack for a while. It has been crazy here lately since Jessica and her boys moved in. I have 11 people in living in my house and all of them depend on me for food, shelter, and love. Somedays it is a little overwhelming, but I love it and love having them all here. That said, they are sucking up my creative, scrappy, card making time, lol.

Well, it is getting late so I better go. I really planned to go down to my scrapbook room and get something creative done. Not sure if I will make it or not.

I would like to say THANK YOU to everyone who suggested MEMENTO BLACK INK for coloring with copics. It truely is the best ever! guess what?! I even had my fiance color with me. I stamped him the Noble Deer set and let him take it away. He did quite well and the best part is he really likes the copics - i think even enought to justify buying them

Good for him! That's quite an accomplishment getting him to color! You couldn't get my dh anywhere near them!

Hello! If you look at the upper right hand side of the web page there is an envelope next to your username. Click on that and the message window should pop up for you. Hope that helps!

I just wanted to take a minute to thank everyone for the very warm welcome! I am excited to be a part of the group and to get to know each of you. I haven't updated my blog yet this week after coming back from vacation but am hoping to get it done today or tomorrow. I will start working now to add each of you to my sidebar.

I thought since I'm new to the group that I'd let you know a little bit about me. I have been scrapbooking in one form or another for more than 20 years. Although I must say, my early scrapbooks from my teen years bear no resemblance whatsoever to my scrapbooks today. LOL I have been making cards and altered items for almost 4 years now. I was a consultant for CTMH for 3 1/2 years, and recently left them to do some freelance work on my own. I will be teaching technique classes and workshops in my home. I am excited about not having to worry about pushing products from any one particular company and being exclusive, because honestly, I love them all!

I have been married to my DH for 9 years now. It is my 2nd marriage, but his 1st. He is the best dad ever. He took on a package deal that included 4 kids when he married me! It seems like our kids are growing up so fast! Alex is 17 and a senior in high school. Allison is 16 and a junior in h.s. Kirstyn is 13 and in the 7th grade. Emily is 11 and in the 6th grade.

In addition to papercrafting, I love to cook, read, play cards & board games (especially European board games), crochet, knit, and do basic sewing projects. We don't have cable tv so I won't be able to join in discussions about what's currently on tv, but our Netflix subscription is well used. We like to watch movies together in our downtime, as well as tv shows on dvd. JAG is one of our favorites.

For those of you who like to read, I'd love to hear about your favorite books/authors. I love to read historical fiction - probably because I'm a history major. I've been reading more non-fiction this summer in an attempt to learn more. Right now I am reading John Adams by David McCullough. It's a very good read. Really fascinating. I also love to read mysteries. My biggest challenge is finding books that are "clean". I hate picking a book up from the library that looks totally interesting only to find it filled with bad language.

Well enough of my ramblings. I'm looking forward to visiting your blogs, chatting with you, and getting to know you. I hope everyone has a fabulous weekend!

Welcome Jenn! I have added you to my sidebar and will be doing my rounds either tonight before I finally crawl into bed or tomorrow. I have spent the last couple of hours wrestling with a new firewall and finally gave up and closed the dang thing.

Welcome Jenn! Thank you everyone for your kind words and thoughts for my family and I. We are starting to settle back into our normal routine and I hope to get to everyone's blogs and even post sometime this week. Thank you for your patience and I am really sorry I haven't had a chance to check out everyone's lovely blogs.

Sometimes, computers just drive me nuts! Firewalls I think are the worst to deal with. DH is a computer programmer, so I just insist he fix it before I throw it out the window if there is a problem. LOL

I've finally added a new card to my blog and with the kids going back to school on Monday I should be a LOT better about posting. I hope everyone has a fabulous weekend!

hello ladies. sorry i haven't been around much. students are back at school and that has kept me really busy (that and DT work). I wasn't able to do our challenge this (just not enough hours in the day). I'm sorry, but I have been reading the blogs and commenting when I get the time to. Once the routine of school gets back I should be able to be more active again

i just want to share my totally exciting news with you all.....
I made it onto a Design Team!!!! Yay. After ages of trying and getting NOWHERE (not even guest DT spots) I have finally nailed one. It is for Doodle Beans and you can find the link on my blog. You will have to excuse the shockingly bad pic on the site of me, Connor took it so I guess it isn't too bad for a 3 and 3 quarter yr old.

Ok. A slight problem for me and any other SU demos. If you are a demo, you know the changes that are taking place with our IDA's, and this blog group violates portions of the new agreement demo's must sign. It's not a bad change, but one that I must consider. I can no longer in ANY way promote any other co, (not that I do now, and never would), however that rule applies to any other BLOGS that we link from our BLOGS. Many of you are on DT's and have blinkies for other companies (non-SU), and that is prohibited for me. Naturally I do not want to leave this group. SU is my heart, the quality speaks for itself, I do not have to talk about it, if you use it you know the difference. My demoship is important to me, I run a successful SU business, and don't want to jeopardize that. I know we link all the members in our sidebar... If I were unable to have you all linked there, would that be a problem for anyone??? If I followed you and updated without your blog link being visible on my site. I would still have something saying 'Proud member of the Inky 'Ones'', or something like that. Let me know your thoughts. If necessary, I will remove myself from the group, I am sure a replacement wouldn't be hard to find for this great group of inspiration! I would appreciate your feedback, and opinions. If anyone has a problem with it, I will step back, I am not looking to divide the group in any way at all. This group is special to me, I love it, and no matter what is going on, I do my best to keep up with all of you! Let me know. I must sign my new IDA, and going forward after signing it, the new rules go into effect!

What is that all about? I guess I should go read the updates. Is it only if you promote SU on your blog? I'm a hobby demo and I have a catalog link on my blog but I don't really promote SU so I would be fine (for myself) taking the catalog links off. I don't have a DBWS or anything.

OK I just read it. This is freakin' crazy. SU is totally infringing on our rights here. We can't even have a personal family blog and link to another blog that *may or may not* have links to another company's site? That is bullcrap.
