Good Evening - some wonderful *~*~* Musical *~*~* news to share -- dd14 auditioned for High School last night and we just got her scores - PERFECT 100%!

The director was so impressed with her sight reading and music theory composition and said he rarely sees scores like hers - so proud of her! Now she did have to sing as well and she says she felt it went well. This is the same high school as dd18 and dd16 are in BUT, like them, you have to audition to get in and they no longer take you through the sibling status - it's all YOU!

We'll be on pins and needles til the letters come out in mid-march to see she's accepted .... which would be wonderful, should God so richly bless us!

xoxo

WOO HOO!!! That's awesome news, Kelly! I'm sure she'll get an acceptance letter. They'd be foolish not to accept someone with a 100%!

Good Morning and Blessings to all!

What's the fastest thing on earth? Bullet? Nah… Sound? Not quite. Light? Almost.
Answer: Prayer. Because it reaches Heaven even before you can say it

Good morning, friends! Hope you had a happy Valentine's Day! My sweetheart was in NYC, and didn't get home until 1am. So I took my other Valentine, my little guy Sam, out to dinner at Chick-Fil-A. It was fun! They had a craft station for the kids, pink and red balloons, and a flutist to serenade the diners with Disney love songs. Extra fancy! (I also let Sam pick out a new Skylanders Giant...he was happy!).

Kelly, sounds like you have a talented family. Are you the Osmonds? Get those kids a contract and put 'em on tour!

Carolina, I'm so sorry to hear that you won't be around. Can't we convince you to stay? I understand that life gets in the way, and I'm thinking that you may be still wrestling with the prospect of relocation. Please, send me a PM! Been there, done that, doin' it again! I completely understand!

My dh will start at his new position in mid March, which means he'll be in temporary housing during the week, coming home on weekends. We'll be fitting in some house hunting trips over the next few weeks as well. It will be a crazy time for us...oldest son graduates from college in May, but he still has to finish and internship that will take him until the end of July. Not sure where he'll be living yet. He may choose to stay in Indiana. It hurts! But I know that he's an adult now, and I want him to live his life as God leads him.

Overall, this move still feels like a very positive thing, and God seems to be opening doors and making this transition smooth. I'm upbeat and optimistic. It will be a new adventure for us!

Feb. 15th already! Spring is coming!

Good morning, sweet ladies! I have to apologize...I have been very negligent with visiting blogs! But I'm going to take the time today to give you all some love. Your creations always inspire me to get crafty!

I decided to start another blog this weekend. I'm blogging about our corporate relocation and moving in general. I figure it's going to be quite a process for the next year, so I should have plenty to blog about! Carolina, if you're reading this, I thought of you when I started this blog! You can see it here:

This End Up: Relocation

Sun is shining today, and that always makes me happy! Blessings on your weekend, friends!

It is Sunday night and I had a fun weekend. Friday night was Euchre night with our church group. It was at our Pastor's House and there were 20 in attendance--Good Time! Then on Saturday night we went to a friend's house for game night. There were 10 of us and we played 3 or 4 different games--good fun, good food and some good laughs! And today-after church--we went to Splash Bar in downtown Milwaukee. It is a place where you paint your picture along with instruction from an artist and hope to have a result on yoru canvas similar to hers. We went with a couple of friends and then out for pizza afterward. The "bar" part of the title made it a bit more fun as I sure am not very artistic!

I hope you too had a fun weekend!

Good Morning!

I hope everyone had a great weekend. We had a surprise Saturday night with snow! It all melted away by Sunday morning and then our temps dipped in to the twenties - brrrrr! I've left some blog love and hope everyone has a blessed week!

Good Morning, lovelies!

YAY for snow! We, too, have the most delicious cold weather - it was in the low 60's yesterday and 50* something last night - woot! I wanted to sleep with the windows open but dh said absolutely NOT!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Mine was staying close to home and off the computer as my niece has been a bit tough lately. She's really struggling with a lot of issues, mostly missing her mom, I think .. and we just try to comfort/entertain her as best we can but wow, can we say High Maintenance! I am afraid to take my eyes off of her!

Got a wee bit crafty yesterday so this week ahead I'll be able to post a few DT requirements but wow, I'm spending more time looking through boxes and scrounging what's left, lol! I am half way done with packing up - still - I had to abandon that mission temporarily due to church, volunteering and kid commitments.

Have a spectactular day & Blessings!
xoxo

It's 10 PM, and I just finished visiting all of your amazing blogs. You ladies are so talented! You inspire me!

Kelly, are you packing up the cabana to make room for a new family member? I hope and pray it's all going well for you. My parents took my brother (my mom's nephew) into our family before I was born when they had five children already...just days before Christmas. He was officially adopted quite a few years later. He is such an amazing man, and we love him w/ our whole heart.

Starting to think about the challenge this month. I don't have a scor-pal, but I'm going to make do with my bone folder and scoring blade.

Good night, everyone!

Good night, everyone!
Maryrose, we have an extra family member now and she stays with us 4-5 nights a week and every single weekend without fail My niece lives with us but just a few weeks ago started going back a few nights that she has to be at tutoring early - with 4 kids of our own, we simply can't be at 5 places at the same time. Although she has autism, she is highly functioning and we've taken over her care indefinitely but she is able to stay with my BIL a couple nights.

HOWEVER, lol ....... that's not the reason I'm packing - I'm just sort of downsizing and have this enormous Cabana and started to feel really out of sorts with a space that huge. My dh converted our garage to a room for me He's such a blessing and I do soooo appreciate it - it truly looks like a store in there and I just couldn't deal with such a large space for me while the kids really need a place to 'hang' - hence, the rec room idea. I'll leave the treadmill out there but the rest I'm boxing up. THey are actually fighting it tooth and nail and insist they don't want it or need it but well .... mommy always wins, LOL!!! (kidding!)

I have the BIGGEST headache!!!! I have spent over 30 minutes sobbing, that truly heart wrenching cry that leaves you with such an ache and a throbbing head. My son (2nd grade) is reading John Groban's Marley - OH. MY. WORD. I refused to see the movie when it came out (the one with Jen and Owen) because I knew it would be hard for me - I cry at commercials! I am such a sap and sent my girls with their aunt to see it and now I was reminded why - the book is just as bad! We SOBBED through the last 25 pages. Now he's sleeping with Buddy (our Jack Russell) tucked under his arm, who's in hog heaven 'cuz he isn't allowed on the beds! He's got to be thinking "Woohoo! Mom's done lost her mind - but I"m not complaining!"

Night, girls -- back to the rat race of schools tomorrow, wow, sure was nice to have 3 days off of bus-driving, LOL!!

Kels, I am not sure where I missed that your niece is now living with you.....but I so admire your willingness to take her best interests to heart. I am sure that it can and will be rough, but you are doing an amazing thing and will be rewarded in many ways.

Oh, and I am with you, Marley is a no go! LOL

Oh, and I am with you, Marley is a no go! LOL
Aw, thank you sweetie! It's not easy but ANY means, that's for sure! We've had her since before Christmas and until just a couple of weeks ago, full time 24/7. Now she goes home a few nights a week because our schedules just can't fit it in. She has Asbergers but it's not so severe that she can't function. She's 16, but probably her real age is closer to 8-9. She's HIGHLY intelligent, as is usually the case, but socially and emotionally very critically lacking. Like if a ball rolls into the street, she would not hesitate to run after it w/out looking It's an eye-opening journey and we often forget how very blessed we are when you are on the inside looking out

J - safe travels, friend! I just got word that I"m scheduled for a choral trip in April (and on my husband's 50th bday - NOT!) and one in April also for Federation-State level competetion - NOT, again! And in May a 4 day trip which dh has graciously volunteered to go in my place - woot! I can only handle so much of these choral trips, lol.

Hugs, ya'll!

Just a gentle reminder: Here is the theme for our February Challenge! Tami has given us much to think over this month! She blew it for me by not letting me just fold my card in half, ROFL!!!!!! *wink!

February Challenge

Hostess: Tami

I have a crafting tool that I just had to have and have hardly used. Does that sound remotely familiar?! I think you all may have the same tool in your arsenal. I would like you to drag out your scoring tool. Scor-Pal mini, biggie, Martha mini, biggie or if you do not have one of those, I am sure that you may have a scoring blade on your paper cutter. SCORE!!! It would be fun to see how you all incorporate scoring onto your card. You know I am into 'use what'cha got', so if you do not have a scoring tool of any sort, please create without this element. Oh and I do not mean just a score to fold your cardbase in half! LOL

While it is a 'lovely' month February, let's create a card that is not Valentine's themed. That being said, it is the second part of this challenge. Let's not use Valentine theme, red, pink or white colors anywhere on our cards. That includes the paper you stamp your image on....*gasp*!

For our third element, how about we place both an image and a sentiment on the front of the card.

Well, that ought to keep us busy {now what am I going to do?! LOL} I am looking forward to seeing your projects. I get the best ideas from you girls.

JCI....my 100 seed cards are done....well, ended upto be 95 because of ones I didn't like....they only needed 80, so 95 is good!
I have been thinking about Tami's challenge and think it will work with one of my husband's....he let me go to Michael's the other day, but got to pick out two things for my to craft....lol
