Splitcoaststampers.com - the world's #1 papercrafting community
You're currently viewing Splitcoaststampers as a GUEST. We pride ourselves on being great hosts, but guests have limited access to some of our incredible artwork, our lively forums and other super cool features of the site! You can join our incredible papercrafting community at NO COST. So what are you waiting for?
This thread is for the blogging group Designing D.I.V.A.S. to host challenges.
What I think would work best is...when it's your turn to host, place a title for your post above it) of the MONTH and DATE that you were assigned for (for example: Title: JULY 1st) That way, I think it will be easier to find our way to the right challenge. It will make things much easier.
I think that's it! If anyone has any other ideas or suggestions, please post them in our regular Designing D.I.V.A.S. Post thread. k? thanks!!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Here is the revised challenge hostess schedule with the new members:
*SCHEDULE IN THE WORKS*
Challenge Guidelines:
Hostess: Post Challenge on your blog on due date or a day or two before and please upload it also to the SCS gallery. In addition, the challenge should be issued by at least the first of the month or within that first week
Hostess: You can post a comment here on the forum to let the members know it is up and ready if you choose.
Members: Participation is optional. You do not have to hostess or play along, but please let us know in advance if you do not want to hostess so we know to skip the challenge that week.
Members: Post your challenge project to your personal blog to share as well as posting in the forum gallery with the keywords DIVA[month]2010 where you would include the month of your challenge without the parentheses of course. For example: DIVAFEB2010

It is my turn to host and I thought I would make it a simple challenge since we have our SS challenges going on too. Plus I like the simple things, they always seem to turn out better than I expected.
Your challenge is to do an altered item. Could be jumbo paper clip, target mailbox, recipe box, tin, anything you can imagine. The only stipulation is it has to be a holiday theme. Any holiday, I think I might go with Christmas, for some reason I am kinda feeling that real early this year. I will post some pics of mine in the next day or two. Have fun.

Here is my challenge for you! I am posting it now and will add my card probably not until tomorrow as I am working all day and then heading to a Flo Rida concert tonight with DD...
Use any purple and yellow and a neutral for your card stock. Use a flower somewhere on your card (stamp, embellishment, etc.) plus at least one other embellishment such as buttons, ribbon, brads, etc.
Have fun with it and can't wait to see whtat you create!
Good morning DIVAS, I'm so sorrry that I forgot about this. I woke up this morning, thinking "Holy Cow I forgot"! My brain has been mush this week. Too many thing going on. So the challenge for this week is:
To make a GATEFOLD card. That's it, I don't have enough brain power to make it any more exciting-sorry! Have fun, can't wait to see what you create!
Hugs,
Hi Designing Divas!! Happy July! Very often we see craft fairs and boutiques that feature things for "Christmas in July"... and that's what we are doing for our newest challenge.
Make a Christmas card or 3-D item that includes snowflakes somewhere on your item. You can have anything else that you like... but snowflakes are required! Enjoy... and I look forward to seeing what you create.

Hey Ladies...... I am a bit behind in challenges but any how here is my take for the gate folded card. Not something I normally do but found it very easy so will definitely be making more.

Good Morning Ladies! I have posted the challenge card today and hope you will visit my blog to see. I love it when friends drop by!! Have a great Monday and blessings to you!
Good morning DIVAS. I was supposed to host this challenge last week, and it totally slipped my mind. I'm so sorry! So I figured I'd give everyone the same challenge that I gave the SS group. Your challenge is to make the star ornament box that I posted on my blog. I'm having trouble getting pages to load at the moment, so I can't give you a link. But if you go to my post for Oct 1 or 2. There will be a link in there. Have fun,and I can't wait to see what you create!
Good Morning All! I have posted my tree ornament challenge today. What a fun project! Hope everyone is doing well and the flu bugs are on their way out! Blesings to you!
Hey Linda!! This is terrific - not only because it's a quick look (by the way your card is beautiful), but a great way to show the challenge if you can't get it on your blog. So, how did you do that? Inquiring minds want to know!! Thanks so much. Peggy
