I understand your being cautious about PayPal. However, the reason so many sellers ask for PayPal is due to the fact that the payment is "instant", with the exception of the PayPal "e-checks". Money transfers and credit card payments via PayPal 'instantly' pay the seller, and thus, they can quickly get on with packaging and mailing the items. No waiting on the bank, and wondering if the monies are cleared, and no waiting on the mail for the check or money order.
We recommend that sellers use a shipping method that includes delivery confirmation. That is included with Priority Flat-rate shipping, and also is included in the cost of Priority Shipping that is purchased online via 'Click-n-Ship'. Priority mailing also includes a free tracking number for the buyer and the seller.
The decisions are purely up to each individual. However, we do suggest that everyone who participates takes care to be fully informed and keep the communications open between buyer & seller at all times until the transaction is completed and products are received by the buyer.
I hope this helps in some way!
Hi,
I couldn't find the 'post' button so I am just replying to your comment. I ordered a stamp set, paid by PayPal from someone on this website, and she said she sent it priority, but I never received it. I have asked her if she went back to her PO or checked her receipt to see if they can help, but she never replied to that part. She did offer me a refund, so that is very nice. Just wandering if any of you have ever had a Priority package lost and what to do about it. I don't think that delivery confirmation comes with Priority though. But I may be wrong. Thank you for your help and insight.
Casey

I spent several hours collecting SU retired stamps for sale and compiling a list and cleaning up my craft area only to find that I no longer could locate the buy/sell/trade area of SCS. Can somebody help me and point me in the right direction? Maybe I am looking right at it but not seeing it!

I am new to this group as far as posting or writing anything. But I am a pending Stampin Up demonstrator who is going to stop selling. Can I ask if there is Stampin Up demonstrators in my area that are interested in buying what I have? I don't want to get into shipping yet. Thank you

Our Buy/Sell/Trade Guidelines prohibit anyone from selling "Current" or 'dormant' SU product.
You are welcome to offer 'retired' SU product with an asking price posted for each item.
"Current" SU product may only be traded.
If you have further questions, please send me a PM, and I'll be happy to help.

Bev, I have been selling my SU! retired sets on SCS for three years now with NO problems - and now I have one. One lady asked me if I would be willing to waive my priority flat rate and mail regular mail and give her exact shipping cost as money is tight. I did this even though I had clearly stated in my listing that everything would go priority BUT I wanted to be flexible and kind in this time of economic strain. I in good faith mailed her the set, and then gave her exact shipping amount with the cost of the set, and she still has not paid me. I have sent numerous emails, and now I am not sure what my recourse is since this has never happened to me. What would you recommend? I love SCS and I have always had great success with buying AND selling. Thanks Bev!
I sell scrapbook kits, they are two page 12 x12 format. They include everything pre-cut and complete instructions along with a photo of the completed layout to work from. Is this something I could sell here?

Thank you for asking!
No, we are not permitted to sell our own kits, designs, creations, etc. as explained in the following:

Our B/S/T forums are intended for personal craft items that we no longer need. For our crafty friends who wish to sell their creations, perhaps checking into an Etsy store would be a good avenue for you. Just a thought!

I am also having trouble finding the BST forum, even followed your link, but there are no postings in the forum. Is it really empty?

Hi there!
Open the colored link words in my previous post, then just click on the title for whichever forum you would like to see. i.e. Click on the words Buy/Sell for the items offered for sale. Click on the word Trade for those items being offered for trade. ISO = items members are hoping to find (In Search Of).
Please let me know if you have further troubles.

Why did my B/S/T thread disappear? It is no longer listed in my subscriptions.
Hi Dawn,
It looks like your thread was a "make an offer" posting. Our BST Guidelines require that we include prices for all items posted for sale. You're welcome to repost the thread with prices.

I can't find the thread where things are for sale either. I have looked at the other threads listed here, followed your directions, and am still coming up with nothing. It says at the top that I am in the "Sub Forum- Buy / Sell / Trade " but then when you scroll down 2", it says you are in the "B/S/T Tips & Guidelines" . What's up with this, as it is obviously happening quite often?
I'm sorry you're having trouble finding the Buy/Sell items. Try this path: (linked within colors) BST Forums >> Buy/Sell
Also, whenever you are viewing the SCS Forums Index, as you scroll down through the titles, at the bottom of "Stamping Stuff" you will see "Buy/Sell/Trade". Look for the "Buy/Sell' link there, for a direct path to the items for sale. Likewise, you will see a direct link to "Trade" and also "ISO".
I hope these items will help!

Did you click on twice on the words Buy/Sell/Trade at the bottom right hand corner of the Home Page??? Do you have a fire wall that is stopping you? Are your cookies on or off. Can't remember which it is, but I know that one of them can screw up a computer. Not sure this helps. Advice from a technological challenged person. That's why I don't have a cell phone. LOL

Hi Bev. I am new to the forums and have been cruising through different threads for the last few days. I have purchased some stamp sets from a couple of different members and made inquiries with others. What I have discovered, is that 2 members have shipped to Aus. before, so the process was (reasonably) painless and they are able to ship for a reasonable cost. Then there have been those that have never shipped to Aus. before, but have gone above & beyond to get shipping prices for me, and have come back with fairly high costs, even though the quantity/weight have been similar to the cheaper shipping costs Ive been given. I have appreciated their efforts, but have had to reneg on the sale. (which I hate doing).
Anyway, my question is, would it be an idea for a member, who has experience with shipping to Aus. possibly start a thread with tips on how to ship to Aus. eg: most cost effective, types of packaging used etc. Just a thought.
I have only been stamping for 18mths and love SU so as you can imagine, there is a lot of SU out there that I have never seen (except in the gallery) and don't have access to.!!

Does anyone have a link to a current rule link for having a "stamp sale"?
PLEASE, please, please email the link to my email here!
Thank you a million times!
He IS Able,
Traci S.
p.s. I couldn't get a thread started...they said I am unauthorized....I wanted to get it listed on the front page of threads!
Hi Traci!
Here's the link to the BST Guidelines! Please just PM me if you need clarification or assistance. We cannot sell current SU here, but it can be traded when listed with a Wish List.
Were you trying to post in the "Swap" forum when you received the "unauthorized" message? You do need to sign up to be a member of Swaps in order to post there.

I currently have a cricut expression that is 4 years old and I am just not using it as much as I would like to. Would be willing to sell it. Is this right forum for that?

Hi Lori,
You're welcome to post your cricut for sale along with your asking price right here in the Buy/Sell forum. Good luck!

I know we need to list only craft related items. I have a 4x6 photo printer still in perfect working condition, but I bought a larger printer (for other reasons) that came with a 4x6 photo printing tray, so I dont have a need for the other printer anymore. Since it was purchased to print photos for scrapbooking, is it considered a craft related item?
If not, I wont list it, but i wanted to check first. Thanks so much for all the work you do for splitcoast!
Our Buy/Sell/Trade forums are a place for listing true craft-related items, not including printers, cameras, etc. Thanks so much for asking first. We appreciate it!

I would like to sell some items and I keep seeing this 'bump' word. I might be having a moemnt, but what is this? I want to be able to sell and use the right wording etc?

It just "bumps" the post to the top of the list to keep it fresh so it doesn't get lost in the pages farther back.
I have current SU cardstock that I would like to trade. These would be colors that will be retiring. Is there an appropriate location on SCS to post such items? Thank you.
No longer applicable question. I have returned these items to the company.

That would probably be best in the trade forum. Don't forget your wishlist
