Default question on selling prices

I just was going through stamps and have been in Stampin Up since 2008 so have collected many. I was wanting to sell some. My question is how do you know how much to sell these for? Thanks for help.

Hi TTB!

Actually, we cannot sell the SU pads with the exclusive flip-top design at all, unless the color itself has been retired. (Examples would be Marvelous Magenta, Mint Melody, Kiwi Kiss, etc.) We cannot sell SU's reconfigured items if the color is current.

And you are correct regarding the SU ink refills. Again, only retired colors can be offered for sale at SCS.

If the pad/reinker is a retired color, we can sell it.

Thanks so much for asking!

I am trying to find the post that I made in ISO for the "Well Scripted" SU set and can't find it to delete. Does that mean it was deleted for me when I found it?

Hi TTB,

Buy/Sell/Trade/ISO threads are active for a period of 28 days per our Site Posting Rules. They are purged routinely after this period. Moderators are able to delete threads, but members are not able to do so.

Hope this helps,
~Bev

You have a few options.

* You can edit your thread and the title by using the Edit button >> Advanced. Then you could "bump" in a reply to push it back to page 1.

* Or, if the thread is near the end of its 28-day active period, just send a PM to me, and I'll delete it.

* Or, you can also use the * in the left column in the thread to "report" it & ask that it be deleted.

* Or, use the 'Advanced' edit option to change the title of your thread to "Delete please".

Any/all of these will work. A PM or a * is the quickest method for deletion.

Happy weekend!

Bev, I have a quick question for you. I have a bunch of stuff listed on my blog for sale. Can I post the link to my blog post or does everything have to be listed out here on SCS?
Thanks!

Hi Niki!

Thanks for asking first! You're welcome to copy & paste your list into a thread here ... but posting a link to any off-site list is not okay.

Bev

P.S. I apologize for being a bit tardy on this .... a bit of 'vacay' with family happening here.

Thanks for letting us know!

Just a note: We appreciate that our members try to help us keep the BST/ISO forums tidy! While authors can edit their threads in the BST/ISO forums, only moderators can remove threads. So just let us know with a note here, or a report ( * ), or a PM, or edit your thread title to read "Delete Please". Any of these will work!

I'm sorry if this has already been asked, but I went through 10 pages and didnt see it. Is there a list of retied sets that I can find? I have over 100 sets I want to sell, but haven't seen an SU catalog in 2yrs. Anyone know??

SCS does not maintain a list of retired SU items, but it's very helpful to check the Stampin' Up! website to peruse their online catalogs, including both the annual Idea Book & Catalog and the current mini-catalog.

Additionally, our Stampin' Up! galleries here at SCS are listed by set name. Many times the main title will define 'when' a set retired if you aren't finding it in the online catalog.

"bump" is merely a way of causing a thread to be bumped back to page 1 of the forum.

And yes! Your thread is now back in Buy/Sell. Thanks!

I have something for sale and have received a PM about it. I replied to the person, but my PM did not show up on my screen under hers. I thought that didn't go through, so I sent a new PM to her directly and that didn't show up either. Help please! Am I doing something wrong? How can I be sure she received my replies to her purchase request?

Thanks very much,

Chris

Hi Chris,

If you do not include a 'bcc' to yourself, or if you do not include your user name as a 'Recipient', then you will not receive a copy of the PM you have sent. However, if you've sent two PM's to a member, I would feel certain that both are in the member's inbox.

When sending a PM, you do have the option of requesting a "Read Reciept" which the reader can confirm when they read your PM. Some members feel more secure when utilizing that option.

Let me know if you need more assistance.

Hi!

Our Site Posting Rules limit each of us to having only one Buy/Sell/Trade thread at a time, and having one ISO thread at a time. BST Moderators merge multiple threads together in order to maintain the efficient integrity of our BST/ISO forums.

It might be easier for your 'readers' if you "Edit" the top post in your merged thread. Just edit the top post to include all of the items for which you are searching.

Thanks!

Hi there,

By using the "Edit" button in the lower right corner of your BST/ISO text box, just highlight & delete the items you no longer need. (Or backspace over them ... your preference.)

If you find everything before the thread is purged after 1 month, you can change the title of your thread by using the "Edit" button, followed by the "Advanced" button. This allows us to change our BST/ISO titles. Change the title to "Found" or "Delete" and a moderator will remove the thread.

Hope this helps!

I have a bunch of items I'm no longer using & just remembered that SCS has a sell section. Yay! I read through this entire thread, so I don't think this specific question has been addressed. (By the way, I am in AWE of your patience in answering the same questions multiple times!) I haven't been able to find any section that would be appropriate to upload photos of the items I'd like to sell. Is there a place to do that here and link from my gallery or do I need to put them elsewhere and link them like that?
Thanks!

Welcome!

You have a couple of options for sharing photos of your offerings in our Buy/Sell/Trade (BST) forums:
  • Use the "paperclip" icon above the text box to include photos from your computer in the thread itself. If you have more photos than auto-allowed in the post, simply "reply" to your own post and continue adding photos in the same manner.
  • Members are permitted to a link to 'photobucket' photos or other online photo gallery sites.
  • Note: Our Site Posting Rules require us to list all items being offered, along with their prices within the thread itself. So, it is not okay to say something like, "Check out my link for my amazing sale!"
Please just let me know if you have other questions. And, gee thanks for the compliment!

Default Genesis paper cutter for sale

Good morning,
I am going to sell my 12" Genesis paper cutter with edgelight and guidebar to upgrade to the 16". I would like to be able to sell it on SCS but want to make sure I am following the rules. I know there is a forum about the Genesis cutter would it be okay to mention my Genesis cutter there?
Is it okay to sell it on the Buy/sell/trade forum with out listing a price but have people contact me by PM if they are interested?
I will send pictures if anyone wants to see it I assume it is alright to mention that on the forum.
Thank you Tricia

So glad you asked!

Our Site Posting Rules require us to list a price for all items we offer to sell here at SCS.

Yes you can offer to email a photo in the listing, or you can easily add a photo directly to your post by using the paperclip icon above the text box as you create your thread.

When writing/posting in other forums, please do not offer items for sale. However, you could add a link in your siggy to your Buy/Sell post to gather more looks. Just be sure to remove it whenever your thread expires (after 28 days) or whenever you sell your cutter.

Best wishes on your sale!

You could edit the title of your thread for all to see! Here's how:
  • Click the Edit button (lower right corner of post #1 in your thread)
  • Now click the Advanced button (again, lower right corner of post #1) The advanced feature allows you to edit your thread title.
I hope this helps! If not, just let me know.

Hi Amy!

BST threads can be deleted only by BST moderators. So, here are a few different ways to have your thread deleted:
  • Edit the title of your thread to remove original text & just say 'Delete' or 'Sold'.
  • Send a PM to let me know.
  • Use the *(report) button to ask all BST mods for thread removal.
I'll go look for your thread now to remove it.

Happy Stamping!
~Bev
