I know that a lot of stampers always look in the BST section for deals..why not have a section for things like clamshell cases that people just want to give away? I'm not selling them or trading them so neither of those forums apply.....
Hi,
I'm thinking of selling some stamps and wanted to clear out the mud on a couple of things... I'm sorry if an answer to these questions have already been given - I read through most of this thread but I might have omitted it.
I've got a few SU! sets for sale, and I'm not sure whether a couple of them are retired or current. When I do the search on them on the SU! website, I get an error message.
They're "Good Neighbors" & "Definitely Decorative: Regal Rose".
Any help finding out about their status would be appreciated
Also, I know that some people do this, but I'm not sure whether it's allowed: I'd like to link up the stamps that I want to sell, to the relevant stores, for an easy reference. This way the potential buyer will be able to easily check up what the set looks like. Do I have a green light on it?
According to the SCS Gallery, the 'Good Neighbors' set was a 2010 Sellabration set, so it's good to sell. When I search the galleries and the SU website, I don't find anything listed for Def. Decorative Regal Rose. I'll call that one good to go as well unless I'm corrected later.
Also, linking to a photo of the stamp sets off-site is just fine as long as they're listed & priced here in your thread. Sounds like you're ready to get a thread ready for sales!
How do I change the title in of my original post - I forgot to add a word so that the post makes sense. Also, how do I update my original post to show that certain items are sold?
Hi there!
You should see an "Edit" button in the lower right corner of your post. By clicking that, you can edit post #1 to update/remove sold items for the easier reading by readers.
To update your thread title, click "Edit" ... then "Advanced". That enables us to edit the titles.
Do you also sell stuff to dutch people i.e. people living in the netherlands??
scrap and stamp stuff is really expensive here
I have one friend in the usa and sometimes this male is prepared to buy stuff for me
Any one to help me out, also wit trading etc.
lov ya all Christine
I have a set of all of the SU Watercolor Wonder crayons from 2009. They are broken up into Soft Subtles, Rich Regals, Bold Brights, Earth Elements, and Neutrals. The current Watercolor Wonder crayons are broken up into Subtles, Regals, Brights, Neutrals. Since the older set is a mix of retired colors and currents color, is it OK to sell them in B/S/T forum?

Great question!
No. We are not permitted to sell "reconfigured" items here at SCS. Some of the colors are current ... the names of Rich Regals, Soft Subtles, etc. are not a changing factor.
So, this same thing applies to the SU Pastels, SU Punches in the 'new' vs. 'old' style if the image is same, WWCrayons, etc.
"Trades" are fine. Just be sure to identify each item that is Trade Only and include a Wish List of items you'd consider in trade.
I've tried about a dozen times, now, to place a Photobucket link to my stamp photos in my listing, to no avail! What am I doing wrong? I keep using the "insert image" tool, then pasting in the URL for my album, but it won't work. Please help. I really want to include photos. Thanks!

No problem!
Type the word(s) to signify your photos. ex: Photos
Highlight "Photos"
Click the globe/chainlink icon above the text box
Insert the link in the box that appears. (Be sure 'http:' appears only once.0
There are two stamps from SU that I would love to have, but I'm experiencing a stamp spending freeze at the moment. LOL...husband induced. Would I be allowed to offer a trade of some Personal Stamp Exchange stamps for the Stampin Up stamps? I don't have a catalog, but from what I can tell from the info online they are current. One is "Hello Doily" and the other is "Medallion."

Yes! You can offer any brand of crafting items in trade for SU. These items will be what you offer in 'trade', while the current SU would be listed in your required "Wish List".

Bev,
Thanks so much. I wasn't sure I could ask for items that were in the current catalog.
Signed,
Beverly [another one...but, I prefer "Beverly" ]

i was wondering, I cannot see the buy/sell/trade of what people are selling buying or trading. Can you tell me what I am doing wrong? Do I need a certain amount of posts in order to view this particular forum?
Hi there, I'm from Canada and am considering selling off my SU collection of stamps. Is there a "discontinued list" out there somewhere? Also, I have never done this before and am nervous selling to the US for shipping charges etc. Do you have any advice regarding how I could do this smoothly?
Thanks so much
Jen

Hi Jen,
As far as I know, there is not a published "discontinued" list of SU products. However, the current Idea Book & Catalog, plus any current Mini Catalogs are all available for searching, browsing, etc. at Stampin' Up! . If your item(s) does not appear in the current catalogs, there's a pretty good chance that it has retired, and it's okay to sell it here. There are a few exceptions found here in our Site Posting Rules.
Unfortunately I have no advice on easy shipping cost calculations from Canada.
I need some Clarification!!! If I want to sell something that was in the 2011 holiday mini, because it is no longer orderable, does it mean it's retired. Or must I wait until the 2011/2012 IBC cattie is history?
I did check and the item in question is not on the Carry over list for the holiday 2011 cattie
Did I make myself as clear as mud? See I can't even clarify it when I type it out. haha

Items offered in mini catalogs may not be sold at SCS until the following Idea Book & Catalog is in effect. Thus, any mini catty sets from the previous months may be sold after the 2012-2013 IDB&C is in effect.

Mini catalog items from July, 2011 through June 2012 cannot be sold --- yet.
We have to wait until the 2012-2013 Idea Book & Catalog is in effect.
Just let me know if it's still muddy.
Nope! hee hee
anything sold in any cattie before July 2011 if it was not carried over to a new cattie is eligible to be sold Anything after July 2011 cannot be sold til the new cattie comes out.
I have a long list of Stamps And I just wanted to make sure before I posted them
Wanted to double check before I posted in the sell section as I haven't been on here very often the past year - I have a bunch of raw materials - chipboard coasters, silk scarves, cardboard drink holders and envelopes that I am not using because I don't do workshops anymore and it is far more than I would use in my lifetime + the fact i am loosing my craft storage area to my daughter - is it OK to put those for sale on the Sale forum

I have read through a ton of stuff and I am trying to find out if I can list more than one stamp company in one listing. (SU stamps and Gina K).
Thanks for your time.

Hi Paula,
Yes! You can list different brands within your thread. We're only permitted to have one active BST thread at a time, so list whatever brands you wish to sell or trade. Just be sure to check our Site Posting Rules for the special limitations on SU items.
Click on your name in any post and then click find other posts by chickers089.
You still might find it. I've lost threads only to find them again! LOL!
I too lost a thread, and tried this...it is no longer here. Who should we ask about this?
Thanks,
Chris

Hi Ladies!
If you are "missing" a Buy/Sell/Trade/ISO thread, and have tried searching your own subscriptions, then the odds are the thread expired and was purged as a matter of routine BST forum maintenance.
