Returned - 12 Days of Christmas ATC swap - due November 1, 2013

Twelve days of Christmas ATC swap

Due November 1, 2013

Qty: 12 + 1
You will get a complete set back.

I think these would be great to mount on a canvas and display for the holidays.

Please do all cards vertical (portrait) style.
So that there is some continuity don't use brights. Keep with traditional Christmas colors.
Do these in a distressed Tim Holtz style.
Use as many embellishments and you need to, but there should be at least one.
Use good quality cardstock and at least two layers.

PLEASE BE ON TIME, others are depending on you!

Postage, please DO NOT send cash, it is much easier for me to get these back out to you if I have the stamps to put on them. Send a few more stamps than it took to mail them in case it weighs more on the return. NO METERED stamps.

superjen 08-20-2013 11:48 AM

The style isn't one I'm comfortable with but I guess it wouldn't hurt to step outside my comfort zone. I would like geese, please.

SybilMcC 08-20-2013 11:51 AM

A Question: (of course)
Do these all need to be in one direction, like all portrait or all landscape? Just wondering if it should be all the same.............

Thats a good question, I think we should all do portrait. Good catch Sybil!

SybilMcC 08-20-2013 12:52 PM

I was thinking they would go together better if they were all in one direction, but it isn't really a big deal. I just wanted to follow any directions, and didn't see any about that.
Thanks.

Enjoy your new adventure, you will do fine.

Jabauer 08-20-2013 12:57 PM

Please take note of all cards being done portrait style.

SybilMcC 08-26-2013 07:36 PM

Working on the drummers tonight. Sponging and grunging and snipping and gluing. Lots of fun.

Jabauer 08-27-2013 04:02 AM

Spot 11 is still open ...any takers?

normat 08-27-2013 08:09 AM

Janice, if it is still open I would like to fill in 11 pipers, please.

Glad to have you join us Norma. The spot is yours

Jabauer 08-27-2013 10:55 AM

Hooray, we are full! Now let's all get inky!

SybilMcC 08-27-2013 01:12 PM

NORMA'S HERE! What a great group of swappers!

normat 08-27-2013 05:36 PM

Couldn't pass this one up. It's Christmas. Tim Holtz isn't on my list of how to's, but I'll muddle through with what I have in supplies. I love his style.

SybilMcC 08-27-2013 06:34 PM

I do the same thing, Norma. I think Tim Holtz style is just something pretty and messy and clunky. I just make what I want to and make it look old and messy and that's about it. Tonight was my second night to work on my drummers, and hopefully one more session will finish them.

Jeziboo 08-27-2013 07:07 PM

I'm going to have to study up on the "Tim Holtz" style. I've seen his products in the stores, but am not as familiar with his work. I tend to just do what comes to my mind.

SybilMcC 08-27-2013 07:12 PM

Jan said "So that there is some continuity don't use brights. Keep with traditional Christmas colors. Do these in a distressed Tim Holtz style." So I am staying with earthy colors, tearing edges, sponging and making them look "distressed". I don't have many TH products, he uses a lot of clunky metallic stuff and I am more sissified. I think as long as they are "old" looking that will be the look Jan is looking for. I like it when I get things that show the personality of the person who made them. I can almost recognize some of them without seeing the names on the back.
