***swapped & postal***I'm in the Moo'd to Art Swap due 04-15-13***

Name of Swap: Moo'd to Art Swap

Do you run into a snag sometimes wondering what to add next to make your projects complete? That certain "something" that will make your projects "pop"....what should it be?

Ask a swapper for an idea, and they usually deliver. This swap idea came from Sabrina (nsmac1) and I think it’s spectacular. I hope you do too. There are so many ways to add creativity to your artwork that we sometimes we might need a little help thinking about what to do next.

We're going to make an Art Prompt Ring to keep on hand - full of ideas that will spark our imagination and make deciding what to do next a little less challenging and a lot more fun.

Design your Moo with an art prompt. It can be a technique, an embellishment or a creative suggestion. I am posting pictures of the tags that Sabrina made for me to give you some ideas. On the front of the Moo, use the prompt creatively - on the back side, add addition suggestions.

Description: Standard Size Moo's
A “moo” is a miniature work of art that measures 1 1/8” wide by 2 3/4” long

Quantity: This will be an 5+1 swap (you will not get one of your own back)
* Please make this with at least 2 layers of good quality card stock

Requirements:
Standard size MOO is 1 1/8” wide by 2 3/4” , please use a good base cardstock and provide at least 2 layers. Minimum of 1 embellishments/techniques. I will be punching holes in the top to add them to the ring, so make the top 1/2 inch free of embellishments. ***If you sign up for two spots, please make a different set for each spot. This will help in making sure you don't get your own item back in either of your sets.***

And if you do need to back out, PLEASE let me know, and give me at least a week's notice before the swap ends so that I have time to find someone to fill your spot or do so myself.

MEEE! I love Moos! Put me down for 2 to begin, and I may do more as time goes by and I get caught up! I'm so excited.

Let me guess....One of them will say "Put an Inchie on it!" right? hee hee hee

Your my first and one of my best - adding you to the top of the list right now!

SybilMcC 01-22-2013 06:33 AM

How did you know that? You know me so well............
Thanks for the compliment. This is a good list to be on the top. Of.

Jmaraul 01-22-2013 06:37 AM

Now I wonder who else will join us......

texasyaya 01-22-2013 07:07 AM

I would like 2 spots to start with. I'll see how many people play and I may do more.

prairiejen 01-22-2013 07:21 AM

You know I am in two spots please

prairiejen 01-22-2013 07:22 AM

Do we need to tell you our idea?

Jmaraul 01-22-2013 07:37 AM

Yay - two more of my favorite swapper pals :)

Betty, I've got you in for two spots to start with and you're welcome to more if you wish. These should be quick and fun and a great little reference tool for when we need a little creative nudge.

Jen - two spots for you as well, and no you don't need to tell what you are doing unless you want to.

Do you want to? VBG

Bethyblue 01-22-2013 07:41 AM

Can I join?

texasyaya 01-22-2013 07:47 AM

I don't mind saying what I'm going to do. I'm going with emboss and "pop it up".

Is that a rhetorical question....of course you can join!

One spot or two?

Jmaraul 01-22-2013 07:50 AM

If you know what you are going to do, I will post it next to your name. If you don't know yet, that's okay too.

If you see a topic and want to do the same thing, that's also okay because there are many different interpretations to some of these categories and suggestions.

Paige 01-22-2013 07:53 AM

These are new to me, but I'll try two spots!

Hi Paige - It's always fun to try new things. Glad to have you joining us. Have fun!

SybilMcC 01-22-2013 09:08 AM

See there, Joyce.............
If you post it, they will come.

prairiejen 01-22-2013 09:25 AM

Do we have to walk through a corn field to find Joyce?

SybilMcC 01-22-2013 10:27 AM

NO, Just listen for the sound of the pink tractor.

Jmaraul 01-22-2013 10:57 AM

Ya'll know that's one of my favorite movies, right?

CandyHaz 01-22-2013 12:20 PM

Yes please ... two spots I think

I think so too :)

Adding you now - yes please!

SybilMcC 01-22-2013 12:56 PM

They'll be coming through the cornfield when they come.........
I didn't know that was one of your favorite movies but it is a good one.

CandyHaz 01-22-2013 01:05 PM

OK, I just cut a piece of cardstock 1 1/8 X 2 3/4 ... that's awfully narrow ... and the samples look wider ... just want to make sure before I start, cause I have the first one done in my head :)

prairiejen 01-22-2013 01:09 PM

Kind of like the size of a microscope slide

lakelivin 01-22-2013 01:34 PM

I'm game for something new....I'll take two spots please :)

SybilMcC 01-22-2013 01:35 PM

There's plenty of room on a Moo. I can't find a gallery with just "Moos", maybe someone else can. I can show you some I did and you can tell about how much space there is to cover.

Hopefully someone else out there can share some better ideas.

QueenOfInkland 01-22-2013 01:52 PM

Oh great idea :) May I please have one spot?

parknslide 01-22-2013 02:17 PM

I've got lots of ideas for these---I'm in for 3 spots!

Yes, the sample picture is where I got the idea, so they may appeaer a little different is size than a Moo. We are not making tags like the picture shows, but MOO's are approximately the same size as the pictured examples.

Clear as mud now, right?

If you go to the Gallery & just type Moo in the search box, lots of examples show up. There are some great ones out there.

I can't imagine why you would think that??? HMMM? You may have just given me another idea!!!

Jmaraul 01-22-2013 03:03 PM

I know. Before ya know it you'll be asking for another spot.

I have all kinds of ideas running in my head now. Little tiny spirellis....embossed metal tape....crackle.....

A tiny reference library right on my desk, put together by all my favorite artistic friends.

I tried that and couldn't get anything. I am going back over there and try again.

Jmaraul 01-22-2013 03:21 PM

Make it plural...Moos

SybilMcC 01-22-2013 03:31 PM

Hey Y'all,
I did what Joyce said and guess what? There they are. It worked. Just go to the gallery and type in Moos in the search spot.
That is why we keep her around. She knows stuff.
