Received group 9 today ... you know how sometimes you get one and you stare and stare and think and think ... and sometimes you say "OH I got the perfect touch to finish this in the mail last week" and they're finished in a snap ... these were like that, and are already packaged and ready to go next time DH crosses the border
Just go with your gut, that is the fun of these, everyone adds their own twist on things. You will do fine.
I have never worked with leather before either. This is a first and i am excited yet a bit intimindated... lol Not usually like me but i am in the presence of some crafting royality with this group!!!!!!!
Group 5 is heading home.
Group 2 is on its way to Joyce.
I have been driving 6 miles to the closest Post Office, which is not bad, but it closes at 4 and I don't get home from work till 3:30, so I do my Post Office run on Saturdays - no big deal. Well, I just found out that the corner drugstore has a satellite Post Office and it's open till 5!!!! Embarrassing because I've lived here for 30 years and did not know this, but -whoohooo - no more Post Office stress!
Got back from holidays last night. Picked up the dog today and did a ton of laundry. Think I'll try and pound out the backgrounds to my group and get them shipped off. Sorry for the delay as I was in Florida :P
Location: bluegrass country, at the end of the gravel road
I have two Groups to report about...
Group #2 is at my house right now and I am thinking about the finishing touches I need to add before I send it on it's way. This one is very challenging, but I think I know what's going to happen before you gals receive the final project - we'll see.
Group #5 - OMG...how cute is this card! I think it's now one of my favorites. I just love how this card came together - great work ladies. It's a very happy card - it makes me smile
I got my group #9 cards today too. I like to include what element each person added to the back of the card along with each person's name. Paper 73 did the background, the dress form was meiden, I did the scissors and ribbons and CandyHaz added the vellum pattern. I'll take a pic and put it in the gallery tomorrow.
I received my completed group 7 (so cute) as well as group 12 in the mail on Saturday ... sorry I've been a bit late posting ... I normally work out of my house, and this week I've been to different offices, all about a 2 hour drive away and that really messes with my crafting time
I received the completed Group 1's ATC. It's pretty! Thank you, Betty, Joyce, and Bonnie! Have any of you titled your ATC? I was thinking "Golden Memories", but I'd like to know what y'all did.
I'm glad you're alright, Deborah! I haven't heard from my aunt and uncle in Virginia yet, and my brother and his wife were going back to their home in Delaware last night, but they haven't said what conditions they found.
Sending out Group #20 in tomorrow's mail. Such a beautiful background, Candy.
I haven't seen 17 or 19 yet.
My daughter finally has power, as do about 80% of the area, but several houses on the beach and boats were destroyed. School has been out all week, and alternate polling places have been set up for Tuesday. Thanks to all the linemen who came from out of state to help,; all the public works people who cleared the roads, the police and firefighters who rescued people and kept guard, and all the neighbors, friends, and perfect strangers who were so generous with what they had, be it hot water, generators, gas, hot food, flashlights and lanterns, or just a bit of cheer. We have been so blessed.
