I had to stop to do other things, but my mind is whirling inchies inside my head. I will start back on them soon.

Oh my goodness Paulette. I don't even have time to think about technique, or muse and you already have them pieced, glued and embellished. Wow, you're hot girl.

Oh my dear, let me tell you about the chunky! lol It is my favorite size (besides inchies) to work with. A chunky is a 4x4 square, very similar to a atc but bigger and chunky embellishments are used/encouraged. Chunkys are designed to be put together in a book so the back is finished, usually less elaborate than the front and the artist puts their name on the back as you would an atc.
I enjoy the fact that you have more room for things that won't fit on a atc. I know lots of hostesses (especially atcsforall.com) that want atcs to have no bumpy embellishments-chunkys are on the other hand are as bumpy as you can get! I have some chunk on my blog.
I will more than likely do another chunky after this swap.

I am catching up on cutting out stuff for my Threads of Love ladies to sew next Friday. We meet twice a month, and during our last meeting they finished everything we had to sew. They keep me very busy. I should be back to inchieing soon.

It is a national organization, but we started the chapter at our church. We now meet in the home of one of the ladies who inherited some money and made a sewing room in her basement. We have 16 sewing machines, a big cutting table, and lots of storage space full of fabrics. We have about 40 ladies who are active.
We sew little bereavement outfits, blankets, and developmental items for the NICU at our local hospital. We also make hats and doo rags for a cancer center, and for the last 2 years we have made lots of little dresses and pants to send to Haiti with mission teams. We have been doing this for 12 years now. I am the official cutter-outer and love doing that, where the other ladies would rather sew and not cut out. It works.

Weekend plans? Been in the house all week due to our snow & frigid temps. So today I had to get out of the house. Went to the Friends of the Library book sale---paperbacks 25 to 50 cents & hardcovers are 50 cents to $1. Always a good source for inchie material. Then had lunch with a BFF & we went to the $2.50 cheap matinee. We saw Denzel in "Flight." Great movie but not recommended for anyone doing any air travel in the near future. No plans for Super Bowl Sunday---will have to see if the weatherman has any more snow in the forecast.

Your backgrounds are fab! I haven't used my reel yet, and am thrilled to see how well the microfilm images show up on an inchie.

Wow, that's so cool that about the inchie assignment! Would love to see a photo of some of them - to see what a group of art students came up with.

Default 1st Inchies

I hope I'm on the right track. I wasn't too happy with my inches, but added glitter glue, pen embellishments, glimmer mist and/or distress ink and I like them better.

Very nice inchies. Amazing how much a little glitter, faux stitching or distressing can do to add that extra sparkle or accent to your art.

Send what it takes to send them plus a couple extra stamps. I prefer stamps vs cash but I know for our Canadian/international players that is hard, so i expect cash from them. I will return to you any unused postage.
