I got the decorations off the tree this morning (please don't judge {grin}) so my reward is making a couple of inchies today (hopefully). I told myself I couldn't start another project until the tree "project" was done. Can't wait to get started on these. I bought some "goosebumps" spray and I'm itching to try it out on some inchies.

Don't feel bad about Christmas decorations. I took mine down last week and they are all sitting in a chair waiting for me to get their boxes out of the garage.

So my bday is on the 29th, and it's always my goal to take down the christmas tree by then (as its the next holiday). Last year, I took it down in july...
I figure, as long as its not july, you're still good.

Raising my hand in guilt as my tree stands still fully decorated and(gulp) lights on. Shame on me...

It is usually at a local store. I see you are Fridley so maple grove archivers should have it.

I typically buy Graphic 45 online. Seems like you can get the best selections on the net vs a store.

100 little inchies to cut, 100 inchie backings to cut. Anyone know where I can buy the inchie backings in a bag. I'm getting lazy in my older years.

You can buy them here: Inchie Squares, White
but they're not cheap $7 for 72 plus shipping

Norma -- I was going to suggest the same place Paulette did, but if shipping is too high you may try Scrapbook.com. Don't know if their shipping is more or less than Ellen's store, but I've ordered from them before and they are pretty quick. They have Bazzill 1-inch chipboard squares, 50 for $2.50 but they are gray so you may not want to stamp directly on them. Here's the link:

Bazzill Basics - Bazzill Chips - Squares - 1 inch

Hope that helps!!

Prairie Jen, you *are* a kind and generous soul!

Alas, my American sisters, you are lucky that Ellen Hutson doesn't charge 20$ for shipping within your country.

Pearl, you can use cereal boxes for the backings. Then use cardstock for both the front and back.

Your best bet is to invest in a one inch punch. Then you invest in a 7/8 punch. then you start saving all those bits of cardstock and designer paper...

Pearl, I did a brief writeup on how to start inchies. You may find it useful.

When I order stamps from the post office, they package them with wonderful heavy cardstock. It is white. I use my cutting board that has a blade to cut it into 1 inch squares. But I also use cereal boxes, chipboard, and have been known to use a shoe box that had a map printed on the cover that was a perfect background. The 1 inch punch works on lighter stuff, but I always use at least two layers of anything a punch will punch. They really do need to be sturdy, and they really do need a good glue to hold the embellishments on. Those are the basic rules I go by.

Jen I love your generosity and all the ideas everyone has. Thank you. If it comes down to it, I will use my cereal boxes for backing. Like I said I was being lazy and also trying to keep the work process out of my hands, which this winter seems to have the arthritis flared up in the joints. But I won't give in, so Jen move over and we'll have a cutting bee. You ladies are the greatest.

I use the double sided tape all the time, Jen. I haven't had any problems with detachment of items from my cards. I use the skinnier tape, but one inch would work well too for these.

Ugh I don't know, have a few other swaps I have to get my butt in gear and work on. I'll stalk for now, see what I get done on my other swaps then we'll see.
