Agreed! I kept having mental images of inchies strewn throughout a USPS facility and eventually just thrown away. I'll feel so relived when they get delivered!!

I keep mine in notebooks in the sleeves you buy to keep coins in. There are 30 to a page, and they work perfectly for inchies. I also keep my ATCs and twinchies etc. in notebooks with the sleeves you buy to hold baseball cards. They are nice and neat together and I can thumb through any time. I don't have any out where they can be seen all the time, there are just too many of them.

Mahalo for the ideas. I am thinking of displaying the most current swap, putting out seasonal ones as appropriate and then using storage!

I like this idea! I think I'll do this with my ATC's too! I was going to put them all in a big frame (about 32 x 40), but it wasn't big enough for the ones I already have! I've got tons of those baseball card protectors from my attempt at extreme couponing. Turns out I'm not into dumpster diving, newspaper hoarding, or stocking up on stuff that we don't really need. Not knocking those that are successful at it, it just turned out to be more trouble than it was worth. And since I have hoarding tendencies, I would buy things just because they were free, or because I made a profit on them. I still have a ridiculous stash of shaving cream that I don't think we will see the end of, ever. LOL!

I "sort of" extreme coupon... you gotta be disciplined with it or it can become a run away train!!

I was a mess. No discipline at all. I'd just hoard coupons from wherever. I did okay in the beginning, but as soon as I started getting really good deals and seeing the savings, I was OUTTA CONTROL! lol! Then, I started having more coupons and sale papers than I had time to actually sit down, go through and match up properly for sales. I admit, it was good when I did it correctly and with control, but once I lost my noggin' and started buying cat food for the *cat we don't have*, "the dude" intervened and I scaled waaaay back. I still love to coupon and I do it regularly! I just stick to our normal grocery lists and try to shop with the sales. Every now and then, I catch a good sale and I'll get some coupons from a clipping service to stock up on things we use often.

My favorite is walgreens/cvs. I get some excellent deals there. I also will do BIG shopping trips at Schnucks when they have triple coupons...I have used the clipping services for things like coffee. It sucks to pay full price for something you always get on sale!

My sister used to do her Christmas shopping with coupons. Anything the got free or very cheap, she put in boxes, and gave them for Christmas. We got weird things. Artificial ketchup, sausage rolls, packages of gum, and some things we didn't even know what were. I had a chat with her. I love her but..........
She is much better about it now.

ROFL!!!

Dena, every now and then I catch a good Walgreens or CVS sale. I'm bad at not letting my CVS ExtraCare Bucks expire. I racked up on candy and drinks during the holidays and let a whole bunch expire in January I'm now getting the hang of Walgreen's new Balance rewards and I think I like it. Triple coupons?! No way!! That's awesome. I totally agree about paying full price for things that you're used to getting for free or cheap! I try to save as often as possible and I'm doing a bunch of different programs like Swagbucks to earn Amazon gift cards. Everyone's Christmas gifts came from Amazon last year, and no one got gum or sausage rolls (though I do love summer sausage!), ROFL!

LOL! You should have saved it all and given it back to her the next year! Artificial ketchup must have a really long shelf life! We used to do that with a rooster clock on my husband's side of the family. Not sure where it it now, though.

Another way to display inchies is to put them in a bowl and have them on the coffee table like a bowl of candy. Makes a great conversation piece when friends come over. I have most of my twinchies and ATCs in the trading cards albums. You can see the inchie box I made for Dena in my gallery. I also have pics there of the trading card album I made for Joyce for the Downtown Abbey ATC swap. I used to make everything I did in duplicate si I'd always have a copy. But i'm over that now unless I'm making more than one of a kind. My latest thing is to take my photos of the stuff I make and wait 'til Shutterfly sends me a free book coupon and then I publish my art in my very own art portfolio book.

Loving those ideas, Paulette. Those photo albums sound like a great idea, i'll have to pay attention to those emails I get so often. I usually do order tons of prints of family and events and such, but the thought or organizing a photo book for those had me frazzled. I do like having a "portfolio" of all of my craft and swap endeavors, though! Your altered album and inchie box are amazing!!

I don't know how I missed the Downton Abbey box, Paulette, but I checked it out and it is lovely. You do such crafty things!

I will start tomorrow with trips to the PO. I always start with our Canadian friends since it takes them longer to get their mail. It was a really nice swap, ladies. You will notice when you get your inchies back there were several folks that didn't put their names on the back. If you want to know who made it maybe post a picture?
PLEASE post when you get your inchies.
Hope you all enjoyed!!

It's always so much fun to get those sweet little inchies. I'm thinking of making another wall hanging with mine. Thanks to everyone who worked so hard to make their perfect little pieces of art. Perfectly cut or punched, designs and images all carefully chosen, beautifully embellished, and glued to last a lifetime. Most of all, thanks Beanie for all the work involved in getting them sorted and returned to us, you're a doll!

I bought a gorgeous antique box from the goodwill for $3 yesterday. I'm dedicating it to be an inchie box because I loved that idea.

Beautifully said and I couldn't agree more!

Thank you so much for waiting on my wayward inchies, too. I can honestly say that if I hadn't seen your post that they had arrived in Champaign, I would have just assumed they were gone! I was already going through the grieving process. Lol.

and when they showed up and I saw all the extra work you did, I would have cried if they had been lost forever. The backgrounds...what did you make them out of? I especially loved the winter scene.

Aww, thank you! The background of the winter scene is lots of layers. Lol. There's pearl acrylic paint, glass bead gel, sparkle mod podge, snow flake die cuts, and a little bit of heat embossing. I'll share more info when I get back home tomorrow. They were all so much fun to make and I tried a few new techniques that I'd love to share!
