It does make sense. Sometimes I start with an idea, and it doesn't work for something that small, and something else fits better, and then the color has to change, and when I finish it is altogether different. They tell me what they want to do.
When I made the one of Watson, Joyce's little puppy, he just morphed into sitting in a basket, and I had to make his feet bigger, and it was the strangest thing. The only thing that stayed the same was his little head. So funny.

I was finished, but I found a cute stamp set that found it's way into my shopping cart. I'm going to make some more, different ones and keep some of the one I have finished, because I made them in sets of 4. I individually bagged mine in 1 1/2 x 2 bags, then into a large bag.

Popping in to say I'm slowly getting there. Just realized these have to be mailed soon. Yikes - where did the time go? It's so easy to get distracted with other projects... but I will hunker down and get these done!

Egads! I ran out of sticky labels, so I have 100 little pieces of paper to glue to the backs of my inchies. That's almost worse than two layers of cardstock. LOL. Back to work, snip, snip, stick, stick. Getting there. Hope to have these ready for mailing by Thursday.

I laughed at that, Norma. After I finished my inchies I was thinking "Boy if I could just put them in a bag like this............." but I remembered how much I enjoy looking on the backs to see who made the ones that come back to me. Luckily I found a big box of labels at.......you guessed it , a yard sale, so I have enough to last for a long long time.

Well all good intentions were waylaid by a nap in my chair. It is raining to beat the band today and one of those snuggly blanket kind of days. So now along with lunch ( where did the morning go again? LOL) I will attempt my sticky label project this afternoon.
I could have sworn I had labels somewhere.

Just to let you know, I am going through a health situation just now, so I am one sleepy person with no energy and sometimes no inkling to do anything. Found out that my diabetes has progressed to insulin taking. My body has shut down the insulin factory so my levels have gone haywire. I saw a diabetic doctor yesterday and found out some of the most interesting facts and figures of how the body works and why. Never knew anything of this before, except take your meds, Norma. It was fascinating and I am so glad I acted on my instincts to see the doctor quickly when I realised that I couldn't control my sugars. He figures it will take a few months for my body to settle down but that we will find the correct solution for me. I have had a multitude of tests since Christmas, and fortunately, everything is as it should be, with little damage from the diabetes itself. So a new lifestyle routine, to settle this down is my goal with his help.
And I don't have to beat myself up for doing the wrong things, as he said it is my genetic makeup and nothing I could have done to prevent it. It's some consolation I guess.

I need to check into that too, Norma. My sugar levels have been really doing crazy things too, and I just thought it was because I couldn't walk much with my foot hurting like it does. All the doctors say is "take your meds" and "Don't eat so much" and "LOSE WEIGHT". Right? and they don't say how to do any of it. I have to go to my doctor this month. He said 6 months ago my A1C was up 8 points and to "Really watch it and we will check again in 6 months". I know it is hereditary, my mom, brother and sister all had it. I hope you will be able to get a handle on it, Norma, and feel better soon.

Oh, ladies, I am SO in the same boat as you guys. I for years and years was able to control my sugars with oral meds (except when I was a kid and pregnant) but now it's insulin and they are so hard to control. My last 2 A1C's have sucked bad...10. I hate it. I jumped through a ton of hoops to get an insulin pump and after everything was said and done the insurance changed and now I am back at square one. SO frustrating.
And as a nurse, dear Lord, I know the damaging effects of uncontrolled diabetes.

I have a son with really bad diabeties please take your meds and do all you can. In 2005 I lost my youngest son to diabeties he was 34 and would not do anything the Dr. told him and his heart stoped and 3 weeks later my Oldest son had a heart attach and found he has bad diabeties with bad feet. He has had 5 strokes because of it and fianily decided he has to do what the Dr says. He is taking his meds and doing much better. I started a to a weight Dr in January and I have lost 19 1'2 pounds. It is really hard but I know I have to do it. When the lung Dr told me he had done all he could and I am obese It really hurt my feelings to think that I knew I was fat but I did not think I was that bad. But I am really trying to lose and keep it off.

Stopping by to say hi to all the inchers! So funny about the trashy romance novels...bathtub books. Some of them I wouldn't EVER read on the couch...my kids are too young to know about stuff like that (says the overprotective mom, lol)!

Diabetes is scary stuff...Norma, you behave and take your meds! I am so glad you were right on top of things and got to the Dr right away. Nothing to mess around with, for sure.

pamper1 -- congrats on the weight loss...19.5 lbs since January is AMAZING. Great job!

It is scary. My son is 52 and has had diabetes too, for several years. He said his A1C was 9.8 last time they did it, and they said 2 more points and he would have to have insulin. Mine has never been much over 7 so I am not in as much danger, but I know all of us should be watching and taking care of ourselves.
(and I just ate a Cadberry Easter Egg just BECAUSE IT WAS HERE) Shame on me.

I am sorry to hear about your son Pamper1. If left uncontrolled it can be devestating. In my case, I have been fortunate to this stage, not to have suffered the affects of the disease. However, laziness on my part to exercise has to stop and we have joined a gym with programs to help. I'll attempt walking and bands to start. They have a great indoor walking/jogging track, so weather can't be an excuse for me. To all of you, work at it, because life IS what you make it.
And oh, I finished my inchies. Yay! I'll have them in the mail tomorrow.

Just saw this on Facebook and had to share this discovery with my SCS friends: ‎*WARNING*

DO NOT wash your hair in the shower!!

It's so good to finally get a health warning that is useful!!!

IT INVOLVES THE SHAMPOO WHEN IT RUNS DOWN YOUR BODY WHEN YOU SHOWER WITH IT. WARNING TO US ALL!!!

Shampoo Warning! I don't know WHY I didn't figure this out sooner! I use shampoo in the shower! When I wash my hair, the shampoo runs down my whole body, and printed very clearly on the shampoo label is this warning, "FOR EXTRA BODY AND VOLUME."

No wonder I have been gaining weight! Well! I got rid of that shampoo and I am going to start showering with Dawn Dishwashing Soap. It's label reads, "DISSOLVES FAT THAT IS OTHERWISE DIFFICULT TO REMOVE."

Problem solved! If I don't answer the phone, I'll be in the shower!

I'm grabbing my towel right now and heading to the shower. I'm not coming out until I'm a size 6 again or I run out of hot water...whichever comes first.

I think we should all buy some stock in Dawn. Once this secret gets out, the stock prices are going to skyrocket.

I have been using it a long time for my dishes. That is why I have these little bitty hands and huge other parts. I must fill my tub and soak in it.

I've got to stay fully clothed. Our spokesmodel needs to be naked in that tub full of Dawn---the bubbles will cover all your lady bits.

I don't want to burst your bubbles (LOL) but back to business. My inchies left for parts unknown. (I hope not!) And postage was $7.88 for 100 little inchies. Small packet air. I will be interested to know the U.S. equivalent on their return.

It was SOOO frustrating. Had the age old issue with the EK Success 1 inch punch jamming up on me, I just bought it! I would love to give my money to a company that makes something as good. Any thoughts?

For my inchie bases I invested in a set of 4 Cuttlebug dies sizes 1", 1.5", 2" & 2.5"---have to crank them through one at a time. I have an EK Success (aka Stampin Up) black whale 1" punch for images. Be careful when buying punches as some companies measure on the diagonal. I think I got the dies on eBay.
