I have the same experience a lot of times, and find that people just don't understand. But we don't care do we? We have met some really good friends and have learned so much and have had soooo much fun! What would we do without our SCS buddies?
Their loss. Hang in there.

Hi ladies, I am not part of this swap but I have a message for you. I was visiting Sibermax and I just want to say that the inchies that you will be receiving from her are fabulous!!!! I was amazed at the detail that she could get into a one inch square.

I agree, Sybil! I think we are going to have a good bunch with this swap!

Julie got her necklace--she loved it! She made me laugh; she was showing it off. My in laws are visiting from New Jersey. They are wonderful people and I enjoy their company.
We are currently getting dumped on by snow and ice and sleet. Boo. More ready for spring than I realized.

My 25 cents trashy romance novel came in quite handy for inspiration. I only bought it for the quotes but it sort of seduced me into reading it. Definitely not a candidate for great literature.

Well, I finished 3 more today (all the same design) so now I have a grand total of 8 done!! Yes, 8, not 8 sets. I'm going to make a couple more tonight and then I think I will have to start making sets of 5 in order to get done on time.

I made a few digital pieces, but I made them as 4x4 and when I shrunk them down to an inch they are kinda hard to see. Too much detail for an inchie. Live and learn. I may not use any of those for inchies, but if we ever have a chunky swap I will be well on my way to having 4 done!! LOL!

Everyone needs bathtub books. My friend and I read them in the hot tub and if they fall in, oh well. Trashy books(not too trashy) do have a place. Some of the free kindle books fall in the same category.

I buy old books at yard sales to read in the bathtub. I am like you, if they fall in, so?
Nice books I read on the couch.

I go to the Friends of the Library book sales. Paperbacks are 50 cents and then at the end of the day, they are a bag full for $5. I took a 25 cents paperback to read on my 14 hour flight to China and every 10 or so pages, I'd rip the pages out and leave them in the seat pocket. People were having a fit because I was destroying my book but I was looking at it as less weight to carry around. On that trip I did the same thing with clothes, as they got dirty I'd just leave them behind (of course I'm talking about clothes that were ready for the Goodwill bin).

My son (the librarian/musician) almost had a stroke the first time he saw me making ATCs from book pages, especially MUSIC book pages. I showed him the terrible condition they were in and explained that they would have been thrown out, and this way people could enjoy those fairly good pages for a long time rather than them being gone forever in the trash. He is used to it now. Stuff is just stuff, and if it has seen its best days and can't be used again the way it is supposed to be used, then have fun with it.
That is a great idea about the clothes too, Paulette. My niece and her husband lived in England for ten years. When they came home for a visit, they only packed enough clothes for one or two days, filled their luggage with gifts and whatever. Then they shopped here for new clothes because they were less expensive here, and packed them to take home. I thought that was clever too.

My mojo has up and gone, but I am sitting at my kitchen table with bits and pieces everywhere, trying to get these little creatures finished. I have 60 complete and ready for my nametag and the others ready to cut and paste. So in the next day or two I plan to complete them and mail them out. Oh my aching shoulders. LOL.

I placed mine in a plastic baggie and then put them in a padded envelope, the padded envelope will go in another envelope to mail. That way Dena can use the padded envelope to return them to me.

That's the way I package mine. In a plastic baggie with my name and the swap name on it either on a sticker or marker.
This goes in a bubble envelope with my name and address and postage back to me. Don't seal it. Put this in another envelope, I just use a plain shipping envelope, and address it to the hostess. That way she can just scoot the inchies out, put the swapped ones back in your plastic bag, into the padded bag, seal it and back they come.

I'm over a quarter of the way done, and have just finished my moo's for another swap so now I can concetrate solely on my inchies. YAY INCHIES!!! Its funny, many of them rather made themselves. lol. Not sure if that makes sense to anyone else.
