Ahhh....to be home! I have been "nesting" since I have been home, wanting things to be super clean for Pat since his immunity is compromised with the transplant. Reminds me of when I had my kids and I felt that need to scrub, straighten and reorganize.

I got ellenlou and groovy mom inchies while I was gone! Super cute! they had issues posting on the thread so I pm'd them. If you like stamped creative inchies, these will be a treat from the two of them!!

Groovy Mom should be okay to post to the threads - let me know if she has any further trouble and I'll look into it.

ellenlou is not currently a member of the Swaps Forum. She needs to join the Forum to particpate in future swaps. She can PM me if she has any questions or problems.

So glad you and Pat are home and on the mend Yay!

I have 80 of 100 complete and a few more in assembly. I am most excited about the group of Dr. Who inchies including a 3D TARDIS. I also am pleased with my Candy Crush Saga group. I dedicated a few to Australia and New Zealand where I am heading in a few weeks. Glad to hear things are coming together for you Dena.

Ok i think im finally getting to write something in this forum. In the past I've always done stamped images due to the trades I had joined not here on SCS. Since I've completed mine already and sent to Dena I too can't wait to see what I receive back...not sure how to collage so just reading the forums on how to do this I started clipping stuff just because...lol

I don't know if you guys are aware but my my husband's kidney transplant was possible because my father's girlfriend, Julie, of 16 years was willing to donate her kidney. She wasn't a direct match so they went on the paired donor list that matches you up with other people who are in the same situation.
Anyway, I have been wracking my brain about what kind of gift I could get Julie to say thank you. (Realizing of course that there is nothing material in this world that will TRULY express the gratitude for giving someone life) While we were at the hospital one of Pat's doctors had this simple, elegant silver necklace on with, you guessed it, a little kidney bean! It's from Tiffany's and I was thrilled to learn it wasn't crazy-out-of-my-budget-expensive! Here is the necklace I bought her...it came yesterday in that beautiful Tiffany blue box...

What a wonderful gift, and a wonderful person. I'm so happy for you and Pat. Sorry I haven't checked in more, but crazy goings on here this week. Here's another little peek, I am not done like so many of you, but as you well know, I kind of trudge along. This was such a great idea, I needed a kick in the pants

These are just...... I don't have words. Even when I try to make my inchies look classy, they always turn out whimsical, and yours are pure CLASS. You just have the touch. You are one of my heros.

I admire both of you for the amount of detail you can put into your square inch of real estate. Pugs for her effortless classic look, and Sybil for your whimsy. I think if either of you tried to do what the other gals does best, both would be lees than perfect. Everyone has their own style, and when you try to fight that, you always lose.

Don't fight the whimsy Sybil, embrace it. it's what we love best about your work

(And yes, I envy Pugs her style......she makes it look so darned easy. Dang it! LOL)

You both are Inchie masters.

When I was really active in my Stampin' Up group, our "teacher" told me that she loved how when she shared a card idea or whatever, that no matter how she designed it mine came out whimsical. She did a snowman basket thingy one time, and it was really nice, and everyone's looked the same as hers except mine, and when they looked at mine they laughed. I tried really hard to "conform" but mine had a goofy look on his face.
So Thank you for you compliment, I love the whimsy, but I am envious of those of you who do classy and artsy and so forth. I try, I really do. I just don't have it in me.

Pugs, your inchies are always so classy---I'm envious of your style. Mrs McC, love your whimsy---your work always bring a smile. It's great that we all aren't cookie cutters. My BFF, Hedy, always tries to step outside her box and gets so frustrated when her work seems to have the same flair. Her work is always amazing and I keep telling her: you can't improve on perfection.

Dena what a wonderful person Julie is and that necklace is the perfect gift.
The thing I love most about swaps is receiving inchies, atc's whatever that are different in style from what I do. Everyone on here is very creative in their own way and it's what makes these swaps so wonderful.

JCI --

Dena, that necklace is the perfect gift. Every time I just about give up on humans, I learn about something like the paired donors and am just overwhelmed at how much people can do when they want...getting all teary and sniffly over here.

Sybil, I know just what you mean. I have had so many people say "I recognized your work," even when I try REALLY hard to do something different and unusual. Even DH's mom picks my stuff out of a line-up without even knowing which was mine. It used to drive me crazy, but now I just roll with it...I guess it's kind of cool to have my own "signature style" after all!

I enjoy the personal stories and discuss with my uncrafty friends the joy of SCS but they nod and smile at times. 95/100 done. A few I will "add a little something" more.
Thank you all for your variety.
