Pearl, you can use cereal boxes for the backings. Then use cardstock for both the front and back.

Your best bet is to invest in a one inch punch. Then you invest in a 7/8 punch. then you start saving all those bits of cardstock and designer paper...

Pearl, I did a brief writeup on how to start inchies. You may find it useful.

Greetings in Paradise. I visited your islands last year and never was anywhere so lovely. Going to New Zealand and Australia this year and hope to revisit you again sometime soon. What a lovely part of the world!

Malaho, Miz Mauiueno.

My sister just left for Maui today. She will be there for a two weeks. One day, it will be my turn.

Meanwhile, use your homeland as inspiration. Look around you at advertising on packaging and see how you can incorporate it into an inchie. My sister was in China last year and brought back the packaging of some yak milk she had drunk. Yes, you read right- yak milk. So I am going to try and see how I can include it in an inchie. ( She said it was the creamiest milk she had ever drunk).

Maybe some hawaiian sand on an inchie for those of us that can only dream of the paradise you are living in

Some of my most favorite inchies have little bits of this and that. i also love it when people take the time to jot a little note and tell you where the items came from. The sand sounds awesome. Highly doubt someone wants snow and ice. lol

Split coast stampers has an app for android??? Do they have one for iphone......... off to look on the app store.

And no I don't think the snow will quite translate the same as hawaiian sand otherwise I'd have tons of supplies for millions of inchies LOL.

I worked on a couple of digital inchies but have not embellished them yet. Finished my first stamped inchie tonight. It is fun to work small again!

Your crab is cute! I wish stamping didn't seem so hard to me. I guess I am a collage girl at heart.
Any suggestions to a newbie with the digital collage??

I would love an inchie with Hawaiian sand!! So cool.

I found 9 inchies that I did in October so I only have 81 left to go. Ha!

I'll probably get started tomorrow, maybe even upload some new stuff to my gallery.

Just out of curiosity, how long does it take you to get mail from the states in
Hawaii ? Nothing better from Hawaii than pure kona coffee...makes my mouth drool and my pocket book cry at the thought!!

It depends on so many favors, including the time of day you mail and if the stars are aligned right! I have received mail from the mail and in 2-3 days and mail from Oahu taking six months - an extreme situation I assure you, but it did indeed happen.

I actually prefer a Kona blend - 100% is just too strong for me!

Lots of us would like Hawaiian themed inchies. I'll bet you could make 100 of them and put different stuff on them and it would make all of us happy. Let's see, 5 with palm trees, 5 with pineapples, 5 with hula girls..............see there, it could be done.

I wish I preferred the cheaper kona blend! We are some pretty hard core coffee drinkers!
Wow....six months...that's crazy!

Tomorrow we all have the day off, so my husband and son are heading to the auto show and the baby and I are staying home. I thought about going out to run some errands but thought of bundling her up, getting her in the carseat, and taking her back out just to do it all over again makes me re-think my plan. :P

I see many inchies in my future.

We love Kona coffee. Use to buy a couple of pounds for Christmas when they brought it in as a specialty item. But can't afford it now. Way beyond a pension budget. And that was the real thing too.

Hilo Hattie? I have to google now.
And Dena, I haven't heard "Kiss my grits" in a long time. I just laughed when I read that.
I am working on one swap that is due Feb. 15, and in my mind I am seeing inchies. I LOVE those little doo dads.
