I can give you some info on them. They are made out of all kinds of things. But most are made of cardstock. Some use chipboard. Some use vellum. Some even do waht was originally done when they first started and that is to cover a playing card. Most also have multiple layers or look like they have multiple layers.
But the most important thing about ATC's is that they are supposed to represetn your style and your art! And they are supposed to be fun!
I love them! And have made a bunch now and always look forward to trading with people.

Well, I have always done mine with cardstock but how exactly do you cover a playing card? Like literally cover the whole thing with cardstock? Or just the front...
Always wanting to learn more....!!!
??? about this swap! Does this ATC have to have the state theme of some sort or can we design them however and just have the info on the back that my swap is from Michigan??? Cause I honestly don't have any stamps, paper, ect that represents Michigan! Carrie

Hi Carrie! I did a look up for my state to find out the state bird, state flower, etc. Plus seeing as how my state is Colorado, I'm sure that a snowflake or two may wind up on the ATC as well. Hope this gives you some ideas!

Correct me if I am wrong..but can it be something that makes you think of your state?
I am doing California so.... right away thought convertible car and sunshine....
My cards will be something like that....
Hope that helps
Just my 2 cents !
Ladies, this is going to be a wonderful challenge! I've only done a 9+1 swap before, so 51 is going to be a stretch. I haven't found too much stuff for Texas that's usable, but the search is on...
