I have all 5 of mine started. 1 is done and the rest are in various stages of completion. I am also working on about 5 swaps at the same time. I should be done with these and my Halloween ones by the end of the week. The idea is the hardest part once that's done I get an assembly line going and boom done. I'm doing all of my coloring at the same time on one big piece of paper. Easier that way.

Good Evening Friends!
I was trying to post my Public Service Announcments this morning, when our Internet server went wonky...

*Emma M. Nutt was the first professional female telephone operator, and worked in this role for 33 years.
This day commemorates her, and the historically important role of telephone operators.

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT
reminding us that there are some Dumb Criminals in the World

A Fort Lauderdale man was put out of his house by a termite infestation and was staying elsewhere while exterminators draped a giant tent over his house and filled it with poison gas. He was having difficulty sleeping so at around 4 a.m. he took out his smartphone to check a surveillance camera he'd installed in his living room -- and saw two dudes with shirts over their mouths rummaging around through his stuff.

He called police, who went to the house full of deadly gases to investigate but couldn't go inside because it was a house full of deadly gases. They called the exterminator to come and ventilate the house so they could get inside. They had no way of knowing that the burglars had already escaped.

Except an officer was tipped off that the men were on their way to a certain Swap Shop to hock their pilfered jewelry -- so police found the car and arrested two men inside on burglary charges and a third man on an unrelated warrant. It wasn't safe to enter the house until 1:30 the following afternoon.

"What kind of person does that?" asked the Fort Lauderdale Police spokesman. "What kind of person risks their life for a couple of pieces of property, going into a house with 'Danger! Do not enter! Poison!' signs all over it?"

Nothing special going on here. I have a big weekend next weekend, starting with a 14 hour crop on Saturday, so I'm in my craft room trying to get enough swaps ready to assemble so I can work on them then. I'm going to spend today stamping, embossing, cutting and organizing so that I have everything together.
Have a wonderful Sunday everyone.

Quick question, do we need to decorate the back side of our calendar pages?? I don't mean with a second copy of the calendar but with pretty paper etc?? I'm making my bases from chipboard stuff, was about to sign them all and then remembered its a flip calendar and you might not want brown card to show......let me know.

Yeah, mine are not on chipboard, will that make a difference since they will be thinner?

It won't matter (i dont think, she didnt specify) some will just be thicker is all. It's a flip calendar so it's not like it's getting handled everyday.

You are correct - basically the same rules apply as regular ATCs - sturdy base...yada, yada.... As for the backs, if you want to put a lovely paper on the reverse side, it's always better than cardboard color It doesn't need to be decorated, but signing is always appreciated.

I didn't mean that to sound like it was required - it is optional.

Went to Twelfth Night at American Players Theater this afternoon. It's an outdoor theater in the woods---the performance was excellent but Oh! that sun was a little much. Early dinner and best part of the day---pineapple and lychee yogurt with coconut shreds as a topping at Orange Leaf Yogurt. I'm addicted to that stuff.

Thinking about these... hope you're having a great time getting on with your day.

Hugs from WI

This weekend my DH is trying to put the final touches on the projects for Wausau School District before the students go back Tuesday. He's a Network Engineer... This summer so many projects have caused him to work too much including tomorrow. He did take yesterday off to go out of town for the day but I think that he only took about six days really away from his job. UGH.. I love that he works hard but it's hard to see that he didn't have many days to get away.

Good Morning Friends!

Happy Labor Day!!!
I hope you have plans to enjoy today!

... ... ... ...

Today is Labor Day
and Canada’s Labour Day,
but it’s also…
National Watermelon Day,
Chant Day,
Lower-Case Letter Day,
Sky Scraper Day,
and National Welsh Rarebit Day.

Enjoy your holiday of choice today!
And, of course, enjoy the l-o-n-g holiday weekend!

Please excuse the interruption, but here’s a
PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT
reminding us that there are some Dumb Criminals in the World

A Port Richey, Florida man downed a six-pack of beer and a handful of Oxycontin and then proceeded to get arrested for causing a ruckus at his neighbor's house. He found himself released from jail a few hours later. Shortly after being released, he was arrested again for trying to break into cars in the visitors' parking lot of the jail he was just released from.

The man’s substance-fueled trouble began when deputies found him crawling out from underneath bushes at his neighbor's house. His shorts were sagging low on his waste and on backward. A witness claimed he had been peeing in the bushes. Witnesses also claimed he banged on his neighbor's door, broke the glass panel of a porch light, and then ripped the light's electrical wiring out of the wall.

The intoxicated 48-year-old was arrested for criminal mischief and booked into jail at 7:38 p.m. He was released around 10 o'clock that night and was waiting in the visitors' parking lot of the jail for a ride, but apparently he got impatient. A woman drove up in her Acura. Shortly after she got out, the man tried to get in. She yelled, and he explained he thought it was his car.

Shortly afterward, however, he tried breaking into yet another car. A deputy was watching this time, and less than two hours after his release, the man was taken back to jail and was charged with two counts of attempted auto burglary.

This weekend has been quiet for me, my DH & I are not going to any picnics or family get-togethers - just the 2 of us.

I'll try to get some things done today...

Yes, Twelfth Night is one of my favorite Shakespeare comedies. The plays at APT are always so well done---they have top-notch professional actors and the costumes are spectacular. Try to attend at least one play there every summer.

Thanks for April, Joyce. I am so glad to be in this swap....and no arm-twisting was involved! I've had that owl stamp set for a while now. It's so danged cute, but I could never figure out exactly what to do with him. It's the perfect size for an ATC, so there you go!

I would like to take the last spot in Group 5 - March. If it isn't spoken for.

Well, the beauty of that one is either I can send it back to you in your calendar group, or I can keep it in mine. Everyone else will get the same artwork.

Nobody would have to know that they are not all the same. Except Joyce, and she would be fine with it I am sure. I wouldn't know if someone else's was different. You are so much like me, perfectionist. But I am loosening up on myself somewhat lately. Don't let it ruin your day when that happens, it's all good.

That is true. This is what I've got done so far but it's not quite what I was hoping for... any suggestions?? I feel it's missing "something"
