I received mine last week! So sorry for the delay in announcing their arrival. Love them all! These will be hard to gift, as I want to keep them all. I'm thinking of just placing them around the house near everyone's work stations...lol Thank you for your beautiful work and thanks for hosting, Joyce!

I got mine last week, too, but I have been such a slacker about posting. The calendar is fabulous which is no surprise since the ladies in my group are fabulous.
So, Joyce, these are going to become collectors' items in my houseold since I have both 2012 and 2013, and I am not parting with them. Thanks for hosting!

Two whole days without any mail in the box, not even junk mail. I think I am going into withdrawal pains.
Had a wonderful day shopping with my dtr. Did more Christmas buying and except for hubby and myself, I think I am done.

Ah if they reached Manitoba, and Jen, I'll give it three more days to cross the rest of the provinces to BC. So mail delivery time would be next Wednesday. I'll let you know.
I wish we had Saturday delivery too.

I think it's cool that you an tell how long the travel time is from one end to the other. I think that means we've been swapping together for a good long time

We'll see who gets their package first, Loretta. There is no rhyme or reason when it comes to mail delivery in this country. I always give 3 weeks delivery time to get my cards in for swaps, but sometimes it shocks even me when they arrive in the US in five days. (Which I believe it should - we aren't working with the pony express anymore).

We are at the mercy of every servant in every occupation. They call the shots, and we wait. How strange that we outnumber them, but that they have the power. And they know it.

Well, our dog sleds would have to have wheels, Jen. No snow here yet, and no packages either. They missed their Wednesday deadline. How about you Loretta, did they get to Alberta yet?

The almanac predicts a green Christmas for us. We shall see, but again it will only be inches not feet, if we do see any. I shall be waiting at my front door for the mailman tomorrow.

Apologies to all, but my calendars arrived safely. I had company for two days and forgot to post my receipt of mail. Wonderful cards and great work from everyone.
I thank our hostess for all the work she put into making this a successful swap. Merry Christmas all.

I am glad you finally got them Norma. We will need them in a couple of weeks!
I keep looking and looking at mine. I sent one to my niece in S. Dakota, in her Christmas package. I am grieving over it. They are hard to give up.

Once you clip them all to the holder, is there a secret to keeping them from toppling over with the weight of the cards? Any ideas here. They do look so cute.

I found that by putting 6 on one side and 6 on the other, they balance out nicely. I also removed the page each month instead of trying to keep them all together for the year. Because of the assorted weights of each card, I adapted my methods instead of trying to make the calendar do what I thought it was supposed to do (ie...go in 12 month order from one side to the other). If you alternate how you put them on the rings, starting with December and working forward to January you should be balanced out quite nicely. I also alternated sides so that as I removed the pages, all I had to do was turn the base around every month. I'll explain that better if anyone doesn't understand what I meant.

I hope that helps a little

You are perfectly correct in that method Joyce. I did put them side to side at first, but I omitted taking the "used" month off the calendar so that they stayed balanced. I tried flipping them and of course the weight toppled them over. So I shall get a baggy ready for them and file them away after each month. Thank you.
