I am still in my jammies too. Himself has gone "out and about" and Charlie and I are just chillin. I must get busy soon, but right now we are enjoying the quiet.

Well, the jammie thing isn't gonna last much longer. I need a couple of boxes to mail out some swaps so a trip to the PO is on the todo list. I need to pick up a few things at the grocery too, so I guess I'll go out & brave the elements today so I can mail my packages by Friday. I'll put off the oil change until next week. Don't want to spend all day outside - it's yucky.

We lucked out today with gorgeous sunshine and warm air. We had lots of appointments today and lots of time on our hands. So I did some Christmas shopping and had lunch out with hubby. But we still had time on our hands before our flu shots,
so I put the seat back in the van, opened the window and listened to the world. You don't expect many of those days in November.

I mailed mine yesterday. I sent them air because I'm running a bit late, sorry. I shaved my wee dog yesterday and of course it got cold today so she is running around in her little sweater being ever so cute. I have to find the pattern I used and make her another one soon.

Charlie went to the groomer yesterday too, and has wanted to snuggle all day. It has been cooler today, and rainy, and when he went out and got a little damp he couldn't wait to be wrapped in the towel and fussed over.
I made sweaters for all my girl dogs. Since Flossie passed away Charlie has been using her food dish, harness and blanket. I don't know how he will feel about using her sweaters, especially the pink one with the hearts. He is a little bigger than all the others, but hopefully we can find a stretchy one that isn't to girly.

Good morning

I want to see pictures of the dogs in their sweaters. Can we have a doggie style show?

This is my Snuffy in her "getting kind of ratty sweater". We think she might like a nice new blue one or maybe green.

I will try to get pictures soon. We had frost this morning, so it is time to get the sweaters out anyhow! I know our older girls will be wearing them, but it is an adventure as to what Charlie will do. We have had him almost 6 months now, and we are still getting to know each other. He is great most of the time, but he still surprises us. So whether he will allow a sweater on him is yet to be seen................
Snuffy is adorable. And the red seems to be her color. Will you be making or buying a new sweater?

My Sassy... when she was a year old and younger wore the sweaters with no problems. The second winter if you put one on her she froze... just stood there... acted like she could not move. As soon as the sweater came off.. she became playful. Now, I have this pile of various sweaters, pink coat-like with a fur hood, Mrs. Santa outfit... some never worn nor even tried on.

Sassy is a Peke-A-Poo... anyone need any sweaters, PM me!

That is the way our Ruby, the miniweenie does every year when we first put the sweaters on. The others were always like dressing a baby, they just held their paws up and no problem. Ruby does have a little sweatshirt that says "4 on thr floor" that she likes to wear, will fuss at me when I try to take it off. She is shorthaired and very cold natured. Loves to burrow under the covers and pulls a blanket over herself. I think that is a Dachshund thing.
Charlie is new, and he is a boy, and sometimes he still asserts his "male-ness" and we are working on that. I hope he will wear the sweaters, with his hair cut now he may get chilled. He is mostly Shih Tzu but is longer legged and bigger, and when his hair starts to get long it curls. His ears are longer and hang down more than our Shih Tzus. The vet says he may have some poodle in him. And that is fine, we love him no matter what he is. We think he is beautiful. Here is a picture of how he looks now.

He is so cute. Sassy is a Peke-a-Poo and the only reason we waited on that "designer' breed (that cracks me up) is that our neighbors had one and his allergies didn't go crazy. There pup is a very small and our Sassy is much bigger. Side x side you wouldn't even know they were the same breed. But, as you said, love, love, love her. She is my fav photo source...

Sweet babies - thanks for sharing

Well, the bills are paid, the books are balanced and I have 3 swap boxes ready to take to the post office. I feel like I have accomplished my chores for today.

Okay...the floor does need to be swept, and the laundry never ends, but we won't be talking about that.

Wow, your dogs hold still for pictures! Mine is a wiggly little thing always in motion, lol. I made the sweater she is wearing, it has cables down the back and fire hydrant buttons on the sides. I did buy her one once but it doesn't fit her very well. She's on the bigger side of Shih Tzu so it works better to make her one. She loves her sweaters, comes running when I pull one out and does her best to stand still to put it on, all the while wiggling to get it on faster!

Yes we have had a couple of frosty mornings and our Charlee needs a haircut too. If we don't clip her, she gets very curly and add dampness, or snow and she is a matted mess. She then has to be sheared like a lamb.

She is adorable! She seems to be more Peek than Poo! In fact she looks a lot like our little Rosie and she is a Shih Tzu, registered and everything.
Charlie's nose is longer and has several characteristics that are more Poo than Shih. But we like his fluffy-curly hair and his long leggity legs. He was skin and bones when we got him but is up to about 20 pounds now, bigger than a real Shih Tzu, or ours anyhow. Our Shih Tzus never have a shedding problem so no allergy problems for us. The Dachshund sheds a lot more. Charlie doesn't shed at all, and his fur is like silk. SO snuggly!

He has you fooled. He is really a clown and a snuggle bunny. Nothing regal about him. Just a happy-go-lucky fellow!

Are you feeling better? Did you feel the earthquake the other day in Kentucky? I heard about it on the news. With all those pkgs it will be like Christmas.

Fever is gone but I still have the sore throat. All I want to do is sleep (normal behavior when I get a cold). Unfortunately for me, DS wants to take his driver's test (written) today so I have to out this afternoon. They only offer the written test once a week and I've already put him off for three. Oh, the pleasures of living in a tiny county....

Yes, we did feel the earthquake. Actually, I heard it rather than felt it. DH has a metal "mailbox" hanging by my computer and it rattled against the wall for about 15 seconds. DS said he heard louder sounds coming from his end of the house but we never figured out what they might have been. It's the thirs earthquake we have felt since we moved out here. Kinda neat, kinda scary.

Hope you are feeling better soon, Joyce. Keep warm, but enjoy the fresh air. It sometimes helps better than sitting in the house. I heard about your earthquake on the news. Kind of scarey, when they start popping up all over the place.

Bummer! An "in person" hand off is always soooo much better Safe travels towards that turkey, ya hear? I'll let you know when they arrive.

Happy Mail Alert!

Bethyblue and Forest Ranger - your packages have arrived safely.

Loretta - You are one of the top 5 people I want to spend a day with, getting inky. Your serene style of composition always strikes a chord with me. I just admire your work - it's always flawless. Beautiful September card here...just beautiful. How do you get the crisp white stamped image? Mine never turns out so nicely. What's your secret?

Now about those goodies....You Canadians are so confused.....Smarties that look like M&Ms, Smarties labeled as Rockets....I'm just gonna laugh and laugh and gobble them all up. hee hee hee Thank you for the goodies - Yum - what ever you want to call them!

Jeanette - I went back to look at your first post - you said... "Never done anything like this before"..."a bit scared"....

What I want to know is, What were you afraid of? These are wonderful! I love them both. The little drops of rain in the April clouds and the truly festive feel of the December card...you aced them both! Fabulous job! From now on, you can be fearless. Thank you for the stamp. It will go great in my girly collection. Now to make some new cards...

It won't be long now - 8 packages to go!
