Yup reserve an October for me If you open another group

So....

Jeanette - We are here for you, you can do this! You will be delighted by the final product and I'm adding you to April in Group #1. You will be glad you took two spots.

Sybil is correct about the holes. DON"T PUNCH THE HOLES!!! I will punch the holes when I receive them and then they will all be uniform. Please leave the top 1/2 inch clear of all chunky embellishments. I will try to add a picture (later today) of the template so everyone can see where the holes will be for designing purposes. Thank Sybil - I thought about that point last night and was going to remind everyone about it.

mauiueno - Marilyn, I have added you to your three requested months. Glad you are here. Have fun!

Sabrina - I've added you with a February. Once these groups fill up I will open more, do you want me to reserve an October slot for you in a new group? Glad you are with us

mrslaporte - Yay! Marilyn is here. My friend, I am adding you to the next three open months. They are March, June & February. Thanks for your help in getting this back off the ground. You are fabulous!

Now I have updated everything - have a wonderful morning. I'm sucking down my coffee & hitting the road. It will be about an hour round trip before I return....grrr.

I can remember when I did my first swap, and I thought "Nobody is going to like this, I am not sure what to do, they are going to laugh at my stuff....." and on and on. Everyone was so supportive and so sweet, and it really was OK.
Here is my first swap attempt. ATC's for Shirley Temple Swap by SybilMcC - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers
All you newcomers are going to really love the ladies who swap, and learn soooo much!
Welcome.

I would like to be in three different sets. December, August or July, and February if possible. If not, do the best you can. Thanks.

Right now all the Decembers and Februarys are booked. I gave you August & July in two different groups and September in the third spot. Thanks for being flexible

Kay & Betty, you both are added with your requested spots.

Since we've now filled up the first group and have one spot left in the second, I've opened a 4th Group to bring in more players. I'm so glad you all are excited about this swap. I am looking forward to seeing what creative things we get this time around. Go grab your friends now and bring em' in to join us

I have been studying the picture and have a question. It looks like the calendar is standing so it can sit on a desk, how do you put them together to do that?

Hee hee hee...somebody is doing their homework!

That is the little swapper treat I included with the finished calendars the first time around. I will be doing the same this year (so much for the surprise!). It is a cardstock stand that the calendar fits into and rests on - very easy to duplicate once you have one in hand, just in case you want to make gifts for family & friends.

Good evening, ladies!! I'm feeling much better today. I've been busy beeing around for most of the day. Wowsers! This swap filled fast!! May I have the August spot in group 2 and April for group 3? August is my birthday month and it must have been written for me to have that spot! LOL!

National Eat A Peach Day! Aww man, I don't have any fresh peaches on hand, but I know we've got a can in the cabinet. I may have to pop it open, and put fresh peaches on the grocery list. Got to get a good bit to freeze for the fall and winter. Nothing like some warm peach cobbler on a brisk day!

I've added you in Group 2 & 3. That filled up Group #2 Yay! Yes, this one was popular last year and I'm very happy to see lots of returning folks and lots of new faces. As the groups fill, I'll add new calendar groups as necessary - they made great little gifts for Christmas.

As for the peach cobbler - you're just making me hungry. That's one of my favorites - yum!

How many groups did you have last year? I know everybody enjoyed it.
I showed mine off to my group of ladies today and they just loved it. Now they want me to teach them how to make inchies.

Sorry about that, but OH SNAP! I want to make one for my daughter for her desk. She has stamped in the past and did ATC swaps. Now her new job keeps her pretty busy and she doesn't have the time to stamp. If any one lives up around Des Moines, stop by Buy Buy Baby and gtell her hi!!

We had five groups last year. Lots of them were being given as gifts. You newbies got off easy this year because last year they were required to have an Inchie on them somewhere within the design as well as the calendar. This time you only have to include the calendar. So I expect great things this time around too.

Have fun with it!

Good Morning Friends!

It’s Thursday… the weekend is coming!

... ... ... ...

Today is National Spongecake Day,
Valentino Day,
and the Day for Remembrance of the Slave Trade & Its Abolition.

Enjoy your holiday of choice today!

Please excuse the interruption, but here’s a
PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT
reminding us that there is Good Help available, and there is…

A young man was visiting a psychiatrist, hoping to cure his eating and sleeping disorder.

"Every thought I have turns to my mother," he told the psychiatrist. "As soon as I fall asleep and begin to dream, everyone in my dream turns into my mother. I wake up so upset that all I can do is go downstairs and eat a piece of toast."

The psychiatrist replied, "What, just one piece of toast for a big boy like you?"

Hugs!!!

Ok so now my brain is kicking in and I have questions. I have " June". Is there something I need to do for a theme or will any design work? Do I have to keep it "seasonable" with summer or does any coordinated pattern piece fit the swap?

The only criteria for the month is the June calendar needs to be incorporated in the design somewhere. After that it's up to you. Also, if you refer to the photo example you will see where the holes are being placed (approximately) - please keep that area clear of things I will either have to remove, relocate or punch a hole into. (All of which I did last year - I don't think anyone noticed though!)

If you want to be seasonal, be seasonal. If you don't, then we will cheerfully allow you to be something else. We're pretty reasonable around here

I'm puttin' gas in the pink tractor unless you get to her first. I think she missed last years event due to a major house re-do...she can't use that excuse this year.
