You know, that stuff that pops out of the toaster all beige & boring. I'll bet if we gave you a picture of toast, you would add some butter and a jar of jam....a cute napkin and a pretty plate....maybe even a picture of somebody's mom smiling. By the time you are finished we would all want some. Your good at gussyin' things up.

Really, I wouldn't have EVER guessed that it was a challenging topic for you at all. You ROCKED it!!!!!

I can spend hours looking at the subject on the computer - there are some really talented people out there who really rock the subject. Some of the costumes and living spaces I have seen are amazing.

I liked that card too

Toast has to have peanut butter.

That's okay, Norma - Jane's Mom is driving. The funniest part of being in this group is that I seldom drink. Been almost a year since I, um, "indulged." So, I'll be the one staggering around, singing bad karaoke....

We're filling up nicely, so I've added two new empty groups to entice some more players. Who else wants a spot?

Well, my group 9 looks like it is going to be fun, but look at the players. I'll have to step up my game here. However, I have started my first card for group 7. I hope Candy likes what I've done. There's a teaser for you, Candy. Now for nsmac's Steampunk, that is a challenge. I may leave that one until last to give myself time to think on it.

I feel the same way, Norma. I will have to research "steampunk" too, don't know diddly squat about it. This is a really good group of swappers, and it should be a blast.
I am excited about group 8 too. Fun stuff to do, more great swappers. Can't wait to see who will be the final one.
I wish I had all my other swaps done so I could jump on into this one, but I am funny about doing them as they come due.

Actually I'm with you Sybil. I like to do each swap as they are due. But I saw something and ideas came into my head, so I went with it. I'm putting away my list, and going back to my August swap. First things first.

I like to do swaps in order too, unless I get a great idea that just needs to be done.
This should be a lot of fun, when you only have to make 1 of a design instead of 12 it's a lot less limiting ...

I try to do swaps in order also, but sometimes an idea pops into my head and if I don't at least start it, I'll forget what it was.

Good morning

Here are today's chatty questions....

How many of you sing along with the radio/stereo while driving in the car? What was the last song you sang in the car?

Who still has in their possession, a toy that they had as a child? What is it and why do you still have it?

I sing all the time when I am alone. In the car, in the house, to the dogs, anywhere except around real people. I think the last thing I sang was a commercial jingle. You know I get that ear worm thing all the time.........
The only think I have from when I was a kid is a spoon that my daddy twisted the handle around in a circle so I could hold it to eat. I don't know how it survived. No toys, I don't know where they went. I don't remember a particular toy that I had, isn't that strange? I remember playing with buttons and fabrics and things.............

Of course - loud, with head bobbing and shoulder shaking and steering wheel tapping! Being a fan of Country Music and Oldies Rock, I sing 'em all. Last time my daughter was in the car with me and I was belting one out, she asked me who was singing that tune and I told her and she said, and I quote, "You should let them."
Sadly, when I moved out, I took no childhood toys with me. I gave them away to my nieces. Man, I wish I had taken all those Barbies with me - they are worth a fortune now!

I sing in the car all the time. To whatever's in the stereo or on the radio. Right now my favorite tune to catch & sing is Fun's catchy little anthem - We Are Young. I get toooo carried away with that one.

I have a stuffed bear from when I was very small. He's flat from being slept upon for many years. He lives in my craft room now on a shelf.

As for the questions Sybil - I found a new game at the Goodwill. It's called "Social Circles - the game that encourages conversation and fellowship". It just jumped into the cart and came home with me

Claudia, I do have my Barbies but I would guess they are not worth a thing. They are well used and well loved and I pulled them out last year to let DD play with them. Let's just say I have a groovy collection of outfits!

Oh, and I have them because when my mom moved when I was in college she boxed up all my stuff and gave it to me. Not sure why I've been holding on to them except they all fit in one box.

I'm too old for Barbies. My mama took a little doll and made me a storybook doll set when I was about seven years old. She made dresses for Cinderella, with one raggedy dress and then a nice shiny gown, a Red Riding Hood cape, and a few more. Those are the only two I really remember. I haven't thought of that in years. By the time Barbie came out I was playing with my real kids.

Last song I sang to in the car would be yesterday....Crazy by Patzy Cline.
Childhood toy, well ladies my dad was a toy buyer for a large firm. You can just imagine as he would bring home all of the samples. I think I have everything muppet (although I was older when I got those)
My bear, (named: bearbear) was with me through my entire childhook, his head kind of fell off a bit so I safety pinned it back on. The basset hound chewed off his nose so I used a marker to try and draw it back on. Of course his eyes are missing. I love this bear and he sits in my room.

"Somebody I Used to Know" by Gotye. I still have all my little dolls---they are pre-Barbies. They were dressed in formal gowns and were supposed to represent women in their 20's but they had very "little-girlish" figures---no boobs.
