I'm in Eau Claire, WI until Monday AM. Driving to Madison---3 hour drive. Then on Wed. leave for a big stamp show in Cincinnati OH---show is on Sat. Lots of your SCS swappers will be there. If you are traveling on interstate I-94 from MN to Chicago. The exit after Tomah & before Wis Dells is Mauston. Get off the exit & turn right, just past the 1st stoplight and on the left is a store called Better Buys. Lots of stamping & scrapping supplies at cheap prices---60 to 70% off retail. I got Spellbinders yesterday for $5.99. If you see a TJ Max store, $20 dollar EK Success punches are $3.99. Let me know when you are passing through Madison---I'd love to do coffee.

Good morning

I'm spending the day in my crafty space. We had family dinner yesterday, which was great fun, but today I am looking forward to a little "me" time. I have several swap packages that I need to pack for mailing so I can see my work table again!

Yay! Nocole made it in - Now we are full again! Woohoo!

Good morning everyone

Questions for today...

1. Have you ever given something and then gotten it back in return? What was it?

2.What quality did you have as a child that you wish you still had?

3. Have you ever been in the audience of a television show? What was it?

1. Have you ever given something and then gotten it back in return? What was it?

Not that I remember. I have gotten some things that I didn't know what they were.........

2.What quality did you have as a child that you wish you still had?

I am still pretty much the same as when I was a child. I would like to be able to be more completely trusting of people the way I was then, just thinking everybody was so wonderful. But people are not always deserving of that trust so I am more reserved and backoffish.
Does that make sense?

3. Have you ever been in the audience of a television show? What was it?

No.

Good Morning, I'm happy to see some chatty questions. Hmmm....

Questions for today...

1. Have you ever given something and then gotten it back in return? What was it?
Does illness count?
As for "stuff" I have passed different things back and forth with my sister including clothes.

2.What quality did you have as a child that you wish you still had? I think it would be my fitness.... I played volleyball and rode my bike often. Now I don't.

3. Have you ever been in the audience of a television show? What was it?
Nope, never.

1. Have you ever given something and then gotten it back in return? What was it?
No - Sure haven't! I'd like too though, since I usually love what I buy other people and some of my loved ones have some pretty interesting gift giving ideas! LOL

2.What quality did you have as a child that you wish you still had?
A carefree attitude about real life that gave me the ability to dream BIG! Just not having to worry about things like whats for dinner, the bills and the ability to really care and think I could make a difference about things like starving kids in Africa.

3. Have you ever been in the audience of a television show? What was it?
LMAO ~ NO!!!l

Still thinking on my topic!!!!

1. I have seen it happen but not to me. Some of the things I give to others, I wouldn't mind getting back for me.
2. To be able to run like the wind again, and not worry about balance and tripping myself up.
3. The closest I got to sitting in an audience for a show, was a preview invitation to some up and coming shows. (Which by the way, I never saw ever hit the airwaves, and it was a very boring evening). But I was in the audience for a Childrens Hospital telethon
variety show. They raise mega millions every year.

No, although I have an aunt who's a consummate regifter, so I've gotten stuff other people have given her...

2.What quality did you have as a child that you wish you still had?
I think the belief that somehow everything would turn out OK, and the ability to be fearless

Nope, never have

Watching the show was fun ... however they were shooting 3 shows in a row, you had to be there about 3 hours before the show started and stand in line outside on a hot summer day ... I'm not a big fan of standing in line or hot

Questions of the day...

1. Can yo do a magic trick?
Does making chocolate disappear count? (Heheehee)
No I am not magical

2. Have you ever made a snow angel? Or a snow fort? Or an igloo?
The biggest snow I have ever seen was about 3 inches, and no, I didn't do a snow angel. We don't get nice fluffy snow, just slickery icy snow. All I ever did in the snow was fall.

3. How many of you have an ancestor who is historically significant?
Oh no, I come from a long line of ordinary, possibly unsavory characters. My daddy said it was not a good idea to trace our ancestors, we would be very disappointed.

1. Can yo do a magic trick?
I love Sybil's answer -- I can make chocolate disappear too. LOL I can't do any tricks but as a grandmother I have learned how to be a very patient and surprised audience.

2. Have you ever made a snow angel? Or a snow fort? Or an igloo?
Made plenty of snow angels growing up in Pittsburgh. But as an adult, I always volunteered to stay inside and make the hot chocolate for everyone else. Fond memories of watching snowmen, snow-mice and snow-Easter Island heads being built outside my kitchen window when the kids were little.

3. How many of you have an ancestor who is historically significant?
No. The only thing I remember Mom telling me about our ancestors was, "Don't worry, honey, no one in our family ever had enough money to oppress anybody."

My daddy said there were lots of bootleggers and horse thieves in our background. I thought that would be colorful to talk about but he never gave me any names to trace back to.

Magic - no I can't say I have ever had that ability.
Snow forts, angels and igloos - most definitely yes, having grown up in Montreal.
Having an English background, I do believe that we are connected in some way to royalty, however, they take no notice of me, so it would be a useless cause to concern myself about it. My mum and dad were invited to Buckingham Palace to have tea with the Queen in her royal gardens. They went.

Snow angels & forts yes, I grew up in No. Wisconsin.
I'm related to Celine Dione, Madonna, Robert Goulet and Camilla Parker Bowles (Yuck)---9th cousins or more generations removed.

Darn saw this too late, we stopped in Mauston for gas. Went through Eau Claire and Madison. I'll be in Columbus Ohio next week after Denver. Looks like I'm missing all the action. I will give you a nudge when we leave Chicago which would be not this Sat but next.

Probably traveled south of Wausau, see us on the map. Now onto Joyce's questions.

Questions of the day...

1. Can you do a magic trick? I know a card trick or two, and a few science demos that make people surprised.

2. Have you ever made a snow angel? Or a snow fort? Or an igloo?
Angel and fort yes, igloo... on my bucket list.

3. How many of you have an ancestor who is historically significant?
I have been told that an ancestor of mine rode over on the Mayflower, but it's hard to tell I think her name was Abigal... something or other I don't have official papers to prove it.

No magic. Yes snow angels (and I was scanning the thread quickly and I swear I read an "a" instead of an "o" in snow fort... ).

My great grandfather was one of the last samurai. I think that's really cool.

The Last Samurai...One of my favorite movies. Next time I watch that movie, I'll think Ken Wantnabe is Suji's grandpa. That makes me giggle just thinking about it.

Good morning peeps

I suppose a few of you will want some goofy questions of the day....here ya go!

1. Have you ever had a "pie in the face"? Ever done it to anyone?

2. Have you ever posed for a caricature?

3. It's State Fair/County Fair time - What's your favorite fair food?

Ok - I've decided on my topic! Every summer, at this specific time, I wish I had planted sunflowers in my yard.... which inspired my decision - so Sunflowers it is!

A corn dog - the first one I had Joyce, was at the KY state fair it was in the summer of 1995 it was 104 degrees!!!! I was with my friends parents - my parents would never had bought me a corn dog, ever.. Let alone take me to a fair!

No. The only thing I remember Mom telling me about our ancestors was, "Don't worry, honey, no one in our family ever had enough money to oppress anybody."

That's an excellent way to put it!
