1. What is your favorite snack food?
It is a tie between homemade popcorn and hummus...love them both!
2. If you were to write a book, what would it be about?
Something true crime, I've always wanted to be a forensic something...detective/pathologist/crime scene investigator...
3. What movie would you like to have been in?
I would have LOVED to be "Baby" from Dirty Dancing. Patrick was SO sexy in that movie

1. Favorite snack: chips and my homemade dip, kettle popcorn

2: What would my book have been about? Travel experiences from all over the world (because I still have so much more traveling I want to do!)

3. Movie I would like to have been in? Scarlett in Gone With the Wind! She was beautiful, sassy and seductive. I am sassy ya know!

Questions of the day....

1. What is your favorite snack food?
Anything. Mostly chocolate or cheese doodles or something that is really not good for me.

2. If you were to write a book, what would it be about?

My experiences as a Dental Hygienist. I know, you would think it was boring. But let me tell you, you let that chair back and get them comfy and patients will tell you anything. ANYTHING! Things you probably do not want to know. I could tell you stories.......

3. What movie would you like to have been in?

Now y'all all know I am Scahlett reincarnated. Same drawl, same flighty attitude (fiddly dee, I'll just think about that tomorrah)

OH yes. I think maybe Scarlett and Melanie were to show both sides of a real Southern woman. Have you ever thought that? Maybe Margaret Mitchell meant it to be that way? Oh maybe it is just me, but my mama and my aunt Evelyn were like that. Both wonderful women, but Aunt Evelyn was the spunky, go after it, take care of it ALL THE TIME, "don't mess with ME, GIRL" one. My mama could be that way but only when she was pushed in a corner. She was the caring, submissive one, very loving, giving just downright SWEET.
They both had the same qualities, but they showed different ones at different times. Mama was so good and kind, but you really didn't want her to get her riled up. She would take you down in a heartbeat, and it usually was really unexpected.

Google cheese doodles and you'll see lots of images for the crunchy, cheesy yummies. The cheaper they are, the better they are (IMO). They have absolutely no nutritional value whatsoever.

But they are a tasty snack

Now, do Canadians's have cheese doodles? (called something else perhaps?)

Oh Gosh yes! I think I used to be like Charlene, but the older I get the more like Julia I get. I loved it when Julia got "riled up" and gave somebody a "piece of her mind." One of the greatest TV shows ever!

The brand we have here is "Cheetos". They are made by the Frito-Lay company, like potato chips and corn chips and stuff. They have the Red Hot Cheetos now. They are good but man are they hot. They are banning them from schools here. Cheese Doodles just poof away in your mouth to nothing but cheesy good flavor. I don't know how they can be so light and poofy and still have so many calories. And like Joyce said, no nutritional value whatsoever. Just really BAD for you but sooooooo good.
Now we are getting Jeff Foxworthy's "Grits Chips" in the stores. They taste like Fritos.

Because.
I don't know, it was just something they are making now.
The Roswell Food Group - Makers of Jeff Foxworthy's Original Grit Chips and Dips
They come in plain grit chips, Cheddar Cheese, Jalapeno Cheddar and Sweet Heat.
They are made in Roswell, GA and the only place we have seen them is Kroger.
They are like corn chips or nacho chips. The plain ones are sort of blah, would probably be good with dip. The cheese ones might be better........

No, our greenbelt isn't as pretty as that. That one is actually on my sisters property with the stream running through it. Ours is a hillside with different trees growing on it. But I can't seem to find a photo in my album to post.
I'll keep looking.

There are several brands available now, but I grew up with a product made by Humpty Dumpty called Cheesies. Loved them.

Question Chunkier ATC's?

Hello everyone! I have a quick question... I am in the following groups:

Group #4 FULL
1. prairiejen - Soccer ( preferably pro teams )
2. CandyHaz - Superstitions
3. LabradorDork - Girl Scouts
4. terrie.mcnulty - Bumblebees
5. KOneill - creepy Halloween

Group #9 FULL
1. normat - Sunbaked
2. mrslaporte - Hedgehogs
3. Cloudia - Cat-astrophy
4. KOneill - Tim Holtz-like
5. gottaproduce - "Serenity by the sea"

Group #11 FULL
1. KOneill - chunky purple and black
2. LabradorDork - "I painted that..."
3. Jabauer - Norman Rockwell
4. terrie.mcnulty - Zen/Buddhist sayings
5. stampingout - travel

Group #12
1. LabradorDork - ferrets
2. terrie.mcnulty - First Ladies
3. PookieStats - oriental
4. BettyinMissouri - shabby chic
5. KOneill - anatomy

Would anyone in those groups rather not have a 'chunky card'? I tend to build with layers, but I know some people keep their ATC's in plastic sleeves, so I wouldn't be offended if you would rather a flatter ATC. Just let me know!

Thanks!

Yay! Another gal who likes to layer and isn't afraid to admit it. I love chunky, multi- layered cards

And isn't she thoughtful to ask? I like her already.

I have seen them occasionally, but the instances are few & far between. I haven't tried them myself. I like trying new chips, but usually don't care for the really "out there" flavors. Dill pickle potato chips.....really? There's a market for them?

There's this brand-Terra Chips, they used to have the BEST flavor. Bloody Mary. I've never actually had a real bloody mary, but the chips were tangy tomato-ey with a salty worchestershire sauce-y taste underneath. Nom nom nom. Too bad they don't have them anymore. *sigh* Terra chips use all sort of veggies to make their chips, I think these ones were red potato.

Have you ever noticed that the best snacks, are loaded with salt. Really the best thing you can eat with high blood pressure or water problems. So now those snacks have become a once in the way treat and only a few at that. What a bummer eh?

I love salt. About as much as I love cheese. But I have to be careful too. :P
I wonder, maybe we like them so much because we shouldn't have much of them or any at all, and not necessarily because of the taste...
Thats kinda like the men I date... Either too sweet or too salty, no real substance and definately bad for one's health!

To answer your question with another, why are we drawn to those savoury morsels. But I must commend you for being able to distinguish between the good, the bad and the ugly. (men) LOL.

Chunky ATC's sounds good to me.

Joyce, I've not thought about Designing Women for a long time. Was a teen when it was popular. I think it was around the same time that Golden Girls was on.

Good morning

Whew! It's not even 9:00 in the morning and I'm already tired. DH got home last night, and has been Mr. High Maintenance since he arrived. Do you know people like that? Those folks who run on hyperspeed and leave a swath of destruction in their path as they speed by you? He's run to town this morning to renew his HAZMAT Certification on his drivers license. What a chore! Since we are in a small county, they only give the tests on Tuesdays, between the hours of 12:30 and 2:00. Since this is Wednesday, he has to drives 20 miles to town to get a permission slip to take the test in another county, then drives another 45 miles to go to Lexington to take the test, and then 25 miles to get home again. Since the courthouse is only open a half day on Wednesdays, he'll make the trip to Lancaster and back home again tomorrow to get his new license. This is bureaucracy at it's finest, isn't it? Most all truck drivers have to go thru this kind of "hoop jumping" to stay legal. Is there any wonder at all, why the cost of goods and services is what it is today?

Okay...off my soapbox now. I will craft a little this morning while all is quiet. It will settle my frazzled nerves.

I remember those days Joyce, before Himself retired from truck driving. Always stressful.
Truck driving itself is stressful. Himself did that for a long long time.

Ahh! Question: What kind of glue do you use on projects?
I was generally using tacky glue, and didnt have a problem with it besides it not drying totally clear. I had seen other people mention using E6000, and when someone at the craft store recommended it, I got some to try. But omgosh it stinks. And lingers. I used just little drops on my inchies and I can't get the smell out of my apt or off my inchies. I hope it fades. Has anyone used this glue?
I did find tacky glue that dries clear and switched back to that before I asphyxiated. XP

Aleene's Paper Glaze is my go to glue for most things paper related. That and red tape for heavy layering. Glue dots are also a must have for my creativity.

E6000 is only used for 3-D things and extra chunky business. I might need it once a month, if that often. I use it a lot more in jewelry applications. Use GOOD ventilation with that stuff, or you'll fry your brain cells.
