Marilyn, before I got married, I decorated for every holiday - the large ones and the small ones - even the made up ones - I have decorations. Now, who has time? If I don't get any ornaments on the tree this year, I'm already satisfied, because the lights are beautiful and I can put the angel on the top. (The spinning really helps - everyone should have a revolving tree!) This is the MOST decorating I've done in several years, and it took days to get this much done.

As for the RV - Yay! Thanks... I'm picking you up first then so we can go visiting everyone together. We can be adventurers together. How much fun would that be? !!

Well, I just spent this evening watching Jimmy Stewart in "It's a Wonderful Life". Now I am free for other Christmas events or fun things, without feeling guilty that I missed this classic.
As for decorating the house = always. Maybe not as elaborate as I did in my younger years, but definitely with my Santas, Christmas cards, and scented candles and my little table topper tree.
As for that travelling RV, just let me know when you plan to arrive in this part of the country, I'll have the tea on.

Does anyone not decorate for holidays and seasons? Just wonderin. I've been considering skipping the decorating.

1. What really is in outer space? Lost socks and earrings

2. What kind of old person do you want to be? Godly

3. What would you most like to do for someone else if you had the money and time? I would pay off the mortgage and vehicles for my hubby. I would pay for college for my children. I would support local food pantry's more and Buy an RV for JOYCE and she could tour the USA seeing all our SCS pals.
time.
(opps) and Canadian SCS pals too...

A bright Sunday morning, and Santa is coming to town in Vancouver. Chances of sun, cloud and showers today, so hopefully all those lookiloos on the parade route will stay warm and dry, especially the little tykes. Nothing worse than soggy gear standing in puddles. Hope Santa's beard is synthetic. LOL.
Breakfast is over and time for some decorating. Have a good day SCS pals.

It is warm and sunny here in Georgia. Shirtsleeve weather. Wonder how long it will last.
I came home and fixed lunch after church, Charlie and I hit the couch for some Christmas movie watching. I went to sleep, he left and went and sat with Himself. But I enjoyed the nap, I seldom do that.

I spent the weekend getting my ATCs done. Gosh it felt good to sit down and do these. I hadn't done any ATCs since the last PAT. Will get them shipped out sometime this week. Already looking forward to PAT 25!!!

I was going through a bunch of my old ATCs pulling out Paris themed ones. So many of them were PATs...it was like stroll down memory lane. I'm happy to have been a part of these PATs from the very beginning.

I have some thoughts and ideas brewing for this PAT, but I want to finish up with Christmas cards and shopping this week. Then I plan to look at my ATC's with the idea of finishing them before the holiday, so that they will be mail ready, just afterwards.

My New Years resolution - yup, I'm thinking ahead - is to clean out and clean up moving boxes from a year ago, and make my craft area useable.

Good morning

Fun and games on my agenda this week. I cracked a tooth over the weekend, and spent the morning at the dentist yesterday. I am getting a crown tomorrow. Oh yippee

DH picks up the truck tomorrow also and goes back to work. Maybe by the weekend I can get back to my normal routine..which I sorely miss.

That's a good topic for discussion Norma...New Year's Resolutions. Mine is to try some new things and use some of the "special" stuff I have purchased and been afraid to try. I'm going to be fearless this year...(isn't that scary?)

What about the rest of you...resolutions, anyone?

I am finally done all my other obligations and can start to work on these! I am so excited, I have had ideas brewing since the beginning and it has been super hard to finish my other things first.

Same here about resolutions.... they never stick. I just try to live my life and do things the way I'd want others to do them for me!

A New Year's resolution is something that goes in one Year and out the other.

Good one, Paulette.

It is soooooo warm here, and Himself is outside re-doing bird houses. Getting them spruced up for when the birds move back in.

My resolution is to get a handle on my "retail therapy"... lol. I think I may actually have to try that thing where you freeze your card in a zippy so you have to wait till it thaws before you use it. I'm such a self indulgent impulse shopper, and I already have soooo much stuff (but not too much of course, lol!) that I should just concentrate on what I have for awhile.

I 'feel your pain' re: the tooth - ouch on the break! Look at the bright side - they are able to save your tooth Good luck tomorrow.

As for resolutions, the one resolution that I'm certain about is a combination of losing some weight/exercising more. I'm thinking about getting a WII U - anybody have one of these? The interactive thingys really interest me. Straitup exercise (i.e. treadmill, weight bench, etc.) is just too boring for moi - I won't do it very long. But dancing and the like I enjoy.

Okay, shopping done. A few more cards to write up and back to nursing hubby who has come down with the bug. I'm willing myself to thinking that I am fine and will not get it too. I have my druthers, as my mum would say. Fingers crossed.

All I need to do is buy two more gift cards (easy!) finish wrapping and complete a small amount of gift handcrafted items.

Good morning

Well, yesterday was fun. Fortunately for me , I slept thru most of it. (Yay!- thank goodness for dental drugs) I can still feel the effects this morning...typing is very interesting. LOL

DH is back on the road, DS is a school and I have nothing on my agenda today. I might go back to bed and watch the movie I started last night. I remember turning the TV on and selecting the movie, but after the opening music....nothing. According to Netfix, it ran all the way thru - but I don't know if I turned off the TV or if DS turned it off for me. Maybe there is an auto off feature with this TV....hmmm.

Now I can get back to normal and maybe play in my sorely neglected crafty area for a bit. I've forgotten what it looks like in there, it's been so long!

Take a moment for yourself, and enjoy more bed time. Oh I forgot, it is almost lunch time in your area of the country, isn't it? I just crawled out of my bed 15 minutes ago.
DH is still sleeping so I can manage about an hour of play on the 'puter before having to make breakfast for us. I would love to sleep in, but after six or seven hours, my back tells me I need to get up. So that's the end of my beauty sleep. Yucky day out there, perfect for an extra snooze too. Oh, well, life isn't always sunshine and flowers, right?

They arrived here today and they are wonderful! You haven't lost our touch at all! I love the "Disney character" - she's one of my favorites. The "cursed objects" is pretty darned creepy and the "favorite nursery rhymes" - I WISH that were my card - it's one of the funniest to ever cross my desk! LOL PAT Excellence - Woohoo!

Thanks for the bag of goodies for me - it's very appreciated. I'm like a crow...I love to collect the tidbits

Joyce my package arrived with a gazillion swaps. I was a very happy camper. The teachers at work are all fired up about atc/ inchies etc. they think you are all amazing. I finally framed up two more displays of everyone's art and will post a pic. Look for past and present swaps....
Joyce what can I say? You are the best. Everyone thanks so much being the artists that you are, love you all

I love that upside down Advent shot! hee hee hee

I'm so glad your package arrived safely. It was a stuffed sausage, wasn't it? My postal gal said it would be cheaper mailing it all together versus 2 packages, so I had my fingers crossed. I have your other envelope ready for the next swap, so no need to send one next time!

Jen I love that you framed all your lovelies and have them so that you can show them off. You did a great job. I have a neighbor who had a fit that my ATCs and inchies and twinchies are not on display all the time. I would have to paper a whole wall with them! But I have mine in notebooks that I can carry around and share, and I do from time to time. Everyone is always impressed at the distances they have travelled to get to me and the effort and caring artisticness (I made that up) that goes into such tiny pieces of art.
Thanks for sharing your finished projects. That is inspiring even if some of it is upside down. I enjoyed seeing them all together.

Keep it exclusive, Jen. The value escalates with age and desirability.

Well, I have finished my Christmas Shopping. Bought my tape and tissue and bags, so I can start wrapping at any time. Tomorrow I plan to finish my cards and then I have a couple of weeks to tidy, clean up, maybe even sort some excess for goodwill. If that doesn't get done before Christmas, then it will be put on my 'to do' list for the new year.

Question: Do you like to wrap your gifts, or put them in bags with tissue?
Do you use ribbons and bows or just tag them with handmade nametags?
Do you save your bags and paper, and re-cycle next year?
