Okay gals, I've updated the list to reflect everyone's requests. Right now we have 5 open groups, so all you fence sitters need to come up with some topics.

Don't make me make them up for you....hee hee hee

Hi Terrie I'm adding your topics now. I appreciate having an angel in the wings - hopefully I will be able to keep you there and not find a need to have you fly in to save me.

Hi Joyce -- in answer to your question, I am still working, but I'm down to a more reasonable schedule. Of course, now the kids are out of school, so the rest of my time is spent keeping them occupied, lol!

After today, I'm feeling very much like I need to join the beer garden girls (Group 4)...can you stick me in there with Janice and Kari?

Also in Group 3...clarinets and beach bums are too tempting!

Group 1 theme: In the woods
Group 3 theme: Road trip
Group 4 theme: Paint the town

Okay, I'm done. No, really. I'm done. Really.

No. We're never really done. Really. Never.

And some days, doesn't that just set your shorts on fire.

hahahahaha

I've added your most excellent topics now. I think husbands in doghouses would be a good card. If I could find my list of "topics to be used in the future" I would add in right now.

For the chicks in Group 4.....Which one of you is the designated driver?

Hey, Joyce, in the interest of keeping Group #4 challenged, can you change my theme? If it's 5 o'clock somewhere and we're in the beer garden and wine country, painting the town, I think we need:
Another Tequila Sunrise

Better call your Mom now, Jane. You may not be able to dial the phone later.

LOL....I'm changing it now. I can't wait to see the results of this binge. I'm half tempted to jump in with "But Officer, I can Explain!"

Changing the subject a moment - I used to write poetry years ago and I have let it lag by the wayside. But with all our rain out here, and looking outside my window these words just popped up in my head. Bear with me, but I call it
WESTCOAST LAMENT
Grey skies dampen natures spirit,
Mood cloaked misty shroud.
Desire fades to melancholy
Awaiting the lifted cloud.
Colours fade in muted glory,
Petals moist with morning dew,
Waiting, waiting the magic wonder
----A touch of sun----

Forgive me, my lapse in genre. LOL

Desire fades to melancholy....lovely idea for an ATC.

I wish I could trade weather with you my friend. We are starting to become drought strickened, and no rain forecasted for the next two weeks. I'm looking out my window to lots of sun that is rapidly crunchy coating all of my lovely grass to a boring shade of tan. Soon the trees will start to show stress and that will mean a boring fall color change as well.

You may wax poetic anytime. I like it

Thank you ladies for your lovely comments. Inspiration will come out of no where, so I have to write them down. I see I have some interesting categories to create upon. Now if visions would pop into my head, instead of words, paper and glue await.

Norma lovely poem.
We could use the rain here as well. We are on our 3rd day over 100, with more on the way. My roses are wilting as soon as the buds open.

Hi LabradorDork! I have a chocolate one, what flavor is yours? Licorice, perhaps?

I'll add you to the categories you requested and you can let me know the topics when you decide what you want. We're happy you're in for another round.

Okay I'll take one spot in Group #9. I would like a "Vintage/Distressed/Steampunk" theme, think Tim Holtz or Graphic 45 etc.

I got my goodies today from PAT 22 and WOW I'm blown away, I didn't really know what to expect and I love them all. Special shout outs to Jmaraul & Lakelivin. LOVE ATC's now. Seeing what some of you have done I'm not sure mine may have lived up to your expectations/standards. I really hope anyone in the last group that got mine can forgive me. I'll try and be more experimental in this batch.

FYI - You will find that the longer you are in the PAT swaps, the more terrific artwork you will collect and the more creative you will become with your regular partners. You will learn their likes & what sort of humor they appreciate....then it really gets fun. I'm glad you have one of mine and that you like it I look forward to seeing what you create for this swap. That's the fun part for me, I get to see them all!

OK Joyce, You got me. Since this isn't due till September I can do it.

Please put me in groups 8 & 9. I'd like 1940's School Days for one, and Ice Cream Parlor for the other.
How does that grab you?

I had to go back and look to see which card you received. I love the look of Steampunk, but I always cringe a little when I get that as a topic because I don't really have any "steampunk" stuff. It's a very challenging topic for me because I have to look at what I have on hand and consider how I can tweak it to make it fit the steampunk theme. I can spend hours looking at the subject on the computer - there are some really talented people out there who really rock the subject. Some of the costumes and living spaces I have seen are amazing.

I liked that card too

Yeah, well I wasn't sure I would be able to come up with anything for topics. And I was scared of some that had already been chosen. But I have enjoyed the challenge before.... so here we go.

You could make plain toast look good. You have nothing to fear - I've seen a lot of your cards, and haven't seen a stinker yet.

As for topics, I started a list of things that we have talked in past swaps. It has some really great ideas that have been suggested for future PAT topics. Can I find that list right now. Well, no.

I guess they will still be for future PAT swaps.
