I have a stack of embossing folders, I usually think about them after I have everything glued down, I don't know what I would consider my favourite. I did just use the cuttlebug swirls one to put some texture on a Panda Bear.
Yes, I have an SU demonstrator ... I'm a bad customer cause I usually only buy from their clearance rack, but I do go to her monthly card making classes.
1. I have 3 embossing folders that I seem to use more than others, SU Polka Dots and Square Lattice, Cuttlebug Swirls. I love the look of embossed bgs and use my embossing folders alot.
2. Yes I have an su demo and she is wonderful. There is also one in the neighborhood that I go to her card classes once in a while.
Paulette, I have just absolutely creeped myself out. I looked on the internet for ideas for your topic in group 8, "what the cat dragged in......"
Good Grief! Yuck.
I will have to be really creative for this one, because that gruesome stuff does not work for me. Lord have MERCY!
I may not sleep tonight.

Current favorites are pillow box and the butterflies. I have a number of non-SU folders too. I just used a great one with rows of poinsettias for some holiday card fronts.

Oh no, I didn't intend to give you nightmares. I'm sure you can come up with something whimsical.

Did you see the video of the burglar cat that stole all kinds of things from the neighbors? Including lingerie...
I guess the owners finally just gave up and started putting all the stuff out on the porch for people to come claim. Personally, if the cat stole my undies I think he could just keep them!

It's OK, I slept well. I just shouldn't have looked at what I looked up.
You know I am just squeamish and didn't think.
You shall have a nice happy ATC.

Our new dog Charlie will snitch Himself's boxers if he puts them on the floor when he takes a shower. It is funny to hear Himself roaring "Charlie! What did you do with my underwear this time?" It would be so simple to remedy that, but that is just Himself. You know, like either keep your boxers off the floor or close the door. DUH.

1. Have you ever set off the fire alarm in your own house? What happened?
Not the fire alarm, but the house alarm all the time. Just leave the door open too long.
2. Corn on the cob - do you eat it from left to right or round & round?
I never thought about it. But I think I eat it row by row.
3. Have you ever branded livestock?
Oh good grief, no.

You can change it to "what the dog dragged in" if that helps. But if you use a picture of Charlie & Himself, Himself better be wearing his undies or at least a towel.
Used to set off the smoke detectors all the time ... lived in a hotel in Vancouver for a year and ironing would set off the alarm and boiling water ... I disconnected that one ... our first house, a hot shower would set off the alarm ... this house, we've been here 8 years, the smoke detector has only gone off once ... randomly at 3:00am.
Corn, never really thought of it, I don't eat it off the cob very often ... I feel it doesn't flow with any meal (you shouldn't have to pick up your vegetable if you're having a knife and fork meal, and you should only eat one thing that requires both hands to hold ... yes we all have our quirks) ... so once a year we have corn on the cob for Sunday dinner ... yep, just corn and butter, nothing else ... think we're doing it this Sunday ... oh and dessert of course .... I think I eat it round and round
Nope, never branded anything.
1. No I have never set off the smoke alarm. The house alarm yes.
2. I eat round and round.
3.I have been present when cattle was being branded, it stinks, but have never actually branded anything myself.
1. Have you ever set off the fire alarm in your own house? What happened?
Unfortunately I use to do it regularly. My husband would joke, "Dinner's ready!"
2. Corn on the cob - do you eat it from left to right or round & round?
round and round and round and round, with dripping butter and plenty of salt. It ain't health food!
3. Have you ever branded livestock?
No but .... in my younger wilder days ... I ... um ... didn't want a tattoo so ... um ... I have a brand on my behind. There I said it. Now to press "post" 5..4..3.. oh the heck with it.

Before I answer I want that stamp you scooped of the four ladies sitting on a bench!
1) yes and a fire truck came every time. Once our doorbell goy stuck and overheated behind the wall. another time our dryer lint caught on fire. The last time my son used our VCR as an ATM machine.

1) I can say that I have never set fire to my house. But my dishtowels and potholders have been charcoaled a few times and I melted my housecoat once. Dumb, Dumb.
2) I never thought about how I eat corn. But tonight I had my first corn on the cob of the season. Delicious. And I eat it in a row the length of the cob and then come down to the next couple of rows and eat it the full length again. Left or right, it doesn't matter which end I start at. It reminds me of the old Remington typewriters. You get to the end of the row and hit the return bar... ka-ching!
3) Are you kidding me? My dog doesn't even have a tatoo.

Good morning chickies
I love the answers to yesterday's questions. LOL I can just imagine all of you mentally eating the corn to figure out the answer. I'm a row by row girl myself.
Let me see if I can find some new & amusing questions for today.... (digging thru the box....no, not that one....no, that's no good either...)
Okay, here we go!
1. Have you ever cooked a live lobster?
2. Have you ever won a trophy? What was it for?
3. What do you laugh at? What type of humor do you find funny?
3. What do you laugh at? What type of humor do you find funny?
I can find funny in most anything. Especially bloopers. When someone says something they don't expect to say. Because I do that all the time and love it when someone else does.

Yes I've cooked a lobster and it broke my heart
I've won sports trophies mostly track and volleyball
I laugh at lots of things. Usually the funniest is when you are not suppose to laugh.
I've never cooked a lobster, live or otherwise.
I won a 100% gold plastic ship on a stick on my last cruise
I'm not sure how I'd describe my sense of humour ... I do know I never find it funny when someone does something embarrassing.

I could never cook a lobster. But I can eat one cooked by a restaurant chef.
No I can't say I have won a medal. Maybe some brownie badges, or a few pins when I was on Weight Watchers.
Everyone says I'm funny. I can't see it myself. I kill myself in the Carol Burnett team of comedians. And Tim Conway cracks me up.
No, I'm not sure I've ever honked the horn on this car.
I've been stuck in the snow a few times, I can't remember ever being stuck in mud.
Cereal boxes and pop cans, I try to re-use. I recycle everything that they will take.
3. On the subject of going green - What is your favorite thing to recycle or reuse?
I rarely honk my horn so no.
Yes I've been stuck in the mud tow truck and all, it was a dirt lake at the road.
I recycle everything (gifts included) my favorite think would be sport drink bottles because we have a million of those and they pile up.
1. No honking for me.
2. I haven't been but there were a few times I just didn't didn't go out because the road was so bad.
3. We recycle everything that can be.

1. I am usually too busy keeping the car from doing donuts, when sideswiped. Hubby says why didn't you use the horn. Because I'm too busy keeping the car on the road to give up a hand to honk horns. Geesh, man.
2. Oh yes. We bought a new house and did some landscaping but it required a heavy load of dirt to level the yard. And then it rained. So mother and I went out in our gum boots, and we lost our boots in the mud. Hers came off and she lost her balance and fell on her bum. I have never heard my mother swear, but she did, and it echoed all over the street. The neighbours killed themselves laughing and we were hysterical and couldn't do a thing. My husband had just had a major accident and was strapped up and wearing a neckbrace, so he sat in a deck chair and cracked up at us. It was the wrong year for him to be laid up.
3. We have a recycle program here, so everything has to be separated and washed and cleaned. It's habit now, but a hard lesson to learn at first.
I've missed a lot of good questions!! I'm going back a couple days...
1. Yep, we set off the fire alarm everyday too - ours are apparently very sensitive. We have that same joke - "Dinner's ready!"
2. Corn on the cob - I'm a row by row girl... makes me feel very accomplished.
3. Nope, never branded livestock (or myself - lol)
4. Yes, I have cooked live lobster, but it was sad
5. Yes, I have won trophies - for swimming when I was a kid and for good citizenship in high school.... lol - little did they know!
6. I can laugh at almost anything - usually when I make jokes, though, they're pretty dry and sarcastic.
7. Yes, I have honked this week - almost got taken out going around a corner when the car next too me turned into my lane... welcome to Florida!
8. Yes, I've been stuck in the mud - my ex used to have a truck on a lift and we got stuck mud buggying
9. I always make sure I recycle plastic water bottles, even if I have to carry them home to do it. I hear we use enough of them to circle the globe every year, so it seems like that should be a priority
No, I am not much of a horn honker. I don't think I even know where the horn is on my Escape.
2. Have you ever been stuck in the mud?
Not in the mud but in a ditch one time. Don't tell Himself. Don't EVER tell Himself because I would have to give an account of when, where and why and I don't want to do that.
3. On the subject of going green - What is your favorite thing to recycle or reuse?
Glass jars. Pickle jars, cheese whiz jars, olive jars, any kind. I use them for leftovers, make gifts from them, take soup to friends in the bigger ones. I can't make myself throw them away when I can use them for something. Drives Himself crazy.

Hello, wow it's been a busy kind of week. I read all the back posts since I was here last and will work on my questions later. Happy Saturday everyone.

Good morning
I wish I could have been a fly on the wall to see you Norma - I'll bet that was funny! And Sybil....we can't tll Himself? It must be a good story! hee hee hee
How is everyone this happy Saturday morning? I have to spend the day in the kitchen making soup. Sister & I were together yesterday (as we usually are on Fridays) and we were trying to decide on what to fix for Sunday dinner. Nothing sounded good. Does that ever happen to you? Ugh. I hate it when dinner ideas are a chore. We have dietary restrictions that we have to work around, and sometimes we just get stuck. One is a vegetarian, two are picky eaters, one is a diabetic and if I'm expected to be working in/on the day's project as well, then I want it to be no so labor intensive. Doesn't that just wear you out reading it?
So we decided on soup & grilled cheese sandwiches. Sister is making vegetable soup, and I'm making Loaded Baked Potato soup and Italian Wedding soup. I'll pull out the griddle and make all the grilled cheeses at once - easy meal yay! The best part of the whole thing is that when Sister called Dad last night, he told her he had decided that "since we were going to be working on several projects, lunch should be soup & sandwiches".... She didn't tell him that we had already decided that, she let him think is was his idea. Isn't she a good daughter? We got a good chuckle out of it though, it will be our little joke tomorrow.
Daughter, son-in-law and grandkids are on their way to the MadCity. Had to pack up all my crafting toys and make some food yesterday...wild rice hotdish and broccoli salad. This afternoon my son-in-law will be playing the ukulele and singing for a luau here in Madison. My daughter and granddaughter will dance hula. The weather is co-operating nicely---much cooler and lower humidity. It should be a fun day.
luau... YES, me too. It'd be fabulous actually in Hawaii but I'd pretend if I could play with paper and be with my friends.
Sorry in advance about the next epic post... I just love sharing the answers to Joyce's questions.

1. What is your favorite embossing folder (if you use them) and die set (also, if you use them). If you don't, are they on your wish list?
I really like embossing folders, I use swiss dots, divine swirls, Bloom Dots, and square lattice most. I have a few others I like for elegant cards like elegant lines and manhattan flower. The snowflaky one is on my wish list
As for die set, I especially like the embosslit, beautiful wings, and Birds & Blooms Scallop.
2. Do you have a SU Rep that you buy from? Are you a SU Demonstrator? I've been tempted many times to be a demo but too scared to actually dive in. I’m between SU Reps at the moment, I have a new rep that gave me a catalog and is trying to set up Stamper 10 group. I hate paying Shipping and Handling ontop of their prices. So I took a year off of the group I'd been with for three years.

1. Have you ever set off the fire alarm in your own house? What happened?
Yes, burnt food. I opened the windows and aired out the house. Funniest time the fire alarm went off was when my mom turned 60… 60 narrow, candles lots of smoke. . . lol
While in high school my parent's home had several chimney fires, lots of smoke and high drama. Dad decided to switch to oil burner furnace.
2. Corn on the cob - do you eat it from left to right or round & round?
left to right, row by row! Haven't eaten much this year yet.
3. Have you ever branded livestock?
No but I’ve plucked a chicken.

1. Have you ever cooked a live lobster?
nope, don’t think I’ve eaten lobster.
2. Have you ever won a trophy? What was it for?
no, but I helped my son with a pinewood derby car that took 2nd place a few years ago. Cute little trophy.
3. What do you laugh at? What type of humor do you find funny?
I love to laugh! I like jokes, embarrassing moments, and using humor to avoid anger. I'm not a fan of raunchy dirty jokes. But give me a good clean joke any time.

1. Have you honked your car horn this week?
Yep, trying to get the kiddos in the van and ready and to VBS on time. I don't honk while driving unless it's an emergency, someone needs to know they are about to run me over.
2. Have you ever been stuck in the mud?
I’ve been in sticky mud while crawling though caves, and have stepped in and pulled shoes off while working in the garden, not this year- too dry.
I once had to use DH's truck to pull him out of mud while he was riding the 4'wheeler. Hee. hee.... he likes mud!
3. On the subject of going green - What is your favorite thing to recycle or reuse?
We're expected to recycle in Wisconsin and I am a pretty committed recycler.
Best thing-There’s a local waste company that collects white paper, newspaper, magazines and the like in a "magic box" dumpster. Our church earns $$ based on the tons we collect. We’ve made about $300 since Jan.
I like to reuse clear containers (peanut butter and such) but really don’t have a fabulous idea other than storing stuff in them.
Oooo I also like the glass jars that candles are burned in, I clean them completely and use them to store ribbon pieces that are not on the spool. I have one for most colors of the rainbow. DH used to work for Carolina Candles in Oshkosh,WI.
Well thank you for reading through my nitty gritty details. I love you girls.
BTW, Joyce, I loved looking over your stamps and loot from Stampaway.
I believe that there is a commandment about coveting thy friends stamp so I'm happy for you! Hope you are inky real soon.
That's me in the front row holding tight to my basket of stamps so none of these other ladies "covet" MY stamps. This was at Crone's Cottage, a consignment stamp store, that was going out of business. Suji was teaching classes there and took us there. We got some great bargains.
Speaking of jealous and coveting..........I went to mauston to that store and oh my goodness. Everything was $1.39 so I walked out with $40 worth of treasures what an AMA zing place and thankyou so much for mentioning it.
