Laughter is good for the soul. I think the catalogue was Wireless or else Signals ... can't remember (speaking of senior moments). Ha! Did you get the email with all the old sayings and their definitions?

It is really chilly here. Here's Ruby in her sweatshirt. She loves to wear it on days like this. Charlie has plenty of furs and does not want to wear a shirt thankyouverymuch.

Party animal...hahahaha

Watson just watched me make a Jerk Turkey & Noodle Casserole. His job was to take care of anything that fell on the floor.

Since I'm pretty tidy, now he's just waiting for the casserole to come out of the oven. I'm guessing that he'll be Russell's best friend then. He's still a pretty messy eater - much higher opportunity for scraps there.

Ah, Joyce, your Watson photos gave me a good giggle. You caught his expressions so well. Our Charlee could be lost in the inner bowels of the house, but walk to the kitchen and she is there sitting in the doorway next to the stove, with that little swishing tongue licking her lips. (Like she gets too many treats as a habit - not!). And if you ignore her, she growls at you. It is hilarious. My daughter gives her a haughty look and tells her to "mind your manners". She then takes her lay down stance with the big eyes
and waits, and waits, and waits.

He looks like he is smiling in the last picture. He is soooooo cute.
Rosie and Ruby hang out in the kitchen when I am cooking too. Their favorite thing is "Uh oh". They will all three come running for Uh Oh because that means I have dropped something.
I said something about my house needing cleaning one day, and one of my friends said "OH, I'll bet you could eat off your floors." I said "Well you used to could, but now that we have the dogs you hardly ever find anything on the floor to eat. They take care of that." She laughed till she cried.

Aww!! Look at little Watson! He is so cute and I agree, Sybil, that last photo looks like he's cracking a little sly smile!

I'm lol'ing @ Charlie's refusal to wear sweaters!

We've got a couple of scavengers in our house. They hang out in the kitchen and will catch the food before it falls. The little one is the worst. She'll eat something before she knows what it is! That's how we figured out that she definitely didn't like veggies. I dropped a bit of spinach one day and she came right over and slurped it up and promptly spit it back out and looked at me with the saddest little face, like "Mommy, what is this foolishness and why are YOU eating it?" It still doesn't keep her from tasting first. The big one will eat any and everything. Once it goes in, it's in for the long haul. He's the one that will catch things before they've even had a chance to get to the floor! Even with these little vacuums, my kitchen floor is still a mess. If only they would clean up their own fur!

I think I'm itching for another spot...Group 13, "Rainy days," please!

I finally made it to Archiver's after having put myself on restriction for a good year or so, and there are so many cutie patootie papers, stamps and lines out now! I'm still not strong enough to peruse the CHA releases. The last time I did, I bought my weight in stuff...that I'm still hoarding/saving/slowly uncovering so that I don't make "the dude" cut up my bank card and deactivate my paypal account. I ain't the best with not buying stuff.

I am making a serious effort to not buy anything new.....unless it's to complete a project or adhesive in nature.

Watson is helping out in that department. Now if I could just cut back on the chew toys.....

I added you to Group #13. And giggled while I did it.

Thanks, Joyce! I'm getting close to being done with cleaning my craft space and it's like shopping...in my own house. I sure wish I could happen upon some adhesives. I did get lucky and find a roll of red tape in my nightstand drawer. Probably from some late night inspiration which led to a mad crafting session...or just taping up a bill envie.

I've been buying mostly organizational solutions and tings to alter. Oh, and I've finally jumped on the Project Life bandwagon, so journaling cards and 12 x 12 sheets with the journaling cards to cut out. Washi tape has also been a guilty pleasure.

Every time I buy something from my Stampin' Up lady, I tell her I am never buying any more stamps, and this time I mean it. I just ordered that set that has the fish and the lobster..........but no more. NO MORE!
She just laughs.
I really have so many gadgets and equipment and paper and doo dahs that I should be able to craft for at least ten years without buying anything else. HAHAHAHA.
Have y'all seen that little tool from Martha Stewart that is a stylus on one end and sort of a bone folder on the other?? NO NO I DON'T NEED IT. I really don't. But I have this Michaels coupon and.................

JCI. Had the distinct pleasure of the matinee performance of Cinderella at the ballet with my 7 year old DD. Turns out it was just what I needed to beat away the winter blues. Beautifully performed and whimsical too. Men were cast as the Ugly Stepsisters.

That sounds like a lot of fun and funny as well! That would be a fun thing to do with my kiddo on her last day out of school. I'm not sure what the happenings are in our town and I've got to work for four hours, so I'm trying to think of what we can do after work so that she doesn't feel like her 4 day weekend was a complete bust!

Thanks for the heads up - IT IS STUNNING!

Norma - is that metal silver for the base? Who made it? It looks 'liquidy' (prolly not a word but you know what I mean) And what embossing die did you use? Love it!!!

You have asked me two questions that I can't answer fully. But the die is a Sizzix one,
of which I toss the cover and keep my dies in a box for space saving. So the name is lost to me. As for the silver base, yes it is a metal silver base and comes in 5x12 sheets, 3 to a package. It is very shiny and liquidy and can be cut with scissors or a trimmer. The photo doesn't do it justice at all. Again, I toss the top closure to the recycling bin. I just don't have the space to keep this information. Thank you for your comments. They are appreciated.

Oh, I just found the top for the silver sheets. Try this website: Welcome | Elizabeth Craft Designs, Inc.. And the product is called shimmer sheetz SS-0211 Silver Metallic.

Good morning Speedy

Good morning to the rest of you chickies too!

I have a fun weekend lined up...The Boy Scouts are coming to sleep at my house. We have a badge fair to attend Saturday, so they are camping in my back yard and eating dinner in the house. (Anyone one to place a bet that a few of them wind up sleeping in the living room too. LOL) I think I'll have nine this time.

Sister is taking Watson for the day. She's got it written on her calendar IN INK! This means that even if they change their minds, she still expects junior dog to show up for their play date. She's so funny.

Good morning, ladies!

Joyce, that sounds like fun. The idea of boy scouts camping over sounds way more fun that my daughter's rambunctious girl scout troop. Something about 10 year old girls frightens me, and the screaming and squealing! Yikes. They have a service unit sleepover in a few weeks at a neutral location, and from what I heard and saw last year...there is no sleeping. She came home last year and sleep through the whole day! No way I could have that madness at home. There wouldn't be a corner to hide in!! LOL!

Beautiful job Norma!!

I have a question... what do you guys do with all the ATC's you receive? Do you display them, keep them in books or spinny racks? Just looking for some ideas.

Thanks!

Lots of different ways to use them, Krystal, but I use big notebooks and the plastic sleeve things that you can buy to put baseball cards in. Some I put out for a while, but I love having them filed by date or whatever. I buy my sleeves at Target, they have a whole section of baseball card stuff.
