Good morning
Okay, I'll be driving the pink tractor for a while. It makes me laugh too, and it's easy to find in the threads, so it works for me as my "new look".
I'm wearing my MOD hat and then my hostess hat this morning - this afternoon, it's the chef's hat and maybe the chauffeur's cap. Lots of hat to wear today!
Hey Y'all.
I chose Godey's Fashion for group 1, and I wanted to show you why. My aunt Evelyn used to have a couple of them hanging in her living room a long long time ago.
I get a newsletter from "Free Vintage Digi Stamps" and this was what was on there today. Now don't everyone in group 1 use the same one, just wanted to show you how beautiful they are. To me, anyhow.

I was reading the auction listings in my local paper this morning and saw a listing for some Godey's prints were going to be included in the sale. Lots of antiques and such. There was also a listing of lots of Coco-Cola memorabilia also, so they should have a good turnout. (That translates into way to many people for me to get a cheap bargain )
I have bought some at Estate sales, and have them in my bedroom. I don't know why they appeal to me so much, possible because they remind me of Aunt Evelyn. I didn't get the ones she had and of course they seemed so much more beautiful than the ones I have. But they were probably the same. Things look different to us when we are kids than they do when we grow up and see reality.

Those prints are pretty, Sybil! I'll be back to catch up while I'm working this evening, but I just got an idea for group number 5. Vintage pin-ups! I was browsing through a stamp site and saw some neat ones. Can't believe I never noticed that banner on this site. Vintage - Pin-up and Noir Be back soon!
Back! Thought of some more.
#8 Triptych
#11 Can I change that one to, "I painted that..."
#12 Ferrets
I'm still thinking on the others I hope you've all had a good week!

I've got your changes made, but if one of your buddies has already started a gerret card, they don't have to change in the middle of a project. Some of these gals are quick!

OMGosh, it's the pink tractor!
I haven't been here for several days and now this - BAM! LOL
Good job Joyce, I think this is the one! Tell your personal Geek, Russell, that he did a great job. I had a difficult time pulling this one off so I had to abandon the idea for a while. **snickering** Smarty pants teens anyway.

Probably about as long as the first avatar. I like this one as much as the first one, so I'm pretty settled with this choice. It'll be around for a good long time.

Attention, I've made a change to my avatar.
This is Jeanette, one of Alvin the chipmunk's friends. I love her face with those pink glasses. So I have changed from my face to hers. I think she is so cute.
Love the pink tractor, Joyce, although it does give me an earworm - you know that country song about taking a ride on the big green tractor, except my brain changes green to pink because that's what my brain does.
I got all excited when I saw vintage pin-ups as a theme - I have a stamp set for that! Oh, wait, I'm not in that group......<sigh>......it's going to be a long day...
For my Group 8, I think I'd like to make it move.

My dtr's friend posted on Facebook today saying "When have we ever worn shorts, halter top and flipflops on Thanksgiving, here in the Pacific Northwest". We are truly blessed and thankful for this wonderful gift.

The good and bad of going out to turkey supper is: there is no mess to clean up, the supper is delicious, but there are no leftovers. So I was awake at 7:45 am
The most outrageous thing I made to me is the next morning turkey omelette with stuffing on the side.
My grandpa used to spray paint the wishbone gold. ???? Those were our left overs I guess.
******** if you are in group 4******* please submit your TBD because this Saturday I'm at a weekend scrap and plan on doing all of them.
thanks a bunch.
