I have a busy day today, my Mom who is 80 lives in a 55 and over community. A couple of times a year I host a luncheon for her and her friends at her house. So today I am cooking for 20 of them.
Chile, Mushroom Barley Soup, Tomato soup, mac n cheese, chinese slaw, chicken and cranberry salad sandwiches and ham and cheese wraps. That ought to fill them up. Now off to the kitchen to finsih up what is left to do.

Norma, that is probably a southern thing, I have heard it all my life.
We also have gulley warshers, but last night was worse than that. I think it made up for the deficit of rain we had all summer. Poor Charlie nearly busted for not wanting to go out for hours and do what he had to do, but he was so good. When he did go out, he had to swap hiked legs twice, couldn't stand on one long enough to get the job done.
The sun is out and it is beautiful today, clear and cool and bright.

Poor Charlee, oops I mean Charlie. Charlee is our little dog, she's a diva. But HE must have had a workout in that cats and dogs weather. LOL.
It's not raining here, but very breezy and cooler today. We learned last night on the weather news, that British Columbia has had the dryest, sunniest August and September on record of over 160 years. Now that's news. So we can't complain with the coming of
winter rains.

Charlee! That is adorable. We have 2 girl dogs too. We are dog poor! But we love them.

We have had some flooding and trees falling and such. The roots get so dry and then with the heavy rains they just fall over........huge old oak trees or other hardwood trees. We go from drought to flood here. Very changable weather. Last year we went from Summer to Winter almost over night. We are experiencing a beautiful Fall so far. But you never know what will be next.

Manitobans always blame Colorado for their weather. Not overly sure how this all started.

Okay "cursed objects" is a very creepy google. So I've decided to go with a more humour slant to this one.
and. "sons of anarchy?" not quite sure what this is? I googled it and it is a t.v. show? What is it about?

It's a TV show, but I haven't watched it - so I'm not much help. You might check Wikipedia. They usually have a decent description of television shows.

I'm with you Jen. I haven't a clue about "sons of anarchy". I looked it up and am even more confused. Also Cat-astrophy is another strange one, so I'm going to go in my own direction on that one.

Remember chickies...THEY give you the topic. It is up to YOU to interpret as you see fit. Many topics can be referencing several different things. If one way doesn't work for you, try another. You are not trying to read minds here and make the card that your partner has in HER mind. You are making the cards the way YOUR brain interprets the phrase. That's why they all come back different, and that's the fun of PATS.

Love the pic, Joyce! Reminders me of when my youngest met his step-grandma. She was dressed like that. The next day I heard him telling his friends that his "new grandma is a witch!" He was quite excited about the whole thing. LOL

MY COMPUTER IS FIXED!!!!

My semi-adopted ex-geek Patrick fixed it. He saved all of my files, and everything works well. I did lose my Power Point and some other things but I didn't use them anyhow. All is well. It communicates with my printer, and I may be up all night playing with it. It is fast too.

I used to be a huge fan of "Sons..." but it went in a direction that was a little too twisted for my tastes. Something about biker bad boys attracts and repulses me at the same time, if that's possible.
Sorry about the "cat-astrophy" stress, Norma. I feel for you since I went through the same thing trying to figure out what to do with "tee shirts and Knickers" in the last PAT. Joyce said it best - take it and run with it and have fun with it.

Could my own two sons be sons of anarchy I wonder?
I just found out there is a little airport type company on our border town that allows Canadian shipping. Only one hour away. How cool is that?

Good morning

Here is today's avatar. This was my first choice of avatar pics waaaaay back when I first joined SCS. It's my pet woodpecker Sasquatch.

(and yes, he lives outside - not inside. But he is a regular diner so I consider him my "pet")

Can I just say...Yay!

My recommendation to you is to permanently adopt him, and if he fixed the computer, he's still a geek.

I think the saying is "Once a geek, always a geek". Isn't it?

Good morning peoples. Just rose from the dead and have a front row seat to the traffic, both vehicular and human making their way into the high school across the road. It's a continuous barage to the mind, so early in the morning. But a half hour from now, it will be peaceful bliss. Aha, so Claudia, it's payback time is it? LOL. Not to worry, something will spring up when I'm ready, I'm sure.

Patrick is amazing. His family has lived next door since he was in middle school, and the older he gets the smarter he gets. We don't see him as much now, but he is always so sweet and loving to us, and he thinks of us as his "other grandparents". It is hard to see him and our real grandsons growing up and getting busy with their own lives. Patrick used to be the supervisor of the Geek Squad at Best Buy but has a "better" job now in Alpharetta somewhere. He is still in college too. LOVE that guy.

ACK!! No way. It's too early for snow. We are still in shirtsleeves out here. I hear that Calgary got some of that white stuff yesterday too. I'm not ready for it yet.
