A little rainy, off and on today but I can feel the cold settling in tonight. It feels like a hot chocolate night and maybe some crafting too.

My fun new thing is to put all the dog toys in the "toy basket' and watch him drag them all out again, one by one. It's a stacking bin with an open front - he can walk in and out of the container. It's so funny to watch him. Toys don't belong in there, they belong all over the floor (according to him).
And you are enjoying having a lap dog aren't you? That is so sweet. I miss puppy playing. Hug Watson for me.
When we first got Charlie he found the toy basket, and would take one toy out and sniff it and taste it and put it aside. Then he would get another one and do the same thing. When he found Flossie's teddy bear, he took it and carried it around for days. He slept on it and just basically used it like a security blanket. He doesn't do that now, but he plays fetch with it. He still takes all the other toys out, and between him and Ruby there are toys all over the house. I found a fuzzy yellow banana squeaky toy in the kitchen pantry floor. NO idea how they got it in there.

Cloudia - your package has arrived safely.

Too much fun! I laughed out loud over the Vintage Children. That's how we explain acquiring Russell. The sparkle cards is very pretty and the shaped card has a great shape! The hedgehog made me go "aww....". Finally, love, love, love the dance card! I want one.

Thanks for the wobbles for me Now I can shake something up a bit - let me go check my stamps!

Great cards sistah!
Oh, yay, made it before the due date! I made that vintage purse on Paulette's card, but my favorite was the sparkly one. Sometimes everything just comes together and it did on that one.

I keep all the dog toys in a laundry basket behind "their" chair in the family room. Every day, I put most of them back in the basket so I can vacuum, and as soon as I put the vacuum away, Sable and Lexus are pulling them back out again. Sable likes to sneak the toys into the backyard. I usually find out when I mow the lawn...

Well, we went from a minus 20 degree windchill to 57 degrees in one day. That has to be some kind of record. My backyard is under water. Today the wind is whipping around and the temps are supposed to go below freezing, so I will have an ice skating rink with dog toys embedded in it!

Good morning

It's snowing here. I'm so glad I don't need to go out into it today. I've done most of my chores this morning, so the rest of the afternoon will be devoted to getting inky.

Hi there! Sorry to keep ya'll waiting. I had a bit of a snafu with the backs of the cards, of all things! I was testing out fully adhesive paper and wouldn't ya know I printed all of the backs, filled them out and gasp, went to adhere them and I printed them on the wrong dang side. Here I was standing with a blank "sticky" side and 20-something personalized atc backs. ;'( I may or may not have thrown out some swear words and thrown some of my craft stuff. I'm pleading the fifth on that one.

Anywho, since I was going to be late, I acted on some last minute inspiration and reworked some of your cards. (darn my late night racing mind!) These will be postal as soon as I drop my kiddo off at school in the am. It seems like it takes a day for things to hop over TN to ya Joyce, so hopefully you'll have them on Tuesday!!

Thanks so much for putting up with my slowness. So much for my NYR of being on time for stuff. *cries*

Oh, I am so excited. I always look forward to my mail when I know something good is coming. I am really concerned about the mail now though.
I ordered stamps from the post office the last week in January, had a swap due the
15th that I wanted to get them for. They sent me a note that they were shipped the 1st of February and I am still waiting for them. They evidently only have robots working at the PO, can't get an answer over the phone, can't ask but certain questions on the internet, and I am beside myself. I ordered twenty $1.00 stamps and some more different denominations, about $40 worth. They have already been charged to my credit card, and I can't find a human that knows what is going on. I did it on line because of the nasty lady at the post office, and now.............
I need chocolate.

What would I do without you Paulette????
I am so glad to have IFFs to keep me sane and out of trouble.
It has only been since Feb. 1 that they were shipped, so will wait a while.
I do have to say that Himself paid the credit card bill and shredded the statement.
He drives me crazy. CRAZY! !!!!!!
We have caller ID on all our phones, and he thinks his calling in life is to delete all the numbers that show up. He will say "Some lady called while you were out and said for you to call her."
" Who was it?"
"I don't remember her name".
"Did you get her number?"
"No"
All the phones have been cleared out.
Now I ask you. Is it just me?

I looked under SFS and got the page you found, and have saved it. It says in one place after 10 days. and there is a SFS phone number there. It says I would have to have a copy of the order where they billed me, and I do have that. I feel better. I just go a little ape when he does some of the NUTZ things he does.

Glad they got there I'm mad at myself too - in my rush to get them out the door I forgot to take photos, so I don't have anything to remember them by - I worked hard on some of those little boogers! Anyway, was so glad to be able to join and enjoy everyone's creativity - such a wonderful group of swappers and the hostess with the mostest - it's always a thrill to play along... Thanks so much everyone

Depending on what card it is you can probably go online and reprint your statement - I think most companies archive them online for at least six months...

Thanks, I was thinking there would be something I could do. I will just try to be patient and see if they come soon. I went ahead and mailed the swap, of course Himself took the package. With instructions. If it gets there with the right postage inside it will be amazing.

I got my ATCs today and, to quote Joyce, they are all "...just over the top with fabulous artwork. Off the chart... ". I will be rotating all of these on my ATC easel display and enjoying looking at them and being inspired.

:::Gush alert:::

<gushing>

I'll start with group 8 in no particular order:

Danielle/Labrador Dork, I was amazed at how many layers you got on the ATC for a 2-1/2 x 3-1/2 work area - incredible dimension and design and the twine and button embellishments were perfect finishing touches - love it!!

Claudia/Cloudia, I cannot remember where I saw this stamp, but I remember thinking that I really wanted it - and I love that it's paired with a sentiment to dance and dance she does with your make it move technique!!. The coloring and shading is gorgeous - what did you use for that? Wonderful details, too.

AJMac/Tamara, Your shaped cupcake looks good enough to eat!! So much detail and I love all of the shine - was that accomplished with embossing? Even had embossed lines on the cupcake base that made it really look like folded paper. Plus a cherry on top and a sitting on a lovely doily with a flower - just terrific.

Joyce/Jmaraul, I don't know where to begin. The embossed coffee filter background is gorgeous ! I am going to have to look up how to do this technique - I cannot figure it out - how did you get the text in the background? And what did you use to color the background? I can't believe it's a coffee filter - it feels like velvet (you know I had to rub all over it LOL). Then the beaded, folded felt with moss based onto a real stick (is that stick from you pergola?) - it truly looks like a moss taken from the woodlands - just beautiful. ANd then the dimensional butterfly embellishments that carry on the theme of the embossed butterflies that are in the background - just beautiful and with glitter bodies - wow!!! The card says 'believe' and I believe you have really outdone yourself, Joyce - incredible.

Group 13 in no particular order:
Joyce/Jmaraul, An acetate window indeed!! What a clever way to get the window dimension. Wonderful watercolor background (is this the coffee filter technique?? I love it !!) with flowers and beaded centers and 3-dimensional little butterflies that 'soar' like the card says. And all of these behind a 3-d acetate window that 'floats' over but not touching all the 3-d elements - how did you do that?? And the window is boardered by a decorative strip at the top and a pretty ribbon along the bottom. Fabulous

Janice/jabauer, Oh My Gosh !!!! An ATC-sized crown, bejeweled and glitzed and embroidered, yes I said embroidered, with 'Queen Of Inkland' in large and glorious letters across the full face of the glorious crown. How cool is this??? I will cherish this, Janice, you can bet

Paulette/Parknslide, This has got to be one of the most glamorous penguins I've ever seen! I love glitz and this guy (or gal) is standing on a beach of fabulous glitter over an artic blue snowflake-embossed background. And I love the penguin stamp with all of the dot patterns and I especially like the dot border around the image - whose stamp is this? Love the image. And the penguin has an awesome glittered scarf in pinkish red that really pops....and all of this topped with a pretty snowflake metal embellishment - TERRIFIC !!

You guys have REALLY REALLY REALLY raised the bar. I am going back to the drawing board for PAT25 and am gonna have to think long and hard to come up with anything that can remotely touch what you guys have created for PAT24 WOWOWOWOWOW

I'm glad you like them

The coffee filter is versamark stamped and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. Sponge inked with Ranger inks, then mod podged onto a book page. Cut to size for an ATC so the butterflies were where I wanted them. I got 2 ATCs from each filter with little bits left over for inchies. Ink dyed the ribbon and then stitched it with the beads....twined the green fluffy fiber with it to make the corner embellishment. The sticks are from the yard (near the pergola). I like the free floating butterflies on the acetate - I hope they didn't get too squished in transit. All the cards were made the same way, but the color placements were different for each one, as well as where the image was cut for the butterflies. I REALLY loved that card when it was done.

The other one is Versamark stamped, clear powder embossed on cardstock. Then sponge inked with ranger inks. This one happened by accident. I wanted the acetate to be like a window, but I cut it the wrong size. That's when the wrap came into play - it helped pull the card back together and take it where I wanted it to go. Again, this one has color variations and different places in the stamp to make each one different. I have used this technique on a JAMS card, and stamped on the acetate before putting it into place. I like both of these approaches and will be working with them again.

We went to the flea market today, and they have a little pet shop inside. The same lady has been there for years, so she must not have had any complaints or anything. She sells yorkies, shih tzus, and chihuahuas. And sometimes mixed up ones.
Anyhow, when we walked by I peeked in, and there was the cutest little shih tzu, looked to be about 2 pounds, black and white, looked just like my Flossie Belle when she was that size. She looked me in the eye and wagged her little tail. Himself squatted down to look at her, and she put her little paws on the cage and wagged her tail.
I walked away crying like a baby. She was only $550.00. ONLY. It was really hard to walk away from her. But I did and came home and hugged big old Charlie and got over it.
I hope she gets a good home.

Q of I, that penguin stamp is a clear stamp by Inkadinkado. Did you take the ATC out of the plastic sleeve? The penguin is attached to a wobble spring & he "shivers" in the Arctic cold.

THEY ARE HERE! I am just beside myself! I am going to have to get to a point where I can sit still to look at them. But I have them out of the package and am just amazed, as usual, at the creative, beautiful ATCs you ladies have made.
THANK YOU so much, and thank you too, Joyce for such a wonderful swap.

I've sent a PM message to KOneill to double check when her package was mailed. As of today's mail it has still not arrived. Once I received her reply, I will post when the rest of the packages will be going in the mail.

Sorry for the delay

Queen of Inkland: Yes, on the cupcakes it is all embossing powder - actually I meant to put on the back and forgot that I used scented embossing powder, so they may still have a little scent - you should be able to detect vanilla and/or cherry... glad you liked it
