Ribbon find at Michaels!!

I work at Mikes and yesterday I found a great deal!! 15 yards of ribbon for $1!
It is our "basicbasic" ribbon that we sell for $3.99. It is only certain colors....but those colors go great with SU! colors....celery, river rock, pomegranite, amethyst, a light pink I can't remember the name of, and turquoise. There is also a dark brown and a teal. In our store they are on a "power panel" (a hanging fixture) in the ribbon aisle......the sign above ours said "clearance $2" but when I scanned them they came up $1. So I snagged up 12 of them. Now I am thinking I should get more!! I don't want to go over board but it is a great deal!!
I am curious to see if any of you find this deal at your Mikes.

I know, I grabbed 10 rolls myself. You cant beat the price. Ours were on the end caps. I need to get more, because I love satin ribbon all widths.

I didn't find that exact one, but I was there on Thursday and got 20 yd. rolls of really nice soft organdy ribbon for $1.99. Very nice, not stiff like you usually get for that price.

I got some of the Dashes, Dots and Checks ribbon - which looks awesome with the SU! Tart and Tangy set!! It is only 5 yard for a dollar, but it is really nice!!

What state/ area are you in? I live close to a Michael's so I just went to look. They didn't have the sale that you describe, but of course I found some ribbon I bought anyways!!!!!

I found some here in Canada - but ours was on clearance for $3.99... if it's the same stuff as you are talking about. This is what the ribbon I found looks like.

The cool carribean one is awesome! Mine was on and endcap but the other Mike's had it in the $1 HUGE bin at the front. It is a little wider than I am used to but the colors are so yummy!

I read this thread and then forgot to look... then last night (when I was there without the toddler) I stumbled upon it! WOW! 15 yards for $1! REally pretty satin. Yeah, I'm a ribbon glutton. That 20% off total purchase coupon would have helped... but still...

I found mine in the $1 bins near the front of our store. They have the candles/notepads/journals/etc in there also. Fenton, MI store.

It is Berwick Offray ribbon. Spool O'. There are 10yds. on the spool. 1/4" or 1/8" wide. There is a rainbow of colors. I hope I was somewhat helpful.

I found a different kind:

9 colors (color printed on receipt but isn't on product):

Sold in 3/8" (15 yards), 5/8" (10 yards), and 1 inch (didn't buy this)

Brand name: BasicBasic Simply Satin

Thank you so much for the heads up! I happened to be at Michaels yesterday (I don't get there often) and was able to find the ribbon - such yummy colors and a great buy! They were in the clearance section in that particular store.

OK. I stoppped in at my local Michael's (Richmond) could not find anything at that price BUT the 5/8 BasicBasic satin ribbon that sells for 3.99 for 10 yds
and I picked some pretty close matches to SU colors Creamy Caramel (Tan)
Chocolate Chip (Brown) Turquiose (Turquiose) Moss - Close, True Thyme Closer (Olive) Purely Pomegranate (Hot Pink)

I didn't see the Berwick Offrey Ribbon - and I just couldn't bring myself to go through the jumble of $1 Ribbons in the front - they were mostly too wide anyway....

Hmmm...the Michael's nearby where I currently live isn't so hot, but I will be traveling (quite far!) to where I used to live tomorrow. Just got a 40% coupon in the mail as well. Would looooove to get a great deal on some ribbon. Thanks for the tip!

Got mine. Got very close look alikes to: purely pomegranate, buckeroo blue, river rock, almost amethyst, cool caribean, chocolate chip, tempting turquoise, glorious green, pink passion, and pretty in pink.
Also found some grossgrain for regal rose, tempting turquoise, creamy caramel, sage shadow, brilliant blue, only orange, black, and cameo coral.

I was just at Michaels in Mason, Ohio, and they had ribbon at the front of store for a $1. All different sizes and kinds. You have to dig around. My four year old was a lot of help in digging area. Good luck girls.

I found ours in the clearance section too...but it was definitley picked over. I got promegranite, river rock, pretty in pink, chocolate brown, celery, creamy carmel. I was really hoping for turquoise. OH WELL!
