Big Kick on sale at Michaels!

I just purchased a Big Kick at Michaels today for $50 - that is 50% off! I don't know if it is just the store in my neighborhood or all of the stores but it 'sounded' like they were clearing out some of their more pricey products. All of the Sizzix dies were also 50% off. If you are looking for a BK or dies you might want to check them out before the sale ends.

I noticed that the Cuttlebug and all Cuttlebug tools and accessories are 50% off at my Michaels. Resisting more folders atm ...... it's hard!

This week's ad shows all Sizzix and Cuttlebug products at 50% off.

Even though I really don't *need* a new Big Kick (mine is one of the original red & white ones from early 2007!), that periwinkle color is pretty...

I have a Cuttlebug I've been very happy with for several years. Do I NEED a Big Kick? Is it more complicated to use than the Cuttlebug, i.e. platforms, etc.?

not complicated at all! but the BK is great for bigger dies so if you are looking to cut the Bigz dies, etc. the BK is the way to go.

The Big Kick just has the one multi-purpose platform, which has tabbed shims attached to it that you flip either open or closed depending on what type of die you're using, or if you're using an embossing folder. The info about what tabs you need open or closed is printed right on the platform.

Then you'll need a set of clear cutting plates. And if you want to emboss with Nesties, you'll want one of those little embossing pads.

But basically that's all. Cutting plates and platform.

In my opinion, that's easier than trying to remember sandwiches of A, B and C plates.

edited to add: The multi-purpose platform and one set of two cutting plates come in the box with the Big Kick.
