Penny Black released Valentine stamps - 1 by Elzybells artist!!!!
I was SOOOOOOO upset when Elzybells closed down - they were my very favorite stamp company and over the last year, I've been trying to collect as many of her stamps that I can buy for my own collection.
Before she closed, I thought she'd mentioned on her blog that she was going to be designing for Penny Black. I've been checking the Penny Black website over the last year and never saw anything that looked like Elizabeth's work. Finally, I wrote an email to Penny Black and they told me they were releasing one of her sets this week and more next month. This is the one they released called Raindrops & Kisses:
If you check the Penny Black blog today, you will see an Elzybells set that was part of her last release. I have the companion rectangle set, and I remember wavering back and forth between the 2. I hope this means they will release a lot of her images, because they are adorable!
When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace.
I just found out there is a website in the Netherlands that still has some Elzybells stock! Selection is limited, no sentiment stamps and they appear to be all bare rubber. I ordered 18 stamps! Their Elzybells stock appears to be 25% off as well!
Since I'm in the US, I placed my order and they had to email me a paypal invoice with the adjusted shipping. It was a little hard placing an order because it's all in another language, but I was determined to make it happen! The amounts are listed in Euros, but with shipping, my 18 stamps averaged about $5 USD each.
This is an older one. I thought I'd recognized it, but it's a Slapstick cling set instead of a transparent set, like all the others, so I talked myself out of believing it was an Elzybells design, but I've confirmed it is:
