Default PayPal Rebate

Note sure if this was posted but....

PayPal is offering a $15 rebate on a purchase of $30 or more through March 31st.

http://paypal.promotionexpert.com/gr...te=bannerout.s

Excluded Transactions: The following transactions are excluded from this offer: Send Money transactions, payments to Personal Accounts, eBay payments made to Personal Accounts, donations, PayPal Mobile transactions, payments for services, Virtual Debit Card payments, PayPal ATM/ Debit Card payments, payments made when you are not logged into your PayPal account, and PayPal Plus Credit Card payments not made through your PayPal account.

Rebate Payment: The $15.00 USD rebate will be deposited into your PayPal account by May 28, 2007. If you made your purchase in Canadian Dollars you will receive the Canadian Dollar equivalent of $15.00 USD at the day of the rebate payment.

If you take PayPal and/or have any customers who use PayPal, it's a great thing to mention during Sell-a-bration. There are so many places now who also take PayPal so don't forget to take advantage of this yourself.

Woohoo, that means I should have more money to spend. I just made a paypal purchase 2 days ago. (that is if they take my signing up retroactively...might just have to make another purchase just to make sure!!! LOL)

I've been a victim of identity theft, so I'm a little nervous about this promo. I went to the PayPal website, but I don't see this promo anywhere there. Am I just being paranoid? Has anyone successfully taken advantage of this great deal? Just wondering...

Just make sure it wasn't sent to your home e-mail address, someone posed as PayPal and sent us an e-mail saying if we input our information they would give us a rebate. I asked PayPal if this was true and they said NO WAY! I immediately had to close my account as it was fraudulent! Be careful!

I just got a spoof PayPal email 2 days ago. Luckily, I remembered all the warnings I've read about this, and even though I clicked a link, I didn't enter any personal info that it was asking for. I immediately forwarded the email to PayPal, and they responded saying that they were thoroughly investigating it and that I had been spoofed! Scary!

This thread about the rebate reminded me that I signed up for this very rebate a week or two ago after reading about it on SCS - I'm suddenly wondering if it's a scam...it's pretty coincindental that I got this spoof email after signing up for the rebate...be careful ladies...

I think that this has to be spam/phishing because the address doesn't include the "s". Whenever I log onto paypal the address is always https etc. The s at the end of http indicates a secure website.

Good Luck

Default Spoof

If you are ever unsure whether it is a valid message from either ebay or paypal just forward it to [email protected] or [email protected] and they will notify you within minutes whether it is valid. I use this all the time, just to make sure. HTH

I honestly believe this is legitimate. It was posted on LifetimeMoments, and one of the owners mentions in a thread on their Message Board that they spoke with someone at PayPal. Here's the Lifetime Moments 'announcement', for those interested. (They're a reliable site, btw.)

I never received the email, so I'm not eligible. :( For once a legit. paypal email and I don't get it! LOL

I believe it is legitimate also as I said before I signed up for it and it was on the paypal website itself. All I had to do was click on it so I don't see how this can't be legitimate.

Well, I just got the email from Paypal to say that my account had been credited - went on the site to make sure and there is is $17.08 CAD - even though I wasn't emailed the original offer!

Thanks for the info Later Dais. I think I will use the funds guilt-free to order some more Karen Foster Snap Stamps!
