I got an e-mail today too about a brand new crop-a-dile; it's called the Big Bite and can reach to the middle of a 12x12 page! It says that it's out in limited release right now but will be widely available in March; When I clicked on the page, it brought me to the old one too; the new one looks pretty cool though!

I would love one with a bigger bite. I wanted to puch a photo box and couldn't reach below the bottom of the lid. I wonder if I can "trade in" the one I got for Christmas.LOL Debbie
No the new one is going to start being available in March this year and only on HSN on the 10th. It will reach up to 6 inches. That was my main complanit about the regular COD.

I bought one and my invoice says I should expect delivery on Feb. 4th! I am SO excited. I too disliked the lack of reach on my regular crop-a-dile! Oh, and it comes with 350 grommets!

I just watched this HSN. I am one that cannot justify another 40.00 for it. Plus the shipping charge. As they said, right now it is exclusive to HSN. I will use my old hammer & eyelet set from SU if I need to set eyelets and such farther in. I just would get the use out of it. I could see an avid scrapbooker using it alot though.
I woke up this morning and turned on the TV and fell in LOVE! I was so excited! I ran out, called a friend and ordered two! It did say "EXTENDED DELIVERY" and my invoice said Feb. 4...not too bad! THey also said that you couldn't order it anywhere else except there until March, I think.......THey said they baught them all!
I LOOVE My original cropodile and I think I will LOOOOOVE this one too....especially the reach it has and it looks like you could go into wider/thicker things too! I'm pretty excited about it too!
OK... No where on the HSN website does it say it's a pre-order. When is it supposed to be available? I just bought it thinking I would get it soon. :(
If you ordered on the website it says extended delivery. They sold out of the ones that they had at midnight. I even ordered mine at 12:30 and it was extended delivery already. I should get mine at february 4th. HLH
Oh and I forgot to mention that it is a good thing that I didn't open my original cropadile yet. Now I can sell that one (kinda sad because I love pink) and get the new one with a better reach. Hope everyone enjoys their new tool
I agree that it looks like you could set things into thicker objects... they showed in the video on line scrapbooks or notebooks with a mat added to the front that would be great to add a photo to! I also like that it has little detachable legs so it can be used sitting on a table.

I was low on willpower and ordered mine at 7am! Feb 4th was the date offered for delivery - i can wait that long! I liked the long reach, plus this one also does grommets! And it does look nice that it can be hand held or sit on the table to work! Darn this addictive hobby!
Wow! Just checked out HSN and what a tool! Love my orig Crop-a-dile, but has such a short reach. The Retail of $83.19 is outrageous though IMHO. The HSN price is definately a lot more reasonable. Trouble is that HSN won't ship to Canada. I'll guess I'll have to wait and see what it's worth when I can eventually get it up here before I decide whether or not to buy.

Oh of course I had to see this post...and ordered it and the case. I just need to hide it from my husband. I was hoping to have it for a crop the first of Feb. but mine didn't even give me a date. It just said it was backordered. I will have to go look again. Thanks to you enablers. I hope I love it as much as my regular one.

The guy demonstrating the Crop this morning did say that they will be priced at 39.95....where you get the "bargain" is in the gromets that come with it, 350 or something like that, he showed a whole bunch of piles and said that each pile will run about $5. 39.95 isn't too bad compared to other things out there! Too bad you can't get it in Canada.
I bought it last night. If you go through Mr. Rebates online, you can get 5% off through Mr. Rebates. They also have a 15% off coupon for new customers.
I just bought it came to $45.90 can't wait to get it! I love the fact that it goes all the way in 6 1/2 inches from the side.
My sister in law bought one too!

You can't use the coupons on a Today's Special. But it's still a great value!
Someone else mentioned that on another thread, and the only thing that I can figure is that the coupon worked for me because I ordered it before midnight. Someone on one of the threads here posted the item number before midnight, so I used that to order it, and when I tried the coupon, it took $5.99 off of my price. Sorry, I didn't realize it wouldn't work today!

Mine will be delivered by 2/4! I am so excited...I was watching it on TV and fabulous hubby said order it. I said I used my budget for this month...He said use your credit card..Of course I did!
I just bought the purple one on HSN last month (yay) and I also ordered the new Big Bite. Did I NEED it, er no.... but I think it will come in handy for the long reach projects. I didn't get the case but I wish I had (out of stock now). Oh well.... I'll get it some day. LOL

Woot! If they are shipping already how cool is that! I cant wait to show it to my two sisters. They never even heard of it! Mine was due on 2/4 also so I guess it might show up early!
Dang, I don't see it on HSN now. I will have to keep an eye out too. I have the CAD that is purple with the purple case too. I really love mine, but once in a while I had wished I could punch in farther. I still have about 1/3 of my eyelets from originally purchasing it this past summer.
Does the new one punch the holes, too? I don't see the part on top like the older one has. Maybe it is all built in more?
