Michaels Data Settlement
If you made a purchase at select Michaels store locations from January 1, 2011, to May 12, 2011 and your Payment Card was swiped on one of the Tampered PIN Pad Terminals, you could be entitled to Benefits under a Class Action Settlement.
A settlement has been reached that resolves lawsuits over whether certain customers suffered damages as a result of a data breach at select Michaels stores between January 1, 2011 and May 12, 2011. The court has preliminarily approved the settlement, which could affect your rights.
Eligible claimants may receive compensation and/or credit monitoring. To get benefits you must submit a timely and valid claim.
On April 4, 2013 , the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois will hold a hearing to decide whether to approve the settlement, and a request by Class Counsel for attorneys fees and expenses. Settlement benefits will be issued only after the Court grants final approval to the settlement and after any appeals are resolved. Please be patient.
Please call (877) 835-1435 to listen to pre-recorded information regarding this Settlement or to request that a Claim Form be mailed to you.
