I just scored a package of 40 note cards and envelopes with eyelet edging for $2 at Big Lots. They have it in it's own little section with the other paper goods. Not the scrapbooking stuff where I looked first. The cards are so sweet and I thought they would be really fun to "dress up". They also have packets of confetti that are just punches out of vellum. A whole little package for $2. It was worth that much not to have to punch them all out. I bought the one with daisies but they also had doves and bridal stuff. I also bought a package filled with vellum envelopes. They were designed to be used as party favors I think but I will use them in my scrapbooks to hold little souveniers or coins I pick up in foreign countries. I usually buy mine from scrapbook sites but for $2 for 20 it was too good to pass up. They may not be acid free but I won't use them for pictures anyway. The other thing I bought was a package of 20 stickers designed to seal envelopes. They were $2 also but really sweet daisies I thought I could use for lots of things.
Hope this is useful info for someone. I feel giddy about my new stuff.
I bought the same cards and envelopes. I just wanted the envelopes though and am not sure what I am going to do with the cards. I hate the thought of just tossing them out. I also got the daisy stickers, blue gem stickers, and white pearl stickers all were $2 each :-) They were just stocking the end cap when I was there. They had a ton of stuff but like the original poster said it was pretty much all "wedding". Good idea about the little velum envelopes. I might have to make another trip and see if any are left.

Thanks for the heads up! I went to 2 Big Lots before I found the endcap with all the wedding stuff together. I picked up the last two sets of Eyelet Thank You Cards (40 ct). 40 envelopes for $2 is great. The cards themselves are kind of flimsy, but I already have plans to cut off the eyelet border and use it on other cards. ;)
The eyelet cards are a little light weight but I actually thought of using them with some other light weight, colored cards I bought last year. That way the eyelet really shows up. Or even just using them as is. I get used to having everything on heavy paper but it doesn't always have to be. I think I will try decorating a few of them and see how they hold up.
I had recently bought a bunch of this stuff for my grandson's wedding, June 6. I got the Guest Book in the eyelet style for $8.00, the pen for $3.00, the Flower Girl Basket for $8.00, and some of the charms and wedding cake stickers. Then while shopping at Big Lots a couple of weeks later, we found the end cap of Martha Stewart stuff, too. It was EXACTLY what Wal-Mart had! The only difference was that Big Lots was a lot cheaper! I got the little heart shaped treat tins in a box of 20 for $2.00! I had another grandson that just got married Saturday, June 27. They had almost everything that they needed. Big Lots had the Flower Girl Basket and the Guest Book in 2 different styles! All for $2.00! I didn't go ahead and get another Guest Book or Pen even though they were so cheap, because I don't have any more grandchildren getting married any time soon.
Big Lots had the cup cake accessories, too. It had 24 cup cake cups plus 24 decorated, heart shaped sticks that was really cute, also $2.00! It really pays to shop around for any type of party supplies, or special occasion party. Wedding supplies were so expensive and when you can get these beautiful things even Thank You card with envelopes etc for $2.00, you can't beat that with a stick! (That's an old saying from my Mom)!
Our Big Lots is also about 45 miles away, but it is right down the street of the Hobby Lobby I go to all the time, so I always check out both places and I always check for the bargain bins!
Thanks for the tip. I went to my local Big lots and got the daisy stickers, eyelet cards, some seals that would be a cute little pop on a card and the daisy vellum.
I think they will make great quick and easy cards.
