Hi, Viv -- When you upload photos directly to one of your personal albums, you don't have the option to fill in those additional fields. The way to work around this limitation is to upload the photo to your member gallery first. That will allow you to fill in the extra information. Then you can move the uploaded photo into one of your albums.

I don't get this option on my uploads. What am I doing wrong please?

Aww thank you for answering this. There's just one more question please... what do you mean by 'my member's gallery'?
I'm such a duffer on here! I'm quite intelligent usually. LOL

When you go to the Gallery and click on "Upload a Card" in the left column, you'll get the Upload Photo page. The second field is a drop-down box for Category. The default is Member Galleries.
The gallery mods have asked us to choose a category, but I have a difficult time using that drop-down with so many options. I usually just upload to Member Galleries and then move it later. Just make sure that the next field for "if you would prefer to upload to one of your albums, select one here" is set to None.
After you've uploaded your card and filled in the extra fields, you can move it into one of your albums.
Judi, girls, you are all angels!
Thanks for helping this duffer!
(It's taken me months to realise that I can't leave comments if I use Firefox! I HAVE to comment with I.E. or it won't work)!
Big hugs Viv xx
Here's a bump and a question. How do we upload our cards to companies other than Stampin' Up!, like Penny Black or Mo's Digital Pencil. The only thing I know is to upload it and include Penny Black in the tag - hoping someone will move it to the right album.

All of those company galleries are *key word driven* - so all you have to do is include the correct keywords and they automatically show up in those galleries. When you click on any of those galleries lok up at the top and you'll see the keywords that are included in the search - you can use any of the ones you see for that particular company. I hope that makes sense.

Also if you can get the word out, if a member uses their full state name, or full country name as the beginning of the title, there will be enough letters for a search to narrow to those in your requested area. A search does not work with only two letters.
When I upload various projects is there a way I can place them into the specific company gallery? I looked but didn't see the mfg list in the upload gallery (other than SU). Is this something you do or are just company designers allowed to post in those folders? I have some creations which could be placed under various mfg. and want to be sure to give them proper credit.

Great question!
For companies other than SU, just use a KEYWORD that applies to whatever company is responsible for your stamps. Ex: Lizzie Anne , Clear Dollar, XYZ Stamp Company, etc.

Oh cool, that's good to know. I wanted to start uploading things but wanted to make sure I knew what to do first
Thanks!

Just an additional note on company KEYWORDS. You can go to any company gallery and look in the upper left hand corner to see which KEYWORDS will work for that company. You can just choose one of those keywords - usually the easiest to remember and most generic is the company name, all one word with no spaces. Some of the specialty words are set up for the company's design team.
Hi,
I tried to upload an album. I thouhgt I was doing it right, but they went in as individual pictures. My question: Can I delete the pictures and try again? I did them about a week ago. I think I know what I did wrong. Also, if I do an album can I add pictures to it?

Hi Sharon ...
Hopefully this will help you to create an album:
Enter the Gallery.
Click on "My Albums" in the left column.
Click on "Create a new album"; name it.
You'll have choices of uploading, delete, edit, sort.
Yes, you can move existing photos into your new album, like this:
Go to your desired photo.
Click "Edit Photo" (lower right area of details).
In the "Change Category" box, scroll all the way to the bottom. You'll see your personal album(s) listed as a selection. Click it, and save.
Thank you TexasGrammy! I think I did it! The other question, was now, can I add photos when I have more?
Thank you!
♥♥♥
Sharon
Yes indeed!
When you're ready to add more photos one of your albums, it's really easy:
Go got "Upload Photos"
The 3rd choice down is [quote=or if you would prefer to upload to one of your albums, select one here[/quote]. Choose your album.
Now just upload as usual.
NOTE: When uploading in this manner, the options to include all of the specific details such as stamps, paper, inks, accessories is not given. You can do 2 of 3 things regarding this note:
List those elements within your description.
Skip those details.
Upload the card as you formerly uploaded to any category (where you can include all the juicy details), then... ...
"edit" your album to add in the photo, just as described in my post above.
I hope you can help me with some questions about uploading pictures and getting them in the right place.
(1) I notice many uploads of others have SUO as the category. How do they do that? It's not listed in the selections, and you can't type it in.
(2) When I submitt an upload, I have the hardest time finding it in the recent uploads. I see that some were uploaded after mine, yet mine isn't there.
(3) When I choose a Stampin'Up catagory, it may or may not show up in the Stampin'Up gallery.

Hi Brenda. I'm not Jenn, but maybe I can help you.
SUO - this a keyword, so you just need to type it in the keyword section.
Recent Uploads - are you a Fan Club Member? If so then you get instant uploads. If not, then all of your uploads have to be approved by a Gallery Mod volunteer and there will be some lag time before you see your photo in the Recent Uploads. How long that takes just depends on the Mod schedule at the time and how heavy traffic is.
Stampin' Up set galleries - I looked at your gallery a little and it seems all of the cards I looked at do appear in a specific set gallery - this is whichever gallery you select int he pull-down menu. It will only appear in ONE set gallery and that is NOT driven by keyword. So for example this card http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/ga...&ppuser=193352
which features multiple sets only appears in the Season of Friendship gallery because that's the pull-down gallery you selected. Does that make sense?
I hope that has been of some help. Let us know if you have further questions.

In the last couple of days, I've had trouble uploading my cards - it tells me I have to reduce the size. But they are the same size they have always been. My understanding is that the software automatically resizes them. Has something changed? If it has, can you please tell me how to resize them?

Many thanks - that answers my question perfectly and tells me how to do the resizing.
I am new, and I figured out how to post to my gallery, but I can not figure out how to post a card to a company gallery. Can someone help me out?
Thanks,

Congrats on posting to the gallery!
To place your upload into a stamp company gallery, simply enter that stamp company name in the "Keyword" box during the upload process.
If you're uploading SU items, all SU stamps have a gallery of their own, which appear alphabetically in the pull-down gallery menu box at the beginning of the upload process.
Please note that if uploading to your own "album", the project cannot be shared in a company gallery.
Jenn - Recently I uploaded two pictures from the weekly tutorial to its gallery. When my confirmation came through, each picture had been moved to another gallery. I e-mailed the "contact" folks about it and they were all moved into the correct gallery. Thank you so much for your dedication to the site, and responding to our many and varied needs. I LOVE Splitcoast!
Thank you for taking the time to go over these points again as a reminder to each of us. I really appreciate your time and all of your efforts to make this the home we all love, and live in, day in and day out.
How do I make any links that I include in the description just show up as a word? I've seen that others have done this and I just can't figure out how to do it!
How do I make any links that I include in the description just show up as a word? I've seen that others have done this and I just can't figure out how to do it!
Hopefully I include all the steps and this will work ...
Highlight and copy the URL (website address)
Choose "Go Advanced" to post your reply (if you quote a post you will also be in the advanced mode)
Type your reply, highlight the word(s) you want to be represented by the link.
Click the tenth icon on the bottom row (it looks like a globe with a chain link) - if you let your cursor hover over it it will say "insert link"
When the window opens "paste" (I prefer CTRL+V) the URL into the space (be sure to paste over the pre-filled http because duplicate http will result in a bad link)
Just wanted to make sure about this- it is under 2084 pixels any direction? That's what I scaled my digital images down to, and they look fine.
Thanks for the help, it is so appreciated!

Each camera produces a different setting until changed (when possible) by our hands. If those numbers are working for you, you're doing great .. no worries.
