I hope I am doing this reply correctly. I thought the reply button would be with every post. So Emily, I hope you read me.
I got such a charge from your email about pixels. LOL I have a feeling you are a fun person, full of it! And you are my "sister". Nice to meet you. We have the same Father with a different mom. LOL
If you do a search on pixels you would get how to use them. They are a cinch. You did it in your photo program.
About.com does a pretty good teaching job.

I uploaded a card this afternoon into the Quick Cards Gallery and I could not find where I could enter the detailed information about the card - it was not on the "entry" screen - so I thought that maybe it would be on an additional screen. I hit submit and my picture was gone. So I am not sure where it is. Where is the location to enter the information? From previous posts - it said it is supposed to be on that screen but I didn't see it. OR have I done something wrong??

Can someone please help me? I'm new here and I know that somewhere in my browsing I saw a post on what to do if your uploads keep coming up turned sideways. Of course, I didn't read it at the time and now I can't find it.
Thank you all so much!

Hiyas,
I just uploaded my first card, but I made an album first and put it in there thinking it would organize my gallery. But on the gallery page it doesnt show anything, so how will anyone be able to see my album and what is the difference with just uploading cards to my gallery and uploading them to albums?

Yesterday, I got a comment on my most recent card (doing the happy dance) but the lady said she had a hard time getting into my *gallery*. I've been checking to see what others have done and I think that I didn't understand the word *gallery* correctly when I first started to upload my photos.

I created an *album* which means when you click on my user name and see gallery it takes you to a gallery with only one picture showing. You then have to click on that picture to take you to my *album* of cards.

What I would like to do (and don't know if this is possible) is go into each photo/card (26 cards) and edit it to take it out of my *album* and put it in my *member gallery*. Can I do this without causing them to also appear in *today's* upload as they have already been there in the past?

I tried uploading my first card today, and I know I have to wait for it to go through, but there were no "paper, accessories, ink, stamps" etc fields to fill in. Did I do something wrong, or do I fill all of that in AFTER the image is approved? Thanks.

ETA: From the homepage, I clicked on gallery, then clicked on my gallery, then in the upper right hand area clicked on "upload photo". So I think I went to the right place but not sure how to get those fields for the card recipe. Thank you!

Sorry,
i was so excited about finally putting some of my things in my gallery that i did not read all the do's and don't. So now that i know more i will try to remember to change the name on the file, and to put it in the right gallery. Is it too late to change the name of the file now?

Thank you for this information, You might have something here how to crop. I scan and I do not know anything YET about cropping and pix. size. I am new at card making but even newer at Computers, I feel like I have taken a crash coarse this past year just learning how to scan and until a few weeks ago I just learned how to link. Now that was rocket science for me. And may be there is something here about cropping and I have not found it yet. I better learn so no one will be mad at me .

Default Challenge upload

I uploaded a photo for a challange and I forgot to add part of the keyword. Is there a way to edit this once it is uploaded? I have no problems adding to my own gallery.

Thanks,
Kim

Yes, Kim,
Just go to your upload, click EDIT, then you'll be able to fix things. It will take a little bit for the change to take hold, but it will happen!

You sure can. If you're uploading to a set gallery category, you'll see spots for Stamps, Inks, Papers, etc. Have fun!

Thumbs up Thank you again.....

This is the second time I have asked the same question.
I am now going to print out the first page that tells you exactley how to upload in your own album. I am calling this a learning curve and not a dumb mistake Thank you

Default Watermarks

Hi Jenn,
I wonder if you could help me, I'm very close to uploading my first cards to SCS but I would like to put a watermark onto my cards as I think this looks very cool and professional, how do you go about this.
Many thanks for all your tips and information.

I have just joined SCS and have loaded my first card to my gallery. I understand that it won't appear in other galleries until the image has been approved but for the life of me, I can't find the "image awaiting approval" that is suppose to be in the image status. Can anyone point me in the correct direction?

Sorry if this question has been already answered but I have looked around and can't find the answer.

Thanks

Today I uploaded 5 items into an Album for the first time (usually just upload to my gallery). It took all of the information, but there was no place for Stamp sets, ink, paper, etc. The items appear in the Valentine's Day grouping. From what I read, I can add this information if I "edit" my photo and choose a different grouping--like a specific stamp set. However, when I do this, then the item will only show in the new grouping. Am I correct? I was surprised when I didn't get a chance to add that information when I did my upload.

Yes, you are correct, ScrapinGranDe.

One solution is to edit under each photo entry to add in your own text such as:
Stamps -
Paper -
Accessories -

The project will remain in your personal album, yet the specifics are there for readers.

Use the Keyword area to add: Valentine, XYZ Stamp Company ... and the project will come up in searches for Valentine as well as searches for XYZ Stamp Company.

How do the cards get into other companies gallery? I recently uploaded a card that used Spellbinders die and even though I had Spellbinders listed, it doesn't appear in that gallery.

Just insert the word Spellbinders into the keywords of your project. If it's a project you've already uploaded, you can edit the photo to add in the keyword.

Red face From Member Gallery to Album?

Sorry if I missed this, but can I move a photo from my member gallery into an album within it? I don't see an option to do this when I click on edit for the photo, I meant to put it in the album but goofed!

Yes, you can.
  • Click "edit photo".
  • At the 'change category' window (under the browse button), you'll find your Member Gallery listed at the top (1st choice).
  • Scroll to the very bottom of the list to see your personal albums, and select the one you wish. Save changes.
  • It may not be apparent to you for several minutes ... but it will happen.
Hope this helps!

I, too, am having trouble getting my cards to show up in a Company Gallery. I used Crafty Secrets Clear Art Stamps and have those words in my keywords, but the cards don't show up in the Company Gallery. Hope someone can help me. Thanks!

In your keywords, you've got a space between the words Crafty and Secrets. The gallery can't handle spaces, so you'll need to change that to craftysecrets or crafty_secrets. Either of those will work.

You can change your keywords by displaying your card and clicking the Edit Photo link (bottom right, below the card's description and details). Your edits won't take effect immediately. There's a delay before the gallery catches up to them.
