Just thought I would let you know. I know there have been mixed reviews about this site, but I have never had a problem. So I thought I would share today's discount price.
I placed a 30.00 order and shipping was 9.00. But with all of the money I saved, the shipping was worth it. They had TONS of primas at such cheap prices...I stocked up.
I read this post on the Gingerwood board (see Miffed w/ Stamp Company. I would do a direct link but I'm not allowed to? )this morning and I'm worried now. I placed an order last week (haven't received a ship notice yet) and now I'm wondering what will happen to my order.
Apparently, they charge you for the items upon receipt of the order (no matter that the item may not be in stock).
Asianstamp, I don't know what anyone has said over on Gingerwood --- but most people over here have been happy with their orders. I ordered on 7/7 and also 7/11 and haven't received either yet but the 7/7 order was shipped yesterday according to frugalities. Hang in there !!
I placed an order today also. Some items I selected a few days ago were sold out when I finally placed my order. But these showed as unavailable and I was not charged for them. Also, at checkout it said items would ship in 5-10 business days. It is a little slow compared to some sites, but seems worth it for the good deals.
I just double checked with Frugalities because I hadn't received notification of shipment. They IMMEDIATLY replied with all of my shipping information. I was totally aware of their handling time when I ordered. So far I am very satisfied with them!
I just placed my 3rd order with them!!!! They keep adding stuff. I thought it was a deal where as soon as it's gone it's gone but I just ordered the Basic Grey Perhaps 6X6 paper pad cuz I didn't see it on there the first two times I ordered. Of course then I discovered Queen & Co. brads!!!! Went a little crazy there. Oh well.
I did get an email notice today, that my first order has shipped. I'm not worried.
I placed a couple orders too. One yesterday and then one today when I found a few things I really wanted that I hadn't added yesterday. I got an email confirmation for the second order, but not for the first order. I see that my cc has already been charged. I'm not worried though, just excited about getting a bunch of great stuff at almost 1/2 off!

I ordered the day it was 49% and got e-mail notice that it was shipped priority today. I'm exciting and happy with them so far! Can't wait to get the goodies.

I got my e-confirmation yesterday and one of the items (Queen & Co. heart brads) was not filled but I was charged for it. I know it's $2.70 but I refuse to accept a store credit from them (that was the stink described in Gingerwood). With the high shipping, it's not worth it to spend the credit (I'm thinking along the lines when they discontinue the high mark off sale).
Anyway, I shot off an email to them and am waiting for an answer. So, ladies, if you received a shipment confirmation, carefully look at what was shipped. They list everything you order but if you check the shipped column, there may be some that says "0." That means you didn't get the item but were charged.
Hey, Asianstamp I might be in the same boat. I ordered twice and something from order one was not available so they are giving a store credit. But my second order has already been shipped and they said nothing about giving me the credit ----- so I have Emailed them as well. I'll let you know what happens --
I got my order today and I'm happy with everything, plus I liked their packaging. Think I'll watch to see if it goes to 49% again and order a few more things. I didn't paythe extra, but mine was shipped priority and I got it in 2 days.
I got 2 orders today with one to go! I can say that I'm very happy with all my new goodies and they are packaged just fine! I have just one more order to come, well maybe I'll order more if it gets to 49% again!
I emailed them yesterday requesting that they give me a credit on my credit card rather than a store credit -- I haven't heard back from them. I did receive my order and it was packed a lot better than most things I get by mail
It looks like they are affiliated with Addicted to Stamping and Addited to Scrapbooking. The pages are the same, the layout is the same, the shopping cart is the same, the coupon code lines are the same, etc. I order from both of them quite often and am unfortunetly quite familar with their websites ;)
I'm wondering if these are items that are low in stock and/or discontinued items from the main websites.
Just a thought.
BTW...after seeing the similiarities I felt comfortable enough to place an order with them, inspite of the what seems like a high shipping. If you think about it, a two pound priority mail box is almost $8 now so it didn't seem too bad ;)

Frugalities is owned by the same parent company, so they are related. But it is operated independently and have different policies and rules where needed to be able to offer the best value.
The vast majority of the items are actually the "most-top-selling items" in the warehouse. So they will generally tend to be the best selling items from the biggest brands. This is because those items are placed at the front of the warehouse and are easiest and least costly to stock and pick. Being primarily a scrapbooking web site the selection is slightly biased towards scrapbooking as opposed to rubber stamps or knitting. (Many people forget about Addicted To Crafts, which is primarily knitting and needle crafts and the like.)
Discontinued or overstocked products are rare because those tend to be the slow selling items, and that is the opposite of the profile of the typical Frugalities product. (Think: fast moving products that are most likely to be carried by the competition.)
Has anyone been successful in getting a credit for something that was out of stock? I mean a credit card credit, not just a store credit --I EMAILED them and haven't had a response yet.
I received my order last week and am very pleased with everything. I too was sent a notice stating that one of the items I ordered was unavailable and I would receive a store credit. I replied requesting a credit to my charge card instead. I just checked my cc yesterday and it's there. I ordered when it was 49% and will watch again for that amount. Will definitely order again.
It's 45% again today! I ordered a some stamp cleaner, tearing templates, a bunch of stickles, and some adhesive. It's nice to be able to stock up on the basics.:p

Well after waiting 2 days after I contacted them and getting my cc invoice without the credit, I sent another email and made a stink about the credit issue. They credited my cc account immediately.
I guess you have to really be insistent.
I've just placed an order - they have the 3 Bugs in a Rug Caboodle Kits - and today with 45% off, that's $7 and change per kit. Lower than I've seen anywhere! I'm also trying the stickles I've heard about on this MB!

I just got my first order in the mail today. It did take a little longer to ship than some other company's, but like some people have said it is worth it for the price. I love the ribbion and primas. I had the blank blender pens in my shopping basket and by the time I was checking out it sent me a note saying that they had just sold out. I have no problems with them. I am thinking of doing another order tonight
I was very pleased with my order - in fact, I ordered again today. The shipping policy is shown on the website, so I knew it would take 5 - 10 days to ship. There is a thread over in general stamping Forums at Splitcoaststampers
where the folks from Frugalities share some insider information on shipping times/costs, if anyone is interested.
