I've never bought them now (even tho I do love what they do) because I felt they are just too expensive. So I guess now, I'll never be able to get them

I balk at paying $6 for them as is...no way am I spending more than that for a stupid marker...no matter what pretty things you can do with them. I'll stick to colored pencils if I have to...ridiculous.
I heard that Copics are pricing themselves out of the market over in Germany and other areas of Europe. Priced so high that other art markers more reasonably priced and just as quality are starting to outsell them.
Btw, Art Supplies from Dick Blick Art Materials has art markers cheaper than ooZak and here is an unadvertised 10% discount code for items which are not on sale, works with all the markers except Shinhan Touch Twin because they are on sale . The code is EN4111
They have great service and shipping is reasonable.

Buy them now. While they are still inexpensive. The prices will not change until August 1st!
Is that for ciao, sketch or the original? That is a good price. Many places either don't ship to Alaska or they charge crazy extra shipping which makes it prohibitive to purchase them.

That's for Ciao, $4.15 for Sketch and $4.25 for their Originals.
FREE SHIPPING applies only to the 48 Contiguous United States
That is impossible to answer. There are 346 different colors. Although few if any people buy all of them.
It depends on what you want to color. I like to color flowers , foliage and birds and a few Tilda's so I bought colors to do those.
Then what colors do you usually use to make cards? I don't do well with muted colors or browns so the only browns I have are a couple for brown hair ( for Tilda) and tree branches.
I like vivid pastels . Pinks, Yellows, Light lavender, true Blues, aqua and reds. So I most of mine are 0's - 01's and a few 02's ( the first number after the letter )
You need to educate yourself on the numbering system and how they work . This is a very informative site I Like Markers
You really need to buy a couple and try them to see what will work for you and if you like them. They have a bit of a learning curve, but once you understand the principals of shading they are great.
Check out the Copic FAQ here There is a wealth of information.

Carpe diem has them on sale right now for 3.95...once they are in your cart it shows up at the sale price and if you order 13 you get free shipping, roughly $50 in sales.
They refuse to answer my emails about shipping to Alaska. The shopping cart says shipping is "undetermined and I have emailed them 4 times. Their shipping policy says they ship to all US states. Poor service..actually non-existent service.

They are out of town until the 15th of this month. That might be why you haven't gotten an answer from them. Orders start shipping on the 16th
I remember getting a email from Rusty and he stated that they needed a break.
I've never bought them as they were always too expensive for me.... but the price hike just goes along with every thing else that's going up in price.... with employers NOT giving raises to match the "cost of living" increases makes it much harder for "hobby money" nowadays!!!
