And, yes, most booths take credit cards. THANK GOODNESS, right? LOL!

I look forward to meeting you!
Thanks for the info! I bought my ticket and they emailed it to me, have it printed and ready to go. I totally see me forgetting it of course!

You best stick it in your purse then, so you don't forget it !! Forgetting it would be my worry, too.

Most of our boxes are packed but we will have a few more things to do to be totally ready to leave Friday morning. I keep worrying that I will forget something super important. It's not like I can just turn around and come home to get it unless I want to drive an hour and a half and back again. I guess we'll see what happens .

Cindy - I made it to 8 stores, technically. I tried 3 times to park at Esther's and it was useless, so I gave up (I even went back after Lorene's but still couldn't park withotu blocking soeone in, so I gave up.) I made it to Times to Remember in the outlets sicne I had dinner over there, but didn't find anything I couldn't get at home so didn't make a purchase. So, 6 stamps later...from what I read I don't have to mail the page back because it was less than 8.

I have to say, the stores I went to were pretty busy. I'm so used to going and having the places to myself, this was quite a shock! I hope the ladies did well enough to consider doing it again! Rachel King had some good ideas she was bouncing off me & another lady about suggested routes & signs. I thought they were decent suggestions and helpful tot those who don't go these places often (or know the area.)

I had a great time, thanks to all who put it together & participated! I could have only made it on a 3-day weekend, so I really appreciate that option this year!

We had a great time!! We didn't get to hit all the stores on the SHOP HOP, but next year if it falls the same weekend as York (WHICH WAS GREAT) we will hit them all! Just come a day early! I got some neat stuff and talked to very nice people! It was a wonderful idea!

What roadways are you going to be travelling on? Not sure if you are coming south down 83 thru Amish Country across 30 or down 95.

Default Stamp-ede's web site

That is the old web site and has been closed down. The search engines have not picked up the new web site yet. The way to get to the new web site is Page Title Let me know if you have any further problems.

Default Stamp-ede's web site

OK that did not come out right lets try again. It should read:
--www.stamp-ede.net-- That should get you to the Home page of the new web site.

Some of the stores that participated in the shop hop last year are having specials this month. The ones I know are:
Pages In Time, Barbara's Stamping Delight, Country Cottage Creations, L&L, From the Heart, and Farmhouse Memories. You need to bring your shop hop bag to get the discounts they are offering. There might be other stores as well - just give them a call to see.

They sometimes have church on a Saturday morning but Rosa Jean is usually there. It's probably better to call ahead to be safe, though.

I'm heading up there too, but won't hit L&L until probably late morning. Don't forget to bring your shop hop bag for discounts at some of the stores that participated.

Hello everyone:

I drove past Country Cottage Creations today and the sign was down. When I came home, I called and the answering machine answered as "Zooks and County Cottage Creations" so I'm hoping they are still in business. I also called Chestnut Level Creations and their number was disconnected. Then I called Bonnie's Place for Scrapbooking and the same thing happened - disconnected as well as Scrapbook Junction in York. Does anyone know anything about these places in PA? I am having guests from out of town, and two of those days, stamp-shopping trips were planned. Of course, we'll hit Barbara's, scrapping from the heart, creekside stamps, and flower and craft warehouse - then, the next day it will off to Stamp-ede and Stamp Hideaway. Thanks so much!

Country Cottage is definitely still in business. Maybe her sign fell down in all the wind we had recently??? Yes, Chestnut Level is out of business, but another Amish lady bought her stuff and opened a store with that inventory plus new stuff. Her store is Flowing Spring Creations, 1912 Street Road, Drumore, PA 17518. Phone # is 717-548-2339 ext 6. I think she is open Monday thru Saturday 7:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., but you might want to call and double check that. I've only been out there once. It's on the same side of 272 that Chestnut Level was on, but it's definitely further off of 272.

There is also Farmhouse Memories in Paradise and L&L in Ephrata too.

If your trip happens to fall on July 9 and 10, that is the weekend of Barbara's chicken BBQ benefit and stamp store sale.

I am planning to take some day trips this summer so I will be checking these out. Sure would like an update if anyone knows which ones are open or closed. I can tell you that Nora's near Mifflinburg is still open. If you are looking for stamps, that's the place to go! She has so much more (baskets of embellishments, etc.) but she is wall to wall stamps!

Go back to the announcements page and look on the right hand side. You can see how many replies a thread has as well as how many views.

Found it. My problem is that I have "My Subscriptions" as my web page so I always start with those posts that I subscribe to. They don't show the number of posts that way. Learn something new every day.

Pre-sales have started for the Buggies and Buds Shop hop happening October 4 thru 16 again this year. If interested, I've attached the registration form to fill out. You'll just have to mail it back to whatever store you want to be your home store. If you need a store's address, just let me know.

This year, you will get an 8x8 album instead of a tote bag. And each store's make & take will be either a single page or double page scrapbook layout. Price is $12.

Scrapbook Junction is closed, there is a website for them, and I see her posting ads on craigslist selling stuff out of her home, and on etsy. Stamp-ede is closing I hear at the end of the month. They have everything 30% off. Super sad- I just found that store about 2 months ago and the first time I walked in I was in awe. That's the only stamp shop I've ever been in. Anyone know of any around York, Lancaster?

We really don't have anything in York once Stamp-ede closes. There is a scrapbook store in Mt Joy called Paper Place and of course all the awesome Mennonite and Amish stores in Lancaster.
