We have 300 guys in our company alone in Iraq & several in Aphganistan. Thank you all ahead of time. I went out & bought a giant Christamas stocking to put all the cards in to send to the guys. The simplest things really mean so much to them. :mrgreen:

If you have any remaining cards that you want to go to a soldier please send them to Tawnya. I know there are a few people that said they would send them right after Thanksgiving because they would have a stamp party that weekend. So, just send them on to her. Any cards received that where sent after this was posted...don't worry I will send them on.

Tawnya will now take over this post and up date you on what she has and from who. I know she will have 300 with in a week after Thanksgiving...because you ladies are awesome. Thanks a bunch for everything. I love ya guys ((((HUG))))

I just want to thank everyone in advance. Its amazing how generous all you crafty ladies are. My husband & 12 of our friends are currently serving in Iraq. We also have other soldiers in other parts of the world. My husband is with the Guard, so this is all new for all of us. He has over 300 members in his company & we have 2 other companies. My 1st goal is 350. Let's see if we can beat it. I'm really looking forward to seeing all of your wonderful work. The guys appreciate the smallest gesture, so homemade cards are gonna wow them. If you have boxed cards you'ld like to donate, I'll take those too. I bought a giant Christams stocking to send all the cards in. Once again, thank you for your help making their Christmas special.

Do you want just blank Christmas cards, or ones with messages inside too, and blank cards for other occasions for the soldiers to use?

I'd love to have the Christams ones w/ messages inside & blank cards for the other holidays, I miss you, Happy Birthday, etc. for the soldiers to be able to use. They have a box in the common area that the guys can go through & pick out cards to send home to their family. Can't wait to see your cards Jane & thanks for doing this.

WOW my mail box is gonna be full. Thank you all so much. I talked to my husband & he said they sure could use a little pick me up. The guys are starting to feel a bit down & missing their families & home. Thanks again.

Ok...drum roll please.

I counted the cards last night. Put the ones aside for my DH and then for the other wife. And guess what....I am sending Tawnya 400 cards.

Im guess that means we met that goal. As stated before...after we reached the goal I asked that if any one had any extra cards that you wanted to send over to get on anysoldier.com and find a soldier and send them cards. I would encourage you to do that. You can even find soldier from your state or even in a particular branch.

I truly want to say thank you to everyone. My DH still can believe I actually got as many cards as I did. Thanks a bunch. And Tawnya…the cards are going to be coming in two flat rate priorities….so, tell me when you get them.
